I mean, in the event of a tie, how will the winner be determined?, (I remember Trofo mentioned this but I can't find this post).
One of the most common questions about SuperBru, and don't worry, easy to find. In any pool, just click on leaderboard and scroll all the way to the bottom, the rules for each specific pool is there (they're generally the same).

In summary, you go head 2 head and rank first on: # correct outcomes, then exact, then close. As I've mentioned before, this system actually doesn't reward exacts, so I should bloody well learn to side with expected outcomes=)
No sharing of the prizes*. I just award prizes as per Superbru ranking. There are some tie breakers implemented and buwaytress told you how to check them, but that is why we are using Spuperbru so that I don't have to check all that stuff Smiley

This time tie breakers are actually more important then ever since there are a lot of us inside couple of points. As usual, let the luckiest bastard win  Grin

*Prize will be shared only if players are tied for the rank after all tie breakers are implemented. That is shown on Superbru as
1.xxxxx
   yyyy
3.zzzzz

If prizes were paid right now there would be no sharing of the prizes.

One of the most common questions about SuperBru, and don't worry [...]
Thank you, you reassured me ... in any case, Argentina will play today with a margin of two goals and I will finally stop worrying. Grin

Interesting fact: I am the last in the Euro pool, but I am the first in the COPA America pool. Roll Eyes

[...] so I should bloody well learn to side with expected outcomes=)
It seems to me that a bet in favor of the expected result makes sense only at the final stage of the tournament, since if you enter the prize pool you only need to hold your position, (it makes sense to resort to ambiguous forecasts only at the group stage).

The only bet I was considering (other than my failed Peru upset) was a Brazil win to nil and Neymar to score but the odds were ridiculously low (4/1 with a boost).
I join ... despite the fact that Neymar still scored a couple of three goals in this tournament, the chances that he will score the first goal were really not promising. By the way, does anyone know about the Superbu ranking process? I see that one guy bypassed me, but at the same time he has the same number of points as me. Brazil set their place in the final, according to statistics, match was not that bad, although just one goal in the end (haven't watch it)

now, more interesting duel between Argentina and Colombia, my bet is with Colombia, both teams played some mixed football during the competition that was highly "just for fun" up to QF, and Colombia kicked-out Uruguay, in a match that is similar to "what to expect tonight", and there is more value in x2, than Argentina to win

Copa is tight af it looks but I guess we will see the Brazil/Argentina dream match up... unless I just jinxed Argentina by saying that;)

Colombia was my pre-tourney pick though, would be cool if they got through too.

Value bet here is agreed. Colombia ML or Argentina -1.5 (haha).

Slava Ukraini!
Thanks for reminder about competition. I thought that both games will be played tomorrow.
Personally, I expect Brazil to reach comfortable win. For Argentina it's not going to be easy, but I hope to see Brazil - Argentina final.
But when I look at schedule, final will be played so late in the night from Sunday to Monday. Why not to play on Saturday, especially because there will be no EURO games. They probably forcus on South America people, but their schedule is one of reasons why Copa is so poorly covered in Europe.

you guys have any active bets for the game tonight? i booked this one @4.5

i'm surprised to see Peru moneyline at 15 odds, are they playing with the reserve team or something? i know they're playing against brazil, but, c'mon now  Roll Eyes

Peru really have done much in this tournament for me to take a risk on them, even If I'd agree that the odds is a too much, I think it is also justifiable.

The odds is currently at 16, I'll be going with Over 2.5 instead, because I don't see an upset happening.

Whoops, sorry, I knew I forgot about the mini contest haha.

And yes, third place for Copa (not for EURO) I answered that myself some time back...

And yes, toma, I was surprised myself. I booked one at around 173/10 on Fairlay, though I did notice it was even 18/1++ at Sportsbet, and I bet you there's a super boost for whoever's waiting -- 20/1 is too good to ignore.

