I have much confidence in the solarflarecoin. I hope and expect that it will be a success. I have already bought a ticket to the moon trip.

I expect soon to buy a second ticket ....

I prefer to travel together...

I don't like to travel alone, I too have a ticket to the moon.

@SFC , That is perfectly fine, sometimes there is a delay on success  Wink. Important is, there is a progress on the project it is what matters most. I will still gonna hold onto my coins and see what would happen on the next fewdays, months or years. Good luck!

Just to show that we always works on something, also if there's silence, here's the link to the Official Solarflarecoin Mining Pool.
Thanks to Lombaqe, he worked really hard to make this happen.

Point your mining rigs to our Official Mining Pool, drop your hashing power on the network helping other miners to find SFC blocks and get your reward, according to our increasing double reward system.

As i said, fair play to Lombaqe for his hard works on this, if any of you want to contribute to the project or have any suggestion, that's the right place guys!

i should of ask first here if it was safe to deposit at cryptopia but its too late hopefully it goes through with no problems.  so is it safe to deposit there?  thanks

Sorry for delay on reply. there's no problems or issue on sending/receiving coins from/to Cryptopia. All troubles was related with the attack of last week, that now looks to be resolved.

Glad to see that SFC is back on cryptopia. Bought more coins to put on my bag  Grin. Anyway, by looking on the roadmap/plan , march is the month for campaigns. Would that include facebook & twitter campaigns?

Unfortunately during last 10 days we was really concerned about the future of the coin, the whole project was put in discussion by several problems:
first the difficulty that retargeted very slowly causing blocks of the network and transactions stuck on the blockchain. While working on this, we had a sever attack to the blockchain.
When finally both problems where solved, Cryptopia decided to close the market for more than 3 days, freezing funds of lots of users, locking deposit and withdraw without any further notice.
Thats caused a fall on interest of the coin, miners stopped or paused to mine the coin, volume crashed to zero...and everything happened just on the moment when the interest of coin started to rise up again with a price stable daily increase.
After that, was impossible for me and who is helping me on that project to also think what to implement new, what to develop first, which exchange contact to add us...then also plaina signature campaign for a coin completely freezed was not easy as the whole project was put in discussion.
Now we only hope that this project will not be called again to face some other problems.

Yes it great to see the market open on cryptopia.co.nz again.

SFC did receive some buy volume on coin exchange.io during this temporary market halt, mining still continued. The mining community experience growth with new people joining the pools. With the migration for cryptopia.co.nz and SFC forking the coin has shown promise and has remained steady.

There are exciting discussions on Slack (PM SolarFlareProject with your e-mail to join) about the future of SFC and and how to develop and improve the coin. The dev and other members or the team are active in technical discussions. We have great people who have come to our aid and offered help and are very very knowledgable and experienced with crypto. They helped secure SFC to prevent certain attacks.

We have discussions about different markets in different countries. An example is that members discuss what needs to be done before entering the Chinese market. How to protect the coin, a future plan. Talking to members. Ideas are constantly being shared and would like to welcome new ideas.

You do not have to be technical to offer an idea. Slack members are always communicating and are active in solving issues and progressing forward. It is often within the Slack environment where you will hear communication first then very quickly followed by other social media. This is only natural because you can hold discussions at Slack. The dev will always post here on Bitcointalk.

If you know nothing about crypto or have an issue with mining or just want to say hi, please do. Not all chats are technical or even about code.

The Dev was not aware of why cryptopia's market was frozen and not until he was told by members. There was no communication with cryptopia anywhere, even via e-mail or txt. The moment there was no contact with SolarFlareProject, he asked the community (via Slack) to help get in contact. Different members posted their replies from them and SolarFlareProject was able to get in direct contact with cryptopia. There was alot of work behind the scene's.

There are a couple of exciting projects are yet to be announced. SolarFlareProject will do this in time but these are active projects. Now the issues are behind us we can concentrate more on these projects and discussing ideas.

the chain and coin are fine,
it is only cryptopia that are having problems.

it has nothing to do with the SFC team,
and is up to cryptopia to work out when and how they will deal with any issues.

SFC is by nature a de-centralised currency (although like many coins, attached to a development team),
but
by using Cryptopia (or other exchanges) you are operating within a centralised system,
by using Cryptopia you are subject to their conditions, and you do not have sole right to what you might consider as your property.

thems the breaks.

its hard of me to believe that its taking this long to solve this problem.  im no programmer or expert on the matter but man the wait is long and makes me wonder if its worth mining.  getting closer to solving it dev?

if you're referring to the issue on cryptopia being frozen when you ask to get solved,then..

I (as it has stated multiple times before by story and solar for example) would like to highlight the fact that dev has offered his help to cryptopia team to assist in solving the issues they have without getting response, he and story has both contacted cryptopia several times asking some timeline on when the problem is solved and cryptopia has just 2 days ago responded to story777 (read posts before). this is out of our hands since cryptopia hasn't responded on help offers on our dev side.

if you were referring in some other problem, then could you remind me of it?

can you update us dev on the situation. thanks

Hi everyone, yes there is an update. Cryptopia.co.nz are currently undergoing migration hence the delay in answering SFC support tickets. They are sorry for the delay and are working quickly so they can concentrate of getting SFC back to trading.

At no point was there any discussion that there was an issue with the blockchain or the like. We however know that when we forked SFC some people did have issues and this seems but is unrelated to cryptopia.co.nz. It is the migration of their system that is the priority for them. They have promised to get us up and trading as soon as they can. The majority of wallets on cryptopia.co.nz are in maintenance mode, not just SFC.

The timeframe suggested is maybe a couple of days...could be sooner (i hope).

I am part of the community for SFC, not the DEV. Any direct questions to SolareflareProject (Dev) or Lombaqe.

This is good news guys...hang in there.

we are hanging in there.  but dev needs to here to tell us any update.  thanks

Unfortunately I can't spend my whole day sitting in front of PC or writing on the forum but be sure that my updates aren't different than updates that Story777 gave publicly here (otherwise I feel the need to correct him or add something) That guy (like Bumba, like Lombaqe and some others) spoke cause authorized by me, as I'm out of office for some days... Story777 is caring to check cryptopia questions, as other guys have other tasks. I feel very lucky as with those guys we are building a strong team where each one have a task...So please if someone of the guy give you updates, didnt means that I'm disappeared but that I cannot write here for any other reasons Wink

Despite support ticket open with cryptopia from 2 days now, despite coinexchange never had needs to close market (that's means any issues by their side), despite pools are up and running and no problems was reported in the blockchain, cryptopia still have the market closed for investigate about that issues. At this point we haven't that situation under our control and we can't do nothing to revert their decision of keep market still closed and funds locked on here. We vloffered them all our help to collaborate because this situation is clearly damaging the coin and investors. We hope to give you good news soon.
