short term trading or investment actually day trading depends on markets caps price. when price is high then day trading is appropriate. but now price is very low then bounty campaign is very appropriate.
You can do both IMO, bounty campaigns are "light weight" and generally don't take much of your time (depending on the task you are enrolled in). While you are doing those tasks, you can day trade your investment.
You can participate in the bounty without investment. If you mean investing in ICO, then I think that it is better for you to choose day trading.
