While we are at that trying to share the most trusted VPN friendly cryptocurrency casinos, we have to make out time to point out some other vital factors that could contribute and necessitate some crypto casinos not to publicly make their acceptances of VPN usage public, and such Factor include but not limited to the tendency of abuser's trying to exploit that window, such abuser's are those who may have been previously banned from that casino for illegal dealing and also abuse on the casino bonuses system a d are previously caught a long the line, this is what may have made them to not allow such a public notice about their stands on VPN usage on their platforms although the may not react if someone use VPN to access their casinos but who ever uses VPN will be viewed as a suspect and the account been put under close watch to monitor the activities that will be going on in such an account, and if anything negative is detected, the account get straight flag and banned at that point the player bear all the risks of losing his or her deposits in such an account.
That is the reason we have always stated clearly that, when it comes to online cryptocurrency casinos, avoiding VPN is key to staying safe and protecting your money on such a casino, and if you must use VPN, then you should be ready to come out clean and never allowed any form of shady activities on your account if not you lose all that you have in the account, and with no hope of recovery since VPN usage is already involved and your original location is hiden.

As far as I know Nord VPN offers a lot of servers and is considered as the VPN service that offers the most variety of servers but I think if you are more concerned about privacy and security then I think Mullvad VPN is a better choice with open source.
https://www.privacyguides.org/en/vpn/#mullvad

Mullvad VPN may be a good choice and the good thing about it is usually fixed price of 5 pounds even if you buy for a single month or for a decade  Smiley
Yes it's cheap but there are other VPNs like express VPN that give you good discounts if you buy their yearly subscriptions etc but still, they cost you more than 5$ a month. However, I just wonder why they aren't as popular as Nord or Express VPN? Do they (express/nord) offer extra services etc  Huh

I am not talking about price because it depends on each person's finances, I would like to recommend Mullvad VPN because it is open source software, a product that focuses on protecting user privacy. Both their products, browser and the VPN, focus on user privacy and I think that's what most crypto investors care about.

I used to use Express VPN, I really liked it but lately I tend to use open source apps/software so I stopped using them. As far as I know they are more famous because they are big companies and they spend a lot of money on advertising so they are known by many people. Like we have a lot of great open source privacy browsers and password storage apps but most people just use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge or Safari. Or Linux is a better operating system than Windows but most of us just use Windows. Very few users care about privacy and open source...most just care about convenience and that's why they choose more popular products.

Well, I’m using the free version - since I only get to use it during this period when I’m unable to access anything which doesn’t happen frequently I just didn’t think it was worth paying for any vpn. I have used only two different VPNs and both of them were free and they both showed slow network connection.
I've started reading your post from the former one, no wonder your internet speed becomes slow when you connect to the VPN. Well, this should not deter you or force you to pay for it or not use a VPN again, you should look for a better one, there are many of them that will give you a free pass and will still not slow down your internet speed. Some will even give you options to indicate that some IPs might be slow and others will be fast and will also show their speed strength for you to know the best one to choose. Proton VPN is one of them but note that nothing is better compared to a paid VPN.
Most VPNs will slow down our internet speeds because that's how it works and the price we pay for privacy and security. I see some people say that using VPN can improve internet speed but I don't think that's true and in my experience most of the time using VPN makes my internet slower.
I disagree! Even if VPNs cannot improve our internet speed, it is not all of them that will slow it down and I have used countless of them to personally experience it. I noticed that the VPN provider matters and so does the subscription you opt for, but generally, I've been browsing normally with no visible difference in my internet speed with an average VPN used.

See a quote from Cloudflare:
Quote
Can a VPN improve Internet speed? Under specific circumstances, VPNs can increase speeds for certain services. ISPs sometimes throttle, or artificially slow down, specific types of traffic; for example, several major ISPs have throttled streaming entertainment services like Netflix.

The above quote is enough to argue against your claim, though I am not a tech guy, its constructive stance is valid.

You get a discount as well if you pay with crypto  Cheesy

One of the reasons is because mullvad doesn't do aggressive marketing like nord and express VPNs. TBH, I've seen these two vpn providers everywhere lol. For instance, I would see them sponsoring the most random video on yt lol-- I do not mean buying ad space on yt.com but sponsoring a youtuber's video.

Mullvad doesn't do paid reviews, KOLs and affiliates. It's a part of their business ethics which I have big respect for. This may be anecdotal but, I wasn't aware mullvad existed until someone in the forum mentioned it.

I do think differences in features does play a part as well. For instance, mullvad doesn't offer dedicated IPs like nord.

Why do the vast majority of users prefer to use what is most popular and easy to use (even though it isn't in most cases).

This comes down to the same logic as asking: why isn't Linux as popular as Windows because it is open source and more secure?

Why isn't Bitcoin as widely used as central bank currencies, even though it is completely free money?

I chosed NordVPN because it had a very interesting discount, I think it was 70%, so I took advantage of the 2-year package promotion.

I see some people say that using VPN can improve internet speed but I don't think that's true and in my experience most of the time using VPN makes my internet slower.
I think you may feel an improvement if your ISP uses a terrible DNS by default, or the websites you accessed have something against IPs from your nation, etc. But yeah in general the trade-off is speed, which shouldn't be that high if you use a decent VPN. At least that's how it is based on my experience, including accessing casino websites.

But I don't think they offer free service?
They do but they lack a lot of features[1]. It's probably worth as a trial to see if paying is worth it or not though, although you can't really tell if using different servers will affect your speed or not afaik.

