It seems that there are hardly any articles by long-term hodlers, unfortunately.

Maybe because these people want to be anonymous considering that they own significant amounts of BTC - and why do you think that someone would want to be a walking target considering that it has already happened several times that some people have been kidnapped or robbed in their homes because they are too much talked about things that should have been private?

I would like to read or listen to long-term Bitcoin hodlers. Can I ask you to recommend them and their content, please?

What do you want from them, there are many holders that prefer to be anonymous, and there are hodlers that will not say that they have a huge stock of Bitcoin in their wallet, you just post your question here, and if you want an article Google the content that you want using a keyword, we are living in an anonymous environment I doubt someone will post here posting their stock of Bitcoin and they years they are holding just to prove that they are long term Hodlers they might even deny if people refer or they will just ignore for security reason.

I think he admitted he had failed to hodl initially. I haven't seen much about hodling from him, anyway.
You are correct. Andreas Antonopoulos has admitted that he sold some of his Bitcoin in the early days when the price was very low. He has said that he regrets doing this and that he now believes in the long-term potential of Bitcoin.

Quote
"I sold some Bitcoin in the early days, when the price was very low. I regret doing this, and I now believe in the long-term potential of Bitcoin. I am a hodler now, and I believe that Bitcoin is the future of money."

Saylor is not long-term Bitcoin hodlers as he entered just a few years ago if I am not mistaken.
Yes, he was an active advocate for Bitcoin, but his specific entry point and holding period might not qualify him as a long-term hodler.

Probably just some long-term holders of Bitcoins try to be anonymous as well, supporting the idea of Bitcoin.
Statistics say that long-term holders own 75% of all bitcoins in circulation. Of course, this data was collected from those who have been the holder for at least 155 days, which means that many members of the forum are also included in this data. But I don't think these people are going to tell you how much and how long they hold bitcoins. Smiley

Shill. Discredit.

The other suggestions seem hits. Thanks.

More suggestions, including articles, talks etc. are welcome. I am interested in thoughts, ideas, findings, conclusions and not identities.

Satoshi Nakamoto is the person you are looking for but he's not gonna come out to say a word.

Straight up and if there were ways to meet him, I'm sure there wouldn't be any room for you as the qeue would have been long to eternity 🤣

I have many articles and videos in my Bitcoin archive for inspiration and motivation, but none can wholly satisfy your request after going through them.

I'm not sure if he wants only articles 🤔  because from his writing,  it seems he wants the authors first because even their articles.

Those with the hugest Bitcoin and longest-term hodlers prefer to keep it anonymous

Exactly and I'm sure this is die to the fact that bitcoin  and cryptocurrency  in general  isn't accepted globally  and in most countries  and not many veteran holders would  want to risk their identities talking  to you and even if they do @op, then it wouldn't be for free

Advice: Close your eyes and buy as many as you can afford, you are never gonna regret it over the years.
Hardest truth you ever told op and I can relate to this when I was starting the journey especially  as someone  battling to make ends meet and all my mentor could tell me was to buy and hold,
Mehh I felt really bad then but I knew my emotions was of no value since I knew that was the simple logic but th problem was that I didn't have the money and I was hoping to get involved with cryptocurrencies  for it to safe my financial life but it seems I have to rather invest  than receive  immediately.

Op just buy and hold if you have the money and smile soon.

Would be hrd to get in touch with those who have held for that long. Also, what's the point of doing so? If they tell you to buy at this point would you do it? Ofcourse they's be positive towards this industry in general simply because they are having huge profit already. But this is not to limit you at the present. You may invest at this point and earn profit in the future. However if you desire having the same profit as them, then that would be impossible unless you are okay with putting huge amount in this blockchain to be held for years as well. You may read articles of people who are having Bitcoin holdings, surfacing the web.

Bottomline here is what would you do after seeing some? Would it be enough to convince you to do it as well even if no one has the assurance that its market price will continue increasing for the next decade?

From your list, I thought of Cypherpunks.

Long term BTC holder is a different term from long term forum member, we can post profiles of members that have been in the forum for a very long time, but we can't know who is a long term BTC holder, unless the person identifies as such.

A long term BTC holder is someone that has been holding BTC for a very long time, so take note that a member may have been in the forum for many years, but they have not been holding BTC all these years.

@OgNasty is one the user here in the forum that is a forum member since 2011 and active until now with donator status. He is one of the real OG here and I remember that he serves as forum treasurer before. Forum staff and moderators like gmaxwell are also your best source of this info but I doubt that they will spend time here to give testimony.

You can manually check those old conversations by going on the board that you like here and start browsing threads from the last page.

That should not be a problem OP. I believe you have been here for a long time and you know how things function here. For a record, I think since this board is a discussion board, I think this should be the right place for such as you would likely get them here.

This particular board  has a  outstanding  records of long term post which we are  very much aware of. Possibly, since you requested for an old article and old member. This is simple. Go back to the page 1 of this thread board to do your research there you could find old members, memories and articles of the past ten decade to read otherwise you wouldn't be able to get it. I think this opinion can guide you through to seeing what you want.

If there is something that I would recommend to you as a beginner, specially those long term holders or early adopters, here is the thread, Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion. Just remember though that they have their own "culture" inside that thread.  Wink

One classic long term holder is Elwar. Who is only the pioneer of Seasteading way back in 2017. However, he encountered a lot of problems with the government of Thailand.

Find them and their stories in [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members.

One of very oldest members of forum but unfortunately, BitcoinFX was inactive since January. It's very strange because he was actively in forum since 2017 when I joined Bitcointalk.

Two members celebrated their 10 years recently
