Beware of these signs and detect gambling addictions early on so that you don’t fall in too deep. What other signs do you think we should be wary of?

Of course we should stay away from all these signs, but when we enter into gambling, all these signs appear. I lost while gambling a few days ago and I have noticed some of these signs in myself, when I lose in gambling, my mood is usually irritable, it is normal. I feel angry when my neighbor or any person talks to me, my neighbor suffers because of these behaviors, but this is a sign of my addiction.
So other people like me who gamble must have these signs, if you retire from gambling, then you can stay away from the signs of addiction, usually we gamble for fun but when we lose money, everyone becomes busy to save money. You should stay away from all these activities.

And yet it seems to me that such a reason as financial need is a very weak argument for developing a gambling addiction.
Still, I don’t think that most people with financial problems will even start playing in a casino or betting. The thing is that only a real fool without concern for his future will think that a casino can pull him out of poverty. This is essentially betting his whole life on the line. And someone who does not love himself at all is capable of this.

The moment you lose that is when you will be able to control your self because we gamblers have similar abilities when we lose we always want to make back the money we have lost and that is like one of the problems because when you keep playing to make back your money, then you keep losing, and control is very essential we just have to be very honest gambling is not somthing you joke with because even with control you won't be able to alway control your self.
that's how mostly gamblers fell on same situation, wherein because being positive and having a feeling that they can regain their losses afterwards but without knowing they become addicted and what they earn from it is stress , anxiety and a bad healt conditions as well.
Too good to be true guys, for those who see these thread. I suggest to take it for fun only and don't use gambling as your holy grail to make money because it's not how what it is.

I agree to that, it's something inside you that push you to keep trying, especiall if you are in the situation that you think you are almost hitting your winning streak but it didn't happen, you are force to add more money and keep trying your luck, you just going to realize that you are already losing a lot once you see that there's no more money in your balance and there's nothing in your savings.

It's a sad situation with most gamblers who at first are just using the venue to enjoy but once addiction triggers and they unable to control chances to fall into addiction is not by far.

Many factors actually trigger a person trapped in gambling addiction, such as what the OP said as an early sign for those who are addicted, but for those who want to restore what has been lost, it only makes them actually more immersed in the addiction, in my opinion, in fact many people are aware that they have an addiction but it is difficult for them to admit they are addicted during this time, besides gambling addiction not only has an impact on finances, but also on mental health and their social relationships, those who are addicted to gambling often experience stress, and often even relationships with family and friends are disrupted because of their compulsive gambling behaviour.

And mental health is no less important, but we discuss it much less often, perhaps because even without gambling we have enough stress at work and in other areas of life. Gambling failures can cause the same or even more stress. While a gambler can cope with not losing more than he should, in the mental aspect the losses are very difficult to measure, but I suspect that they can have an even greater impact on our health than we can imagine.

Therefore, this is why we are always more advised to only make gambling a place to find entertainment, isn't experiencing various pressures and stress unpleasant, my friend? Of course, so don't let our choice to get involved in gambling actually make us have new problems. On the other hand, you are actually free to choose, but make sure that every decision you make does not cause new problems in your life, so maybe it can be said that gambling is a choice, you are free to get involved in gambling but make sure before you get involved you must first know the risks, because in my opinion only by understanding, knowing and being aware of the risks will they not be careless or aggressive in every decision such as determining the amount of money to be bet.

It is true what you said without gambling we are already stressed enough with work that may be very burdensome on our minds. People who gamble unhealthy are likely to experience where they can be affected mentally to become stressed because people like this tend to do reckless actions that can endanger themselves, but the funny thing is that sometimes they realize that their actions are wrong but still do it. Losses can indeed have an impact on our health if we respond to gambling as a means to make a profit or in other words we are not ready to lose the money that is at stake, but when we can accept the losses that will occur then there will be no bad effects whatsoever that will occur.

The moment you can't stay without gambling is the first sign of an addiction. When you always want to place bets at all time and more at rest when you don't gamble then you're most likely win addict. A gambler should b able to stay without gambling and doesn't feel a thing. I usually check myself, when I start getting worried when I don't place bets or gamble, then I purposely decide to stay away for a while.

Even if you take gambling as just for fun, you can't get addicted to it, because people get addicted to things they do for fun, so it's not just people that want to make money from gambling that gets addicted.
One thing about gambling addiction or any other form of addiction is that it comes gradually. You don't just wake up one day and become an addict so when you see the signs make the right decision by staying away from gambling for a period.

