Well, my company are mostly using WhatsApp groups to communicate with their different teams these days to delegate tasks... receive feedback on project deadlines and to plan future projects. Roll Eyes

So, we are flooded with messages every day.... and you cannot get away from work... even when you are not at work. Angry

I think the Covid pandemic has opened the gates for companies to infringe on people's "private" time, because lockdowns has forced people to work from home... and some companies has now got used to having 24/7 communication channels with their employees. (not respecting their "private" time anymore) Angry

It is, and it ain't a problem. The business will still depend on the quality of the item they will sell just like how businesses are outside the internet technology. I mean, there are good products they are selling but I have also experienced bad things.
Social or gathering. It's normal that they will use it as a platform to sell anything because people these days spends more of their time there.
It makes life easier for people who are busy with their jobs and it gives opportunity to those who lost their income during the pandemic.

The emergence of social media opened way for so many prospects. It is rather fortunate that these days due to economic downturns persons have instead found a way to turn 'likes to dollars'.
I could remember how individuals lived a fake life all due to the fact that they felt the need to belong to the trend of those who lived flashy. A time later, the wise ones saw how to optimize data bills and quality content and when they called themselves 'influencers,' they made some cash. Check out the rising cost of inflation across the globe, career shift or other downturns...those who have been on the side of this current economic predicament thought smart and yes, it worked.
More businesses ever since the pandemic have explored social media for various reasons and what stands out most is the remote experience of earning from any location. Socializing has never been smoother yet beneficial due to the owning fact of the financial trust system built between socialites of a common interest. Social media is more for business these days than for meaningless or fake fame.

I think so because more and more people are trying to sell their goods through social media. They try to sell the goods to their friends; many are satisfied with the goods and recommend them to other friends. This is what makes social media has changed from just a place to socialize to a place to make money and we have seen many people who have succeeded by selling through social media. People are doing this to survive this pandemic and many people have already lost their jobs in real life so they are trying to sell something through social media that works.

If you want to make your business successful, connect to others by showing them that they need your product and services just by inspiring them and giving them justification. Is it really that surprising? I think it's not something new. Though it is done over the internet, but business has always been making social relationships, expanding your connections, and etc. And it all starts with socialization.
Now, social media was created because it is a business as well. Haven't you ever think that business minded people have always thought of using the platform to expand their business and find their target market more effectively and efficiently rather than meeting people personally.

So many people have used social media for business and also socializing because they can socialize while running a business so they can get additional income for their lives. Considering the fact that every person carries phone with them and continuously sticking to it, its best way to reach out to peeps and get into their heads.

What we talk, we search, we see everything is getting traced and literally after few minutes AI will start displaying the advertises for the same products or services.

On one side its also giving us amphora of life while on the hand its blooming business.

I do not see how this could be surprising at all, wherever people decide to gather that is a place where business opportunities will exist, so if people like to use social media then it makes sense that business try their best to get a share of it and make their presence there more and more notorious.

Now I can understand where you are coming from as in the early days of social media things were nowhere near as profit driven as they are now, but as I said this is completely natural and there is nothing we can do about it.

For people in the developing world that is desperately in need for alternative source of income, social media becoming a business media is a big blessing. Most people have been able to provide their basic needs by engaging in business activities on social media. But this blessing comes with its own challenges. Social media scam and fraud has increased drastically. Now we have fake business claiming they offer certain goods or servicing but their sole aim is to dupe people of their hard earned money. We have also seen celebrities or public figures with high fellowship advertising and promoting these fake or fraudulent businesses. Regulating the social media might be an affront to freedom of speech but I feel businesses on social media need some form of control.
