oh! i stand corrected. was quoting casascius, he took 40 "all silver" away from the batch to sell in time for holidays and the rest would get the b gold plated if he provided those figures for the site then those are correct

Looks like it was a 50/50 split, or very close to. What you do notice, is the demand for the intended 2013 10btc Silver coin to be released, which of course didn't happen.
This may answer why these attract such a premium, in addition to it becoming Mikes 'signature' choice.
Someone should just send Mike that link and have him verify the numbers. I am sure he wouldn't mind it...he has to be proud of what he created.