Since it is typical for an addicted person to deny the obvious, a gambler can deny changes in his behavior socially or on the level of psychics. But there are early symptoms of gambling addiction, which, although they have psychological causes, manifest themselves on a physical level. These might manifest as increased heart rate, sweating, or tension when thinking about gambling activities or missing out on them.
Other signs could be sleep disturbances due to restlessness or nightmares about gambling losses. It's also common for individuals with a gambling addiction to experience headaches and stomachaches, often related to stress and anxiety caused by their gambling behavior. Keeping an eye out for these physical symptoms can help in identifying an emerging issue with gambling addiction early on.

Those things you have written or you outline is among one of the things that makes people to be addicted in gambling but the thing is that for someone to be addicted in gambling there are major two reasons it is neither the person is jobless or the person have lose much in gambling and it is looking for a way to recover what whatever thing he has lost so this I have two things that involve for someone to be addicted in gambling because sometimes some people who is addicted in gambling does not know that there are addicted on the people inform them or until they are into debt before they will know that there are addicted in the gambling.

Addiction is when someone has a greater interest in something and wants to always be able to feel or get it continuously

No not really. Addiction is when your brain has a dysfunction in its reward system.

When it comes to regulating dopamine and other neurochemicals, the brain has a way of determining how much is enough. But because an addict does something addictive (like gambling or drugs), the brain starts registering the overstimulation of neuroreceptors as the 'new normal'. And anything below that level of stimulation makes your brain think the dopamine amount is insufficient and demands more, which can easily be achieved by doing the addictive thing.
I do agree into this sentiment on which at the moment that you mind is really that getting blinded with the money that you can possibly get when dealing up with gambling.
People do usually get addicted on the moment that they do become that having these kind of aims at the moment or time that they will really be that desperate on making money. Addiction symptoms isnt something that could be seen not until into the time that you had lost up too much money or you had already noticed out that you have lost a huge portion or all of your life savings or emergency funds. There are those individuals who are really that becoming delusional on this aspect because they are really that expecting too much in regarding into this one.

It is better for them not to hide what they are doing because it doesn’t help them, it only pushes them further into their gambling addiction. It is best to open up to family or friends to get advice and reminders. Let us face that the people around us often know what is best for us, especially in situations like this. And if sharing with family feels too hard, at least some of our friends know it.
Being a responsible gambler must exist in our minds rather been too quite and greedy.
The problem with opening up that you're into gambling is that there might be some of your relative that might stay away from you because you're into gambling. I know this isn't happening for most, but there are some instances where gamblers are being despised by their relative just because of the fact that they're into gambling.

While this is true, there are some still that are opening it to them, and the good thing is that they're helping him/her and teaching him/her how to be responsible in gambling. Well, sometimes the best thing for an addicted gambler to do is to just seek help from a professional aside from the help from his family members. Hiding that you're gambling for me is a case-to-case basis because of what I said. Hiding might be beneficial or harmful depending on the scenario and your family members.

As for me, I tried to open it up to my partner and said to me not to gamble too much, but she didn't stop me for doing it. I can control myself when it comes to gambling so I'm not overspending on it as well.

They do like that is because they are afraid to admit the reality that they are a gambler and worry what will people around them say if those people know that they are gambler. Not many of them have a courage to admit that they are a gambler in front of their family or friends. But your advice is good enough for those who don't want to gets in a hard situation by hiding their gambling activity. At least, they must share to their friends that they are playing gambling and ask for a help from friends to watch them not to playing gambling excessively. They must know that playing gambling needs to be responsible so they will not get any problem including becomes addicted to gambling.

Addiction is when someone has a greater interest in something and wants to always be able to feel or get it continuously, so your opinion may be quite right about unemployment that can trigger addiction, because we can already imagine how their financial situation is and when they succeed in winning in gambling then it is very possible for them to have excessive thoughts that tend to be unreasonable and that happens because they are too excessive in responding to the victory they managed to get.
But on the other hand I seem to disagree a little with your second point about those who try various ways to recover the amount of defeat they previously experienced, I think that is not a sign or trigger of addiction but indeed in that situation they are already in a cycle of addiction, for this second point I think it is more directed at the inability to accept risk, while the sign of addiction is something about "excessive interest".

