Buying any coin with all your money is always very risky. You maximize the potential income of course the risk is maximized, too as a trade-off. Anyway, buying ETH with its current price seems logical, but not with all your money.

In my opinion, you shouldn't put all of your money into only one coins. There are other good coins you can invest too. You can buy Ethereum with the 50 percent of your money, with tihe rest of the 50 percent you can buy other coins such as Neo, Litecoin, Cardano, and Ripple.
Ethereum will be definetely $1k but you should diversify to at least 3-4 coins. There are such good coins in the market

To buy for all money one coin is not reasonable. It is better to divide into 10-15 promising coins, then it is more likely to earn good money
Buy some now and cost average either direction meaning if it goes up continue to buy and you will continue to be in the green and if it goes down you will buy more cheap ETH and it is certain to go up in a few months.

I don't suggest you to put all money in one altcoin. You can put 25% each in three altcoins and bitcoin. You can select your five favorite coins from top ten list of coinmarketcap because those coins are already well established in this market.
