I mentioned this concern here and i will insist on it. Its been almost two days that the site is down without any intimation to the external world  Huh

If you follow all their communication channels, you will get more information. I will share their last announcement on Telegram (from yesterday 28. Nov). They seem to have everything under control

They are back. Wallet address was filled up. Long live to sinbad!

I am sorry but they are not back. Yes, for the bitcointalk community we know that the wallet has been topped up and signature payments have been cleared and  they are back but what about the outsiders ? Those who access the mixer directly without knowing about bitcointalk forum ?

You have to improve on the communication side, I believe it is the missing element to raise your quality level even further.  Wink

Again a simple html page showing Site is down for maintenance is much better for a business as compared to the site being offline altogether for unknown number of days. Also note that not everyone follows the telegram too.

Dear users, the service is closed for update and maintenance, the date of works completion will be posted later.
Yeah, the website is inaccessible at the moment. But hopefully, the maintenance and the update will be done very soon.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Sinbad representative.  Cool

I do not think this is the right way to do the maintenance of a site. When I open sinbad, I come across this page, showing that the site is inaccessible.

https://i.ibb.co/3RqQh9C/sinbad.png
Every website has the right to do maintenance. If you think that this is not the right way to do maintenance, IMHO what is not right is that there were no announcements made. But in this case, they just did. And by the time that you have visited them, they have announced that they'd do a maintenance so that's expected that you'll see that error.

I understand that people at bitcointalk are aware of this maintenance, but what about the people accessing Sinbad directly and not using the bitcointalk forum, they will just think that that site is down. It will have a serious bad impact on their business.
And the concern you have brought is right but I think that every user should be aware of the community channels that they have and they've announced it there on their Telegram channel.

Isn't good to put a page showing that the site is in maintenance mode, rather than making it completely offline especially when it is a service site ?
Also, there is no intimation of when this maintenance will be over, usually the engineers are aware of the tentative maintenance time  Huh
I agree although this is a server matter and will take a few days or so as they've said on their telegram.

Possible scam exit. Still haven't received about 5btc

You removed the addresses, so we can't help you much here. How many confirmations are there for the transaction you sent Bitcoin to Sinbad?
I also suggest that you go to their official Telegram channel and ask this question. https://t.me/Sinbadio_English

It was what was expected, honestly, I always thought it was an oversight and as they were on vacation it took a while to be resolved.

All outstanding debt has been paid. The discussion about that is over.

Now I leave a suggestion to the @SinBad.io team:
You have to improve on the communication side, I believe it is the missing element to raise your quality level even further.  Wink

You are right, I would also start this discussion more seriously. Although I have pointed out this here a couple of times before. For example
Of course, we have to wait for the next update, I hope it will be soon.

Sinbad.io Mixer has always been shown as a mixer with enough bitcoins so I don't think the financial situation is the reason,

I am of the same conviction that Sinbad has no problem with finances. Of course, maybe this current maintenance is not the best handled, but even here we can only guess the reason and the seriousness of the situation that their team is solving.
Based on what the campaign manager wrote, we now know that they are also fully aware of the situation and how everything looks. However, in two days they should have more information about the current situation as well as about the future of the Sinbad service.

No matter what kinds of changes you're making to your website, it's better to put up a coming soon or under construction message instead of just showing people some generic error saying the site is unavailable.  I
I agree with that, yes. In this case, even cloudflare shows the exception with an HTTP 502.

There is actually only one situation here where this is not technically possible:

If the Sinbad team has to move the entire server infrastructure from one operator to another, then they may no longer have access to the old infrastructure and therefore can no longer place a message there. For this to happen, however, the old operator must have simply turned off the services, and to be honest it doesn't look like that to me either.

Nevertheless, I assume that the infrastructure will soon be available again. A statement from Sinbad about how long the downtime will last would of course be very nice.

If the website owners have control over the domain, there is no situation that prevents them from creating an informative page about maintenance.

I honestly don't think there is any problem with the service, because so far (it seems) no one has yet complained about any loss of funds.

Now I have to admit that they are showing a management failure in this maintenance process. Let's see what happens in the next few days.

By the way, what happened to blender ? Were they closed permanently after this message?
There is a big difference between blender.io and Sinbad.io in the way they manage the campaign, as blender.io stopped their promotional campaign several times and stopped the service repeatedly before it returned, but the last stop was final.
Overall, you have some good news here:

Anyone who were doubting SInbad.

The main management is back and we are sorting out all the dues today.
There were a confusion before they gone away for sometimes.

They thought they sent additional 3 weeks fund but turns out it was a mistake. Now they found out that they did not sent the additional fund. Hence we had some payment issues.
Once the funds are in the address, I will pay all the dues today (I may have a few hours delay because I am going out for a family event)

I don't think Sinbad is going anywhere, I guess it is routine maintenance and they will come back more strongly.
If there was any other reason, they could have written more clearly and people would trust them. So I will assume that we are here for a little maintenance and it is time to be a bit patience.

Services blender.io and blenderwallet.io are closed for maintenance. Completion dates for technical work will be announced later.
Your funds in Blender Wallet are safe. You can wait for the service to open or access them with a mnemonic and passphrase in the Electrum wallet or any other compatible wallet.

Dear users, the service is closed for update and maintenance, the date of works completion will be posted later.

There is a similarity between the two messages, but beyond all theories, let's see what will happen next Thursday (payment day).

Sinbad.io Mixer has always been shown as a mixer with enough bitcoins so I don't think the financial situation is the reason, but we cannot ignore reports linking this mixer to Blender.io[1], which has been a popular mixer for a while, and this was their latest quote:

I completely agree that placing a sign that the service is currently under maintenance and that it will be reactivated after several hours would be appropriate with providing access for users who have pending transactions related to how their transactions are executed at that time.

I think the current behavior is understandable if they are making major changes such as renaming the service and stopping the current service.

No matter what kinds of changes you're making to your website, it's better to put up a coming soon or under construction message instead of just showing people some generic error saying the site is unavailable.  If someone sees that error out of nowhere, they might get frustrated and not want to come back later.  The pro web developers know you gotta keep giving folks a good experience, even when you're working on stuff behind the scenes.

Is the high transaction fee have a negative impact on the mixers and do people uses mixture services less because the network fee is too much these days?

I checked the stats of Sinbad and the traffic in Sinbad during September was around 15.7K monthly while it increased in the month of October to 21.4K. (these details were checked by the free subscription of similar web).

The stats show that there is no decrease in mixer traffic and rather it has shown an increase from the last month. People aren't much worried about the network fee  Huh