It's not like no one doesn't want to lending money to a gambler, it's more like lending money to a gambler that doesn't know how to pay back. Some people have this sweet mouth to request for money, they will make you all sort of promises to pay back but as soon as you gave them the money, you will be the one to be running after them to pay back and since debt isn't a police case, you don't have any power to hold them unless you charge them to court and that doesn't make sense.

It is possible that this business is only carried out by some of the closest associates to lend money to gamblers or the most likely to be encountered in this case is for offline gambling in casinos where sometimes in some places there is always a special room for us to borrow money in advance when we run out of money to gamble but there will always be something like this because in the end Although I do not recommend that gamblers do this (borrowing to gamble) but in one condition this loan is still legal because regardless of what the purpose of the loan is used for the borrower will not really care as long as there is collateral and the debt that the player borrowed must be paid of course with double interest because this is also a business for some land-based casinos.

It's just important in this case that the role of the players is not to be too eager because doing this without really careful consideration can destroy ourselves with the gambling activities we do.

Personally, I would form such signs that I heard from dozens of interviews with gambling addicts:

the first sign is lying to relatives. A problem gambler lies constantly, he hides the smartphone on which he plays, does not give it to anyone. Also, when economic problems begin, the gambler begins to lie about all sorts of reasons for which he should be lent money.

Then health and sleep problems begin. Constantly checking the phone if it is betting to see the results of matches and how it is going in general. Stress and insomnia are the companions of any problem gambler.

I don't think I completely agree lying is a symptom of problem gambling or addiction to gambling/betting though. For example, I recall the first time I lost a significant amount of money (it was not much, but big enough for me to hurt) and I was asked why I was feeling down during those days after the loss, I did lie to my relatives and I did not tell them I lost money rolling dices on a crypto casino.
I have never considered myself to be addicted to gambling and yet I lied, why did I do it? perhaps because gambling is kind of a taboo topic here in my household and my family would have unnecessarily worry about me and my well-being.

One can lie when losing money, but it does not immediately means one is addicted to anything. However, an addicted person is more likely to say things which are not true in order to hide their habits from others who may judge and belittle them.
With the current state of the world and the morals of people changing to worse, lying is not even a symptom of anything, unfortunately.

"Don't let yourself have a long free time, because if that happens then it can bring us closer to gambling and addiction."

I am a person who likes to pay attention to the conditions around me. And for example, some time ago my brother lost his job, so he had a lot of free time. And what happened was the more free time he had, the more often he gambled. And this can happen because when someone is used to gambling, then when he has money and free time, his mind will immediately focus on gambling. Which in the end this can not only result in financial losses, but his life becomes unproductive and lazy.
There is this proverb that says "an idol man is the devils workshop" you probably must have heard it, if you're a gambling and you're not engaged on activities that takes up your time you will easily go into addiction because once that free time comes again alm you have is to deposit and try to double, maybe sometimes you will think you're doing for fun untill you hit big and then loss it back to the casino then the act of revenge which is a strong pillar to addiction comes in.

At least every adult should have the consciousness in them to be occupied every time hence not to gamble out of laziness.

If one is addicted, there will be some signs and indications that are going to be manifesting from the way such person is gambling, his lifestyle and many things about him eventually will got changed, things like, refraining from friends, lack of money to gamble or do some other important things in life, self-seclusion and personal contempt, people around such an addicted fellow will also be observing the irresponsible way of gambling and how strange this is becoming.
Apart from these, there are some other external behaviors that can be easily guessed that he is addicted to gambling. If a gambler is married he will misbehave with his wife and children after gambling and may even commit heinous acts like wife torture which is common in my country. And losing will surely put pressure on the wife to manage gambling money and torture for dowry.
torture for dowry as a sign of gambling addiction? that is really extreme. as much as we get to react differently whenever we are not doing well financially, when it gets to the point where you start to torture the next person to you be it your kids or your wife, you are clearly an abusive person that got to show it really evidently at the time you are at your low and it is not necessarily just because you are an addict.

basic signs like becoming broke always and inability to managing any fund that comes ones way is the main sign that shows that one is addicted, the rest of the others are just reaction to not having money or counter reaction to what people that feels that you are addicted are saying about you. if you have a partner who sees your addiction as her responsibility and is ready to help you break free from it, she will never judge you but will intentionally assist you break free from it and that wont result in any form of abusive relationship in the end.
