BTC if you must. It's much more stable than most coins and at current time is lowest for the last couple of years. This is the right moment to jump into the metro to moon. Litecoin on the other hand has unpredictable future ahead as of it's founder selling of most of his stakes.
I select BTC !. The prospect is very clear and still can be used as a mainstay in investing especially long-term investment.
Why not a short-term investment? ...
Yes of course, perhaps we already know the market correction is still going on, it has seemed ineffective if short-term investment made as an option and I'm very pessimistic your investment will be successful.

Ok go all of your funds to Bitcoin, it is the one that started it all and all the news are on Bitcoin if Bitcoin falls all altcoins follow and of course Litecoin is a clone of Bitcoin and the original and the one that started it all it has no replacement until now.

Go for Bitcoin. Litecoin is one of the oldest crypto-currencies, and technology-wise it is not much different from Bitcoin. On top of that, at the current rates Litecoin looks quite over-priced, at least when compared to the other alts such as Monero and NEO.
Are those the only coins on your to buy list, let me add to your options 'Twist' you can do a little research on that. But if my options are limited to only those two, I will stick with Bitcoin as it is presently the most trusted cryptocurrency.
Probably both, because if the btc price goes up. then the altcoin price will go down.
or you can buy bitcoin first, if bitcoin has climbed at its peak, you can buy litcoin.
my bet is for bitcoin. for as long as you are a good trader and always monitor the market trend i think you wont loss. BTC now has the most oppurtunity to earn big profit. given the volatility of the price i think if you are a good rider then you could double or even triple your money in just one day.

BTC without a doubt, it's because BTC have brighter future than LTC, i don't think that LTC will beat BTC in the near FUture, BTC will keepand maintain its position at the top for a long time, BTC is the mother of all altcoins, so buy BTC

I think it all depends on you. You may decide to go for Bitcoin if you have enough cash to invest. But I would recommend you to go for bitcoin cause of its high price. Bitcoin is still the King of cryptocurrency.
I would recommend buying BTC because its safety is much higher, profit is also equivalent to LTC

i would recommend you to invest in Bitcoin
because bitcoin is gold in cryptocurrency, and a lot of people believe with bitcoin not litecoin
Its depended by your investment if you have good money then better to buy BTC, because you know the ruler of Crypto market is BTC and other coins price graph also depended by BTC hence if you much money then invest in BTC