I don't really notice but most of the time I feel my internet speed is slower whenever I use VPN.

I downloaded and installed proton VPN to try it out. They offer free plan for all users but there are too many limitations, they just let me connect to 1 random server, I can't choose the server I like. This is quite inconvenient for any user, even regular users, as there are too many limitations compared to other free VPNs. But I think using proton service is safer than other completely free VPNs.

Hope it works for you. I wonder if you're using a terrible VPN provider though.
This is also my concern, I think free VPNs are not safe and secure, and that is also why I don't use free VPNs.

Like if I should connect my VPN I won’t be able to do so many things because of the slow network speed but if I wait for everything to load it will work but it doesn’t really come up with the speed it usually does when I’m not connected to the VPN.
Hope it works for you. I wonder if you're using a terrible VPN provider though. Based on my experience any decent paid VPN doesn't slow down your speed that much. Have you tried different VPN providers or switched server locations? Things will be different if you're using a free service since most of the time they don't allocate enough resources for you, hence the limited speed/quota.
Free VPNs, besides having almost no security, are dangerous. I wouldn't use them, and they also slow down your connection a lot. We know that paid VPNs also compromise speed a bit, but when I'm using my NordVPN, I don't even notice the difference.

I've logged into some of my casino accounts with the VPN turned on because I forgot, but I wasn't prevented from using the site when I was accessing it.

And as I said before, the issue I am facing can be solved through several ways so if I should pay for vpn and still go with the other ways (which are more convenient) do you think that’s wise?
Probably not, especially if DNS is the culprit for your slow connection. But you can always do a trial and request a refund if it doesn't satisfy you. CMIIW.

Tor is not a good VPN for me and I've been having consistent small Internet anytime I tried using it. Tor has been knows and a reliable free VPN app to use but I don't think it works for everybody.  Orbot has been a good VPN
Although both tor and VPNs are used mainly for the same reason which is improving user’s privacy, they are not the same. Tor is not a VPN, so it’s inappropriate to compare it with Orbot or any other VPN.
However, accessing websites using tor browser is usually slower compared to accessing them via a VPN especially if it’s a paid one.
For better privacy and if latency isn’t a big concern for you, you can use tor over VPN.

In this time and age that people are usually in a haste to get things done really fast to enable them move on to the next one, I highly doubt any one will be comfortable using Tor as a browser specially the mobile version, since this seems to be way more slower than the desktop version of the app.

Orbot, on the other hand is a VPN app that is developed by the same developers of Tor, and they both works flawlessly together, I personally I have tried the combination of this two and it did provide a top notch security and privacy, but then, speed was a big issue, at the end of the day, I ended up frustrated and had to delete Tor first, and later on deleted Orbot when the VPN made my internet so slow to the extent that sometimes, I will be getting a connection error.

In conclusion, if speed is one's priority in using VPN, then orbot is definitely not worth a try at all, it's the best VPN app, but still, the worst when it comes to speed.

@Cantsay, I think spending money on a VPN is worth it and not as pointless as you think.

It is if you’re the type that makes use of vpn often - but for someone who only use it once in a week or once in two weeks I don’t think paying for premium plan is an ideal thing to do.

Are you sure orbot doesn’t slow down the network? I know I have downloaded it on my device when I wanted to access tor on mobile phone but I didn’t use it for VPN purposes though.

Edit:

Yeah, the tor network isn't known for fast speeds-- orbot utilize our phone's vpn function and routes our traffic to tor network. You're also more likely to encounter captchas while in tor though it offers much better privacy than regular VPNs as a tradeoff.

If you want the best speed while masking your IP, paid VPN is the way to go-- from a reputed provider. But if you don't have much use case for VPNs, I'm not sure it's a worth enough purchase for ya.

Maybe so users might find Tor as a good and fast VPN but I think this is mostly based on the region. There are some regions that tends to have slow VPN internet connection even though they are using 5G network at high speed.

I've known orbot since several years ago, and must say I like it's features of being able to assign or assign VPN to a particular app on your mobile phone, while the rest of the apps utilize the normal network IP from ones local ISP.

But then, it's slow, and when I say slow, i mean super super slow, I've been using orbot for years but of recent, I had to delete it and look for a better alternative that could give a better browsing speed, after trying alot of free VPN apps, I had to finally settle with my inbuilt Samsung Max VPN and privacy app.

Somebody like myself don't need a paid VPN since some of this VPN providers charge a huge monthly subscription fee, and what I use VPN for is very minor, buying a VPN subscription will be a waste of money.

That's not surprising then. As mentioned above, free VPNs are slow most of the time. I think buying a paid VPN is worth it, whether you need it for casinos or not. I bought Mullvad for months now and it's quite cheap at 4.5 Euro if you paid with Bitcoin. It doesn't slow down my internet connection at all and there are dozens of servers that you can choose if you think the speed is slow. Not to mention you can ask for a refund if you're not satisfied with it. I think most good VPNs do that nowadays so there's no need to buy the long-term plan to try the service.

There ar so many free VPN you can use to get things done on any site that needed the use to prevent your IP address from getting leaked to the casino you are trying to use. Using paid VPN can be good and serves well but I know if some good one like Orbot and the rest that has good connections and do not slow down your Internet connectivity. For those that are gambling on restricted regional casinos, it is good we use string VPN so our IP address does not get leaked to the casino team or support.
