Based on what I have witnessed in some compulsive gamblers, they usually see some of all these signs when they are gambling but they ignore it and don't bother to make a correction, they keep ignoring it until they can no longer control it because it has become a habit. At least if a gambler begins to notice all this symptoms, they should either take a brake from gambling for some time or seek a advice from someone that can help them.
They're aware of the signs of gambling addiction, but still lack self control. A responsible gambler with a plan would recognize when they are losing too much and take steps to prevent addiction, without needing from others. As the saying goes, A good person advises themselves after all  self reflection and introspection can be more valuable than advise from others.
You're right, self control is the major thing that is causing some gamblers to be addicted to gambling because they don't know how to apply stop to their gambling to continue the next day, than to finish all the money on gambling which is a bad habit to anyone that have such habit. The moment you are addicted to gambling, you will not know when you are losing until you loss all your money before your eyes will be open to know the damage you have done to yourself, because the gambler ignore some strategies that would have make he or she to avoid losses in the gambling.

Once you ignored professional of gambling advise, it's the sign of addiction to the gambler because he or she will be thinking that  what he or she is doing is the right thing until he loss everything in gambling by trying to recover what he has loss in the past.

It is scary when a gambling addict starts to face a financial situation that he can no longer have any money to gamble. This is where the worse comes worst part.

If that guy don't do anything before just to gamble because he has some money on his bank account, he'd do crazy things that are unexpected. Selling more stuff that he has able to save when he's a working man.

Selling more important things when the urge to gamble is there. And that's why financial issues are really a sign of someone who's struggling with gambling addiction.
If a gambler runs out of last balance, he bankrupts all his bank accounts. If his bank account is exhausted, he will sell his house, motorcycle, mobile phone, all his hobbies and participate in gambling.

There will come a time when all his balances are exhausted he will involve himself in various criminal activities. Managing gambling money in particular is likely to involve theft, kidnapping, extortion for dowry, and even murder. All of these actions are the extreme stages of a gambler's addiction.
That is what happen to addicted gamblers where they will not see the reality and only want to keep playing gambling. Many people already face this problem so they need a help from other people but addicted gamblers must realize and see the bad things happened to him. If he can not realize that he already bankrupt, he will still gambling and will search for the other money so that can attract him to commit an criminal activities.

We must know about the danger of become addicted to gambling and stay away from playing gambling excessively or too often because that can make us forget about limitation. Being aware from the gambling addiction and always stay away from gambling addiction will be better than curing the gambling addiction. So we must be careful when playing gambling.

Gambling addiction as in principle other addictions have several stages. In addition, each gambler has his or her own psychological profile. Therefore, someone realizes that he became gambling addicted at an early stage, and someone does not, or just does not want to admit it thinking that if he recognizes the addiction he will be a weakling. Try asking people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs if they are addicted. Most will say that they are not addicted and have no problems. People with gambling addictions are no different. But we know how things really are.
Early-stage addiction is much easier to address, but once it becomes severe, it’s definitely not an easy recovery. An addicted gambler rarely recognizes or admits they have a problem. Instead, it’s the people around them—family and friends—who notice the changes in their actions and behavior, which are far from normal or how they used to be.

That’s why the role of loved ones is important in taking immediate action and helping with treatment. They’re often the first to spot the warning signs and intervene. Addicted individuals can’t overcome this alone; they need support, care, and proper guidance from the people who truly care about them.

The fact is that they don't show concern in the beginning when these addiction signs are coming up because they feel they can make a fortune from gambling, and for that reason, they feel ignorant as if it is nothing. But along the line, they get addicted and remain stuck in it, causing problems for themselves and their families. If we gamble moderately without making profits our priority when gambling, it will be hard for anyone to get addicted. However, another way to stay away from addiction is by going on break from time to time.

Extremely sad these circumstances for so many and the kids have to live and be struck down before they even had a chance with a very hard life indeed. I’m sure some strong willed determined kids come out of that tho, some kids that had to fight their whole life and make their own living even as a boy. Isn’t there some storybook or movie about that ?

I don't know if there are any movies about that. I know moogly, an Indian boy, was lost in a jungle, and the animals helped him to survive. I don't think that is a real story. But every homeless child's life is more than a movie. Most of them lost their father and mother because of their separation or they died in an accident. Now they live by begging for money from people, and sometimes some of them try to sell something. Some of them get addicted, too. A gambling-addicted person could be the reason for many people's trouble. Mostly, the children get affected, and this is a sad truth.
Of course and the children don’t know better so they cash in maybe thinking they’ll be able to get the money back and this vicious cycle continues. I wish I could say that I know the answers to fix all their problems but I just don’t. The truth is that any person just can do so very little to help others struggling in this space due to lack of control. If meditating and relaxing became more of a regular I think this would help those individuals substantially.

Gambling cannot be considered as a passive income, as you still need to perform certain actions and spend money to make a profit. It is more appropriate to say that gambling can bring additional income under certain circumstances.
What certain circumstances do you mean?  Undecided
I never assume gambling as a source of regular income. Gambling naturally is a place for having fun and trying luck with those games. Even if you got money when you have a luck, it is better to assume it as lucky money. If you assume it as a passive income or additional income, you are probably motivated to try harder. This way raises the chance of losing of huge money because you are trying to chase the wins for earning more money. In many cases, this ends up with addictions and severe losses.