I mean man, these were the last finalists! Yes Brazil hammered them in the end, but you know, draws, penalties. That sort of thing lives and breathes in LatAm football;)

Slam points are awarded after you get 6 correct results (maybe some other number) so it is impossible to get them when you get to stages where there is less games then threshold for slam points.

Does anyone know if the third-place match will be included, or it's just the semis and the final?
Depends on Copa format. Is there third match play off?

According to Wikipedia, there is one, 9th July @Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha.

New competition is up. I went with something different this time around, hope you guys like it.

Ahh man, those Superbru wankers were handing out slam points for the meaningless group stage matches only and not the quarter-finals.

I thought we would get one, this is such a bummer, especially since we had two draws. Bad Superbru, baaad Superbru!  Grin

If Argentina is destined to win the championship, it is definitely Leo’s championship and if you lose the championship it will definitely be Because there weren't enough players to help him at crucial moments.
Fun fact to think about. Messi is now without contract at Barca and can sign for whichever club he wishes. Is it possible that this has freed him in some way and he is now performing better than ever? It has been long time since he had to "prove" his quality in order to get better contract or maybe it is just the freedom that suits him.

Copa America semi-finals we got:
Peru vs Brazil
Colombia vs Argentina
For me this is one of the best championships where Messi played with Argentina if not the best in terms of fighting, desire, influence and the numbers he is getting.

Then in second game Jesus had a start like he watched Bruce Lee movie to prepare for the match.
heh! for those missed it https://twitter.com/TSN_Sports/status/1411129853571735558

and yeah, as expected, it was a yellow card festival last night, could've gone with Total Bookings pts in a few single bets but i won two similar tickets earlier and called it a day

Later today, one hell of a match, Uruguay - Colombia. It might be another game with a lot of bookings. Their last meeting in 2020 had 5 yellow cards and a red card. Hmm 🤔

So talking about hot blood south americans, first game yesterday had 8 yellow cards. 2 of those were 2nd yellows. Then in second game Jesus had a start like he watched Bruce Lee movie to prepare for the match. Did you guys ever see Jesus make a strong start in Europe? Copa brings the most emotions and rivalry from these guys and over cards or red cards are always just waiting to happen.

Im expecting a final between Argentina and Brazil if some surprises dont come. Chile looks really bad this year and i dont think they have a much chance in this match. Uruguay is also fighting hard to score they play good but Cavani has been struggling the entire tournament so far
The classic confrontation between Brazil and Argentina, it would be a good match, but Argentina for me this year does not look like a very strong team and I think that Uruguay could give them a good competition. As for Brazil, I hope they make it to the final. The game against Chile was very difficult for Brazil, they had to play in the second half of the match outnumbered after removal, which of course is very difficult for the whole team.

Peru is the first semi-finalist, winning on penalties in a game that had six goals and two red cards. I hope you guys stayed late to watch it, it was well worth it. Possibly the best one so far, first match in this tournament that mattered, but don't get me started on the format we had this year, 20 matches just to eliminate two teams who were missing half of their players due to covid. Anyways, Peru should have won in regulation imo, but they gave up an easy goal from a corner with a man up, followed by a last-minute equalizer. Paraguay clearly missed having Almiron in their lineup, he was their best player in the previous matches...

I'm glad they went back to having no extra time after 90 minutes and instead we go straight to penalties, it's refreshing, plus it's 1 point for those of us who had the game as a draw Grin...not sure if the draw would've held the way these guys play defense. lol

(but I will still hope that in the end I will be right with my prediction).
You could be right with your prediction, nobody knows what will happen. We are just pointing out that hot South American blood which can lead to lots of cards and even fights more often then in Europe. Sometimes there is very little needed, I remember one Brazil game when Neymar did a couple of unnecessary and maybe a little bit disrespectful dribbles and after that he was on his back every time he got the ball. They just changed the player who was marking him every time previous one got yellow card.
