I will never advise a fellow to buy ICOs again. ICOs have failed and for that matter do not need any attention in the crypto world. I think the subject of ICOs is just a bubble and it has burst so no one should go in again. Almost 90% of all coins that were issued in 2017 are dead now. How can ICOs gain our trust again?

By the time this topic was created and later, I had not yet noticed any improvements for ICO. After listing the token, as a rule, the price is significantly reduced. For a long time, there have been no projects that could hit a hard cap or so. Many projects are still delaying the distribution of assets.
It's not the time of buy.

if your project will go LIVE in bullrun period, you will got big bennefits, but now is bad situation for invest.
its risk, but No risk = No bennefits.

i am with YOU !
Of course, you can say in other words, when the one who does not risk, he does not drink champagne. But first and foremost, your success depends on your attentiveness and experience. You can analyze the market of ico companies and find more promising projects of social relevance in society.

As a trader, I would say yes but as a concerned friend I would say no. I have witnessed a lot of ICOs that has launched in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2018 that suffered a massive loss and they did not even reach their ICO selling price. You better wait for at least a great recovery from the market  and it would be fine to do that if btc is back again at $12k-$15k.
You have to remember what results the company’s ico market brought in 2016, when the prices for Bitcoin were $ 500 and the ethereum was about $ 5 or $ 4. Then the projects collected a lot of investment and were successful.

i think this may be a good time to invest in an ICO when the market is still low, but the number of ICOs recently are not much and their quality are so bad that make me think again before investing. the better way is to find a really really good ICO rather than a normal one.

Don't make it, man! Why don't you purchase good coins with ready product? Is it that hard?
I don't think so, it is something you must avoid before you have good portfolio of different coins.
nowadays, ico has lost a lot of trust from the community. so many projecks are dead and it's also unclear the steps ahead make a lot of people stop buying in ico

Should not. How do you judge the new wave of ICO? I don't think the cryptocurrency market will be excellent in 2019. And ICO still has a lot of scams. Investing in ICO is worthless. Maybe you should wait patiently for two years.

There seems to be a new wave of ICOs coming up again. The crypto market also appears to be getting ready for a bull run.
I am wondering if buying some decent ICOs will be wise at this point.
Will be glad if those who are knowledgeable of past market cycles can advice me on this.

I appreciate all reasoned contributions

The key point for me is always the question: will this ICO hit hardcap? If it doesn't then there is more supply than demand, and prices will fall once it hits the exchanges.

I don't advise to go through with ICOs for this year but I think there will be another way of investing through STOs. I'm still not sure on how it will be implemented, I'm waiting for the announcement on news on the following days.

Buy from an exchange after they've fallen 90%.. there are lot of interesting projects sold at bargain prices. Not saying they can't go down more though but this game is not without it's risks.
90% reduction is really too much, maybe we should think again when buying it because if the price falls too much compared to the ICO price, the project is not good enough and may be scam in the future.

Nice topic, but honestly I don't think the market have recovered. As for ICO's, I don't think now is the right time. You can channel your freetime to performing research on promising projects which are still standing in this bad market. Ledu for example.

ICO Actually, it is not recommended to be bought because we know that there are many people who are committing fraud using the fictional ico project. we must be smart in buying it
Just try to bring another example of the fraudulent project and that's called as ethereum nowa which claim to be apart of ethereum hardfork but it has created by scammer by stole others identity and put it to the nowa site.

i think you should consider only very good ICO if you want to invest at current market situation, we all know this price will not return you as big as your expectation, but i still believe that we have very good ICO who offer excellent project provided by responsible developer team and bounty manager. no one can exactly predict where the price will goes until we have game changer ICO which can attract many investors to join. the most important thing is to be patient for your ICO investment do not hope for instant big benefit at this moment.

In January 2019 I think if you want to invest in ICO, of course, it's a good step. However, in searching for ICO projects, it is better to do research and find ICO who have experienced teams and developers. And they have a very real vision and mission.

I hope you need to check twice about the company and their potential partnership with the other companies will help us to find more potential about the project. It is very good to invest in the ICO's but we need to verify before investing in ICO's.
