Reaching at the level of English Premier League in next 50 years is not possible because they have not stuffed like England and things are surely completely different with conditions and geographical problems as well, but one thing is surely they can do good in next few years which is surely going to be had good chance for this region because recently we have good competition in these Gulf countries for having good soccer team, and they will surely invest big amounts for which will bring latest facilities for players and other structure which will help them few Asian countries are recently also serious about soccer game which is also good.

Qatar World Cup and now transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo in this Saudi Professional League is going to be positive for them because now they can bring many other players as well which will also increase their presence and finances as well.
I don't sure have good progress with Saudi Arabia Pro League learned from Chinese Super League spent much money signing star player last several years but until right now not impact yet with having good competition. But seems more popular as advertising only when Saudi Pro League signing several star player for up coming next season but difficult reach English Primer League level.

For higher return investing is worth for Saudi Pro League but some star player come there when have under performance with European team and difficult getting regular position, Chinese super league signing many young star player in Europe competition but they can't reach higher level with their competition right now and I think Saudi Pro League will face the same.

Today there will be one match between Al-Khaleej vs Al-Taee. Here Al-Khaleej, who will be the host, still has to struggle to get away from the relegation zone immediately, they must win this match so that their position is safer in the standings. For Al-Taee, who lost to Damac FC in the previous match, now they will try to shift Damac FC's position to 7th place in the standings. I think the score will end with a narrow win for either of these two teams.
Al Kajeel can stay away from this zone if they can get a win, especially since they still have a game difference compared to Al Adalh who is below them, but what are their chances of winning this match? We know the Saudi Pro League is not a league with a balanced comparison between teams, the strong with lots of money can do more things to build a strong team but the weak will remain weak, big dominance in the league like this, so when there is a team that is under dealing with a team above the results are easy to predict.

Presence of Ronaldo have given big hype to the league. Based on the teamform rating Saudi Pro League is placed at the 6th position among the leagues played in Asia and 66th position on the world ranking. As mentioned even after 10 years it is really tough for the league to reach the ratings as EPL. In the upcoming years we can see good number of star players moving into the league, but that doesn't completely change the league.

no one cares about this league and cups of arabia, the focus is on soccer in europe, and that's sad but it's the truth, all players dream of playing in europe, being in the european champions league where the best of the best are playing

Dude, I believe that you are still stuck in the 20th century. Arabian leagues are some of the most popular in the world now. Saudi Professional League is now watched across the globe and the signing of Ronaldo by Al Nassr has further increased the popularity of the league. And in the next few years, the situation will change further. Saudi Arabian monarchy has big plans related to sports events and they are trying really hard to win the hosting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. And Ronaldo is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't be surprised if you see star players such as Kylian Mbappé and Neymar representing the SPL sides within the next few years.
@sithara007 truly you don't understand football, as of today Arabia league is only of the most talking about in the world. It has advanced beyond what you think. Their tv rights world over are increasing rapidly and players are considering playing their than Europe. I believe in the next transf window it will shock you to see how many big players they will sign into the league. Ronaldo effect had turned Arabia league to world class.

LOL.. you got it wrong. I was saying that the Saudi Professional League is now very popular across the globe. It was Slow death who tried to downplay the Arabian leagues. I still would not go to the extent to say that Saudi Professional League is the most popular football league in the world. But they do rank among the top-10 leagues. And it is not just the presence of Ronaldo. A number of quality overseas players are participating in this league and there are rumors that some of the big names in Europe and South America are considering moving to the SPL.

@Sithara007 while it’s definitely not the number one league, but due to the mere presence of Ronaldo it’s buzzing in the same wavelength as the premier league. Furthermore when more star player’s decide to join in the summer transfer window I feel that it’s popularity might become equal to or even more than the Premier League, and thus I won’t be surprised if many young player’s down the year’s prioritise joining it first over other leagues.
Before u start seeing Saudi Arbia professional league to be in the same height as EPL,  please know that Even when Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar,  iniesta, and so many other world class players were playing in Spanish la liga and German Bundesliga, EPL was still considered the best league.
epl isn't considered the best league because of the number of stars playing in it. Ratings like  goals per game, red cards per game, continental wins per season and other factors are also involved. I don't see Saudi Arabian league reaching EPL in this ratings, not even in the next 10 years.

I believe comparing these leagues are never been fair because we have right now many leagues and mostly are going with their own way and quality right now Asian leagues are weakest and need good time for having enough quality for comparing with other leagues it's never been easy dude.