Not necessarily that people who talk about gambling a lot of doesn't talk about it at all addicted to it or not, it's something that can be observed by their actions on daily basis especially by looking at their spending nature. So only someone who is very close might be capable of noticing when someone addicted to gambling.
Some people keep their gambling habits a secret such that even people close to them may not even know or get to understand that they are gamblers and even those who post on platforms online aren't necessarily addicted gamblers, some of them are gamblers who actually do have control over what they do but come on those platforms to share ideas about gambling and also help their gambling success rate.

There are many factors that are the reason why a gambler keeps their involvement in gambling a secret from others, it could be because they are in an anti-gambling environment, their country prohibits gambling activities or because of religious issues, basically yes you are quite right that those who post on gambling boards discussing addiction does not mean they are addicts, there is always another possibility such as the intention of their visit is to share experiences with others so that others do not get caught in the same problem, but for your last point about success I hope you can explain what success you mean, if for example you mean success in achieving a much bigger win then of course that doesn't make sense because no matter how much experience you have you will still never have a way to always win.

I’m not sure how telling of a sign it is, but I would think that posting regularly on gambling forums on the internet is probably not the best sign that you aren’t addicted to gambling. As long as it doesn’t become a problem and have a negative impact on your life, I think you’ll be ok. Mostly just don’t do dumb stuff and look for things to blame.

That's the severe and worst part of gambling addiction and such addicts almost forget about all moral values that they have learned throughout their life. They even sell belongings of their parents, siblings, and sometimes their wives.

I tell you and is very bad for one to go extra miles in borrowing money to cover up for their gambling activities, it's sure a pure state of gambling addiction just like someone that can go miles to  smoke or take illicit drugs. And it sure tarnish and destroys ones image not to talk about loved ones being affected from it as well and thus an addiction are very penetrating so the need for opting out it's better.

Posting regularly in gambling forums isn't a sign of gambling addiction provided it doesn't affect your other daily engagements. I was once a gambling addict so I know the signs you'll see and know you're getting addicted to gambling and one of them which I think is the worst of them all is when a gambler loses the mental and emotional strength to regulate his gambling activities.
When a gambler is absolutely invested on nothing but gambling alone, it's important that he begins to seek mental help or end up becoming fully addicted to gambling
There is nothing wrong about writing on the gambling board whether one is an addictive or non addictive gambler.
The most important thing for every gambler to know whether to leave gambling and when to continue because activity should not be a daily task for us to involve ourselves in. This should be a rare activity that is likely to be done when we are need to few dollars. People that see gambling as a part work are the ones that easily become addicted to gambling. It will be better for us when we know when to stop gambling and when to gamble because the little we might have made can still be lost if we do it excessively.
Writing in gambling board do not make one to be addicted, instead the gambling board is a place where gambling can also expand their knowledge to learn some certain things. The gambling board is not the reason why people spend so much just to win bet, it has nothing to do with addiction. The reason why people for so much into addiction is because they don't give any attention to most of this addiction signs, they just see's it as fun in gambling. Some people don't even mind to gamble with all the money they have in them, some people also see gambling as the most important thing in life and every other thing comes later. All these are signs  that people don't even give attention to.

Most of what I know about gamblers around me, they started out by trying to fool around or looking for entertainment, but they were unknowingly trapped on the page until it was difficult to get out. If from the start of betting, are ready to accept defeat, maybe there is no ambition to return the money that has been lost, but most gamblers are frustrated with the money that has been lost. But not everyone understands it well. There are still many positive activities, but everyone is different

Most of the people that posting in the gambling section are not even gamblers but probably because of the promotional campaign, they are force to make those comments. Therefore most of them can't be addicted because they are making comments on the online gambling platforms. And what let to addiction of gambling is the mindset of winning big and chasing of loss. If a gambler is not chasing his losses then he can control himself from addiction. And another thing that also making gamblers to be addicted is the small winning they got from the games.

We should not take gambling as passive income activity because most of them are using it and that lead them to the addiction.

What you are saying is true, but only for a specific number of people. Not everyone you see on this board is doing it only for incentives. Some have a general interest in gambling or sports betting, which is why they take part in discussions, make predictions, and may even gamble sometimes. I have also seen people who specifically join campaigns and promotions related to gambling so that they can spend more time in the space.

However, it's true that one cannot get addicted to gambling only by being in a space where gambling is being discussed all the time. One might get tempted if they see visuals of others winning which might make them have a thought that they can have the same results if they gamble as well and that might make them gamble.

This kind of thing is inevitable because whether you realize it or not that in the end many people have felt this kind of impact where they really feel the destruction of their lives is getting bigger just because they are unable to control and control what they do in gambling.

There have been many examples where someone has sold their property, sold their closest people such as children and even become a criminal by robbing or killing just because they were involved in gambling so it is not too strange if in the end people who do gambling until now continue to be seen as someone negative because there are so many things that happen as a result of gambling.

Even though we want to deny that not all gamblers do the same thing but in the end with what happened in some cases caused by gambling then indeed we cannot defend ourselves that gambling is good considering that there are still a lot of negative impacts compared to the positive impacts that occur when we gamble.
