I watched the opening halves of yesterday's matches, and Brazil could have had four or more goals before the break if Richarlison had been a little sharper. Venezuela's absence of so many players will affect them more in their upcoming mathes against Peru and Ecuador than it did against Brazil, they were going to play/defend in their own half regardless.

Colombia/Ecuador's first half was an absolute borefest, at the least the goal for Colombia was one the best trick set pieces i've seen in a long time, you can check it out here if you missed it, it's worth it:

Thanks for the free bet @Steve@SB! I was able to convert mine, not crazy odds but at least i avoided Poland's upset by opting for totals instead.

Too bad I saw this after I locked my prediction at 2-0 if I didn't lock it I would added a goal or two.
A little reminder what's the risk of not locking up prediction on SuperBRU.
From what I remember the results should be accepted right?
The only benefit of locking it I you would be able to see other locked predictions before the start of the games.

@tomahawk9, thanks for sharing news about Venezuela, I wasn't aware about it. Though, probably even with full squad they wouldn't have much chances against Brazil. So, we can expect quite many goals tonight.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch Colombia - Ecuador game because it will start too late and it's Monday tomorrow :/. Colombia are favorites, though, I checked H2H results and last time Ecuador won 6:1. How!? Did Colombia missed half of squad because of Covid?

You got it. No point in offering 1-2, I'll go with something like under 5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, over 14.
I'll start it soon so that we have more time to join. Probably tomorrow. Feel like there will be less than half of us participating in this first one.

Friendly reminder that the Venezuela NT confirmed yesterday that over 12 players in the squad tested positive for covid19 and they had to call 15 new players for today's debut against Brazil ^[1]. Bolivia confirmed 4 positive cases in the squad^[2].

So keep that in mind when making your predictions

It would have been too many similar selections if I allowed for more cards under same selection. I have a feeling there will be lots of cards in COPA. As I said if you guys have good idea, feel free to propose. Those mini competitions during the week are completely under my jurisdiction and we can make them whatever we like.

Just added few more rules to clarify who will be the winner:
I will award each correct card prediction with one point and then use tie breaker to select winner if several users end with same points.
In case even tie breaker is same, then the winner is the one who posted first.

Two more days!

We got to my projected number of 15 players so I let the thread rest a little before the real stuff starts. We have 4 matches in this match day and I am thinking what to do for mini weekly competition. There is no "derby" game at this stage so maybe we should do something for all the games
* predict 1x2 - but that is close to what we are doing in Superbru
* predict number of goals in the games - could be better solution, but hard to get correctly
* predict the number of booking points as under/over and I'll put margins - this one could be juicy and I am leaning towards this
* I'll probably use time of first goal or first card in Paraguay - Bolivia game as tie breaker since it is the last game in this first bunch of games

According to forum posting rules I believe I will have to open another thread in games and rounds for this. I'll make it so I can delete posts and just nuke all the post from freebie hunters that are not part of this pool. Will post link here so don't worry about missing it.
