I sent coins from bittrex to polo over 1hr ago and still not arrived, I look up txid and found nothing on xplorer, what's the problem?

Just to verify, I've sent coins today without any problems. Just sent another and it instantly appeared on the blockchain. From exchange to exchange.

It seems like they want to pump SDC, but there aren't enough coins for whales to feel safe. Don't know if such a big percentage staking working right now or not.

Contact polo support - verify that transaction went OK.
Contact Bittrex support and ask why balance is not credited.

We can't help, exchanges have to do that..

No worries. That's perfect. I'll look to add connectivity for the ones that I'll likely set-up. Its always best to set-up a bunch of nodes at the same time as it obviously make it more difficult for any observers to try and figure out which service is which.  Wink

Another weekend project for me then !   Cool

I suggest that for the moment you run the wallet with the following parameter added to your shadowcoin.conf (only for servers and daemons)

Code:
nosmsg=1

We're working the stability of our secure messaging code  Grin
Send me a private message when they are up!

Shall do. Should be within the week or so for public posting, after some dev. testing etc.,

SDC / Tor users might also appreciate my ramblings here ; https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16104604

Cheers!

Hi BitcoinFX,

We sure appreciate Tor nodes bridging the clearnet to the hidden net!
We have a few of our own actually, we should probably update the docs to include them, thanks for the notice.

Code:
addnode=shadow2b3ozvqmhm.onion
addnode=shadow3kdzs7v6is.onion
addnode=shadow5ea566kf2j.onion

You're always free to host your own, if you need funds to do so then the only option is to openly request it here with a BTC/SDC donation address attached to it.
I can't however guarantee any monetary reward for running the nodes, I'm sorry  Undecided

I have been following the posts in the NAV thread with regards to their use of parts of the SDC code base.

I've implemented optional addnode=.onion daemon connectivity for Navcoin and would likely easily be able to add some nodes on the same and/or new servers for SDC.

Does SDC have any existing / dedicated Tor nodes already ? Would the community / devs. consider any bounties to assist with server set-up / help with running costs etc.,

There are already numerous Shadow .onion nodes ....
Can you explain more about what "implemented optional addnode=.onion daemon connectivity" refers to because Onion support is already available in the Shadow codebase.
If you wish you can PM me. Thanks.

Sure. Are their any 'public' addnode=.onion or hidden_service seed nodes for SDC. I realize that the Shadow code base supports Tor ofc.

Here is the post regarding the public NAV nodes that I'm running ;

- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15855117

Here is the post with regards to 4 of those nodes also being full Tor Relays ;

- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15857415

I'm effectively offering to set-up a similar set of nodes for Shadow, as well as trying to ascertain if any other public addnode=.onion's exist ?

I checked your documentation at https://doc.shadowproject.io/#tor and did not find any listed nodes. Checking if you have .onion seed nodes in the code base next, whilst trawling through this thread.

Moving forward, Tor connectivity is remaining 'optional' in SDC, right ?

Never compromise your standards!

To clarify- the stake reward is always the same, about 0.268 SDC now. The larger your staking balance, the more often you will get that reward. If you have 1 SDC it will take on average about 3 years to get a reward. If you have 20K SDC it will take a couple of hours.

New SDC holders, please keep your coins safe, coin thefts hurt the reputation of the coin and of crypto in general-

Use only the wallet provided by the official site in the the first post of this topic, don't trust anything else.

Be aware of what is running on the machine where your wallet is running- don't use your porn machine or anything crazy like that. Dedicated machine is good, tor is good, locked down encrypted disk, back up your wallet to stick and/or CD and lock it away, you know the drill.

Don't leave coins on exchanges, they get robbed, same story every time.

Definitely good info. I might add that any time the price of a coin starts going up rapidly, so does the number of lowlifes trying to steal them.
Be careful what you download to any machine that has a wallet, and always make sure your wallet is encrypted.

Nearly 50% of wallets are staking, up from 30% last week. That's an impressive number for PoS.

It's nice getting those coins off the centralized exchanges and working for the people.
