Market conditions have not been stable and are still very low. So, if you invest in ICO, I think it's still risky. It's better to buy coins that are already established like the 10 best coins. And investment, in my opinion, is very wise because this coin is more established and for long-term investment is also very good.
Certainly investing in an ICO is a very wise decision. However, you also need to be more selective in choosing ICO. You have to spend time doing research on the ICO project. So you don't get caught up in ICO fraud.
Most ICOs have not fared well at all in the last year. They have declined a lot alongwith the existing coins so investing in those remains high risk. It may be better to buy well-established projects that are on a big sale and near major price bottoms currently. Once market becomes really bullish, then ICOs will become profitable to invest again.
Don't invest in ICO's at this moment because it will definitely gives the last onely the situation happened here is not good for the investment of ICO's trust that Crypto investment it will be the right idea for me and it will helpful for me to do get better profits

I would also for a start suggest investing in Bitcoin right now. Maybe 45% of your 1.000 usd should go there. The other 55% i would distribute between ethereum, ripple and some other altcoins. Before all that though, do a research on the coins, the market, the cycles and dont make quick desicions.
If you are willing to buy some altcoins it's up to you to hold then and wait until it will increase in months or years because it's hard to predict those price right now but for sure we have a those altcoins that have an future.

new tokens always surprise. but it depends on our ability to choose investment. most people now have silence and see the market rather than investing. although the price is cheap but it is not enough to attract investment. Another way to have passive profits, investing with ico's is tough call as there's a lots of incidents that this type of investment failed their investors,if you have other choice / options better to think wiser, if you can generate income with trading existing coins or mining those new profitable coins