Just few years but still here many leagues are doing amazing stuff which is good and positive development, but it's going to take nearly 25 to 30 years for having better things here if they will increase their fan base and other things which are helpful for the development of this game Ronaldo is first drop and many more are coming in few years because they can give them enough money which is surely not possible for the UEFA clubs with China, Japan and Australian leagues are also doing good so for me things are positive in this region, and we will have good results in long run.

A little offtopic, but I'm really interested in this question: do you really think that in the days of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla which dominated Europe and the fact that all the best players in terms of individual performance played in the La League, the Premier League was really better?  Roll Eyes

Probably the only measure the Premier League has been ahead of is commerce, but what does that have to do with sports? In addition, we know how many frauds and dirty schemes were used there.

I wouldn't say as much as premier league, that would be too much, but if we are talking about how much people talk about the leagues, even by looking at just bitcointalk, we could say that they are within the top 5 most talked leagues in the world.

Napoli made serie A talked a lot more, and PSG did that for Ligue 1, and we have Bayern vs Dortmund at bundesliga these days, so those three are fighting against Saudi arabia right now, but I would put La Liga and Premier league above any other league, not just about talent (which they are at the top) but also about the fact that they are still talked more than any other league in the world and viewed a lot more as well.

Another good win, can't say that it was too much Ronaldos achievement to win this game, this dude must be having some sort of psychological blockage, it looks like there is this auro of him always being unhappy and constantly getting bullied by fans everywhere he goes, and that makes him play even worse.

I thought that Al-Nassr would be different because he would be loved there but anytime he plays not at home, and even sometimes at home, people chant "Messi" which really upsets him beyond measure and he plays terribly. I think he was decent, not bad, he was quite decent in this game but he wasn't the superstar we know he used to be and can become again.

Well its normal when he isnt playing home that he would be treated badly. There are people who want to get in his head so that he plays bad. He usually turns it off in his head and plays at best possible level. Now he wasnt able to score again but his team won and that is what is important.

Ups and downs are commonplace for players. sometimes, the pressure comes from outside not from the team or the opponent. as a player who has high experience, things like that, should be paid with achievements. yes, Ronaldo has to prove that he is still able to give his best game for his team.

Al Nassr is his new home, he has to blend in and ignore the things that intimidate him. if not, it is very likely that it will affect its psychology, which will eventually experience a decrease in performance. I would say that's very natural, for his fans he will be adored, for those who don't like him he will be scorned.

After all, they are only one point away from the top of the standings, it is not impossible for them to take over. after all, there are still 10 games left until the end of the season. Ronaldo and his teammates still have a chance to win the Saudi pro league trophy. because in the remaining 10 games until the end of this season, anything can happen. in fact, it is possible that Al Ittihad could slip at any time in some of its matches. So, the competition for the Saudi Pro League trophy is still wide open.

Right now, we have mess-up here in Gulf which is surely having impact on their sports as well but for me Cristiano Ronaldo transfer is going to be big game changer for them because in near future we are going to have many other transfers like these which will increase quality and maturity as well which is good for these sports.

Arabs can invest huge funds and also can change things, but surely it's not going to happen in few years this all need long time which will help them with in few other Gulf countries soccer is having good quality and change which is good for them before Ronaldo we have few big names in this region like Barcelona current coach Xavi was also coach in Qatar club which is also good now Saudi Arab is also in process for having bid for the world cup host rights with few other countries if we have this it's going to be amazing stuff for this region and for the development of this game as well here.

I get that there has been some progress over the years and it is not as it used to be in the 1990s anymore. Still though the real deal takes place in Europe and that won't change ever. You have the audience from different nations in Europe who are willing to travel and follow their clubs even to games abroad in the Europa League and the Champions League. The only way up for Saudi Arabia is to invest billions and billions of dollars. But even then the goal to culturalize soccer won't be done in a decade or two. People aren't now watching Saudi Arabian soccer because they think that's the highest quality they can get. They now watch it in order to see whether Ronaldo can score hattricks.

If players want to play against the best of the best, going to Saudi Arabia early on in their career automatically destroys that dream.

I have no idea how all these associations look at each other, but the only way to make it a lot more attractive is if the Saudi Professional League can participate in a competition that works like the Champions League and does include European teams. We could then see what happens if Al Nassr finds themselves with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United in one group.

I think the fact that all eyes are on him is because of his behaviors in the past. He is a very polarizing character and it is part of his PR strategy. When he scores he wants to be called the greatest of all time and when he doesn't score everything else is to blame except for him.

when the person becomes greedy, the person becomes blind, and what is happening with ronaldo, he could have chosen to reduce his salary and accepted to play in a small team but that was in the main league and was from one of the main leagues like La Liga, Premier League, Ligue1 or Bundesliga. but as cristiando ronaldo always played for big teams in the best leagues and was the best player in those big leagues, he didn't accept relegating himself to playing in a small team, even here it can be something normal for someone who has already reached the top, so what should he do have done was to retire to maintain his good image. the guy is already very rich, what else does he want to prove to the world?

but instead of retiring he went to play in arabia where the quality of soccer is very low and even he plays with people who don't have much talent he can't play well, he can't score many goals, even to score 1 goal It's been difficult, he's gone to ruin, he's going to retire without glory and with his name being the subject of jokes, and that's what's going to happen, all because of greed. he could have stayed at manchester united, even if he was on the bench and entered sometimes he just needs to improve himself that he would have a place in the starting 11, but he went to complain about the team in public, humiliating the team. I believe that all big teams were scared of him after the interview he spoke badly about manchester united

I don't even know what to think about winning the King Cup of Champions. Why is it called that way? I get the King part because Saudi Arabia is reigned by a king, but it is a normal cup where everyone can participate. The Champions League is called that way because the best clubs of every league can participate. Anyway, even when Al Nassr wins it I doubt that that's something Ronaldo will be very proud of.

no one cares about this league and cups of arabia, the focus is on soccer in europe, and that's sad but it's the truth, all players dream of playing in europe, being in the european champions league where the best of the best are playing, see that even good leagues like the brazil leagues where there are good players, the good players in the brazil leagues dream of playing in europe. if we compare the brazil league with that of arabia, it will be the same as comparing a professional player (the one from brazil) against an amateur player (the one from arabia), in europe it is the same thing, the one from brazil is still amateur compared to that of Europe. so ronaldo even earning a lot of money is playing soccer at an amateur level

An interesting fact from the Saudi Arabian King's Cup is that in the semi-finals it was controlled by 3 teams who were also in the top 4, only Al Wahda was outside the top 10, Ittihad would relatively face a tougher opponent than Al Nassr who would face Al Wahda, the prediction in the final was Ittihad vs. Al Nassr but surely Al Nassr hope to be able to face Al Hilal instead of Ittihad who just beat them in the league.

Al Nassr this Sunday will face the team they have beaten in the King's Cup, so they will have the opportunity to repeat their success by beating their opponent to secure 3 points and keep the point difference small so that the opportunity to win the league remains open for them, because if it fails in the league it will be a little bad for Ronaldo.

This is a fact that has already passed, because after losing the lead to Al-Ittihad just last week, Al-Nassr recovered and advanced to the semifinals, beating Abha by 3-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo's team managed to win the match without major problems, it was a quiet victory, but unfortunately it was another goalless game for Cristiano Ronaldo who could not hide his frustration on the field.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his side Al-Nassr have bounced back to winning ways and secured their spot in the semi-finals of the King Cup of Champions. Although it's disappointing that Ronaldo didn't manage to score in the game, but why must he always be on the score sheet?

I really cheered for him to score that goal at the end of the 1st half with that majestic counterattack, I'm almost sure the goal would come out, but NOBODY expected that the game referee would end the first half right at that moment.

The referee was very mean in his performance against Critiano, instead of kicking the ball to the stands, he should have kicked it at the game referee... just kidding, if he did that this the card would certainly been a different color.
Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't able to contribute much during the 90 minutes. So, how could you have cheered for him to score from that counterattack? Yes, The team was counter attack but you can't say they had a clear run on goal. So, it's understandable to feel frustrated. But, it's important to remember that the first half ends when it's supposed to end. It would be pointless to feel shock as referee calling the final whistle.

I think the fact that all eyes are on him is because of his behaviors in the past. He is a very polarizing character and it is part of his PR strategy. When he scores he wants to be called the greatest of all time and when he doesn't score everything else is to blame except for him.

I get the King part because Saudi Arabia is reigned by a king, but it is a normal cup where everyone can participate. The Champions League is called that way because the best clubs of every league can participate. Anyway, even when Al Nassr wins it I doubt that that's something Ronaldo will be very proud of.
