I remember a few years ago, I was invited by sportsbet to the Monaco Grand Prix, but that date didn't suit me unfortunately, but it would have been fun to watch 😄

But I'm ready for a new challenge! So I'm in 😀

Payment sent!

Seeing Slissy the famous guy come in, I now confirm I will also join. I already sent my payment so look forward to being one of the surprise participants. Monaco sounds like some kind of fantasy, it's full of boats and castles and James Bond gamblers lol

Red Bull I guess I'll support, just going with the flow because I really don't even know who's good and who's not. Ferrari doesn't seem to instil fear anymore these days huh!!

Welcome to all fellas who have joined the pool. Smiley

In addition, I've created a new topic in our German section where Bitcointalk members can link recently announced Prediction Pools and I've linked Sportsbet.io's F1 Prediction Pool from CLS63, so maybe we'll get a few additional participants, especially from our Bundesliga pool, which is very famous in our local section. Right now, we seem to be at 20 participants already but 75 mBTC + 50 mBTC participation fees (25 participants) = 125 mBTC would be a nice (and achievable) number for our pool.  Smiley

As the number of people participating in the pool has got past 20, the sponsorship fee that we will get has become 75 mbtc. There have been many big F1 drivers growing up from Germany. I hope they aren't as good as that when it comes to making predictions.  Cheesy

OK, I am joining the club, but I will send participation fee later if you agree with that.
My Superbru username is nblx001, and my Favorite Constructor is Red Bull Racing.
Please remind me to send you coins in March before deadline.
I guess you meant CLS63 but I can write it down to remind you, too.  Smiley

All of the things you have said is true. Every willing forum member can join the pool. There is no quota limit.

as seeing new faces, seems that this pool will have more participants than last season, and will be harder to be in top positions

You are absolutely right. But only top 3 were able to get a prize last year (except yellow caps). This year the number of people who get a prize should increase.

Lots of familiar faces from other pools here in the thread. Pretty sure, this will be an exciting F1 season. Sweet!

Especially I'm very happy that I have an opportunity to get the money I lost to the people in the Bundesliga pool back. Tongue

First of all, welcome to the pool. Smiley  The 2023 Formula 1 season is starting with practice sessions on Friday. You don't need to be in a hurry to make the payment for now. You can make the payment until March 17.

Thanks a lot buddy! I just joined the Superbru pool and am going to get familiar with the F1. I will then transfer the participation fee in the next few days and write you a PM.

Even if you don't have much idea about it practice sessions on Fridays would give you nice clues for a race week.

Ah, thanks for the information. Appreciate that! There are quite a few picks that I have to make. And I have absolutely no idea, haha. This will be fun.  Cheesy

What the hell, count me in as well. Time to do good in pool I have no clue about. Making that conclusion based on the fact I am doing bad in pools I know something about  Grin
You got me with all the familiar faces joining here.

welcome to this one
yeah, it is always good to perform better in pool where do you know less than in pools where you know as much as possible, happens all the time

as seeing new faces, seems that this pool will have more participants than last season, and will be harder to be in top positions

Good luck to all participants, sending my fee this evening

We are already at 18 right now so passing that first objective of over 20 looks like easy as we have time to invite users until 17 March when the payment deadline is,this way I know they may lose the first race and this can be a turn off for them but hopefully we manage to surpass that 20 mark before official qualifying starts on Saturday.I see many familiar faces but many of them are first time participants in this pool so this year is going to be better than last one but the difficult part is that most probably I won't make it to the prize spots that easily this year  Grin.

So many familiar users, is there anyone playing here not on other pools?

F1 is absolutely an entertaining sport to follow. Nearly all of the people in the pool last year are joining it again this year as well. (It was good to take their money last year. They want revenge this year.)

My most important question to those who are not coming again this year is Guys what is your excuse? lol

I would definitely want revenge, and this is why I think since I joined a pool, no matter who sponsors, I have never left until it leaves me Wink

Anyway time to brush up on F1, I have a big feeling it will soon be part of BSFL quiz, if not next one actually!!

@CLS63
I've sent you a PM including my participation fee transaction and my sign up details.  Smiley

Good luck, everyone, looking forward to a competitive prediction pool.  Smiley

I've not participated last round but couldn't it also be a strategy to wait until qualifying is over to make a better prediction?
We won't get any Early Brew Point but possibly get a better prediction?
Sometimes, later in the season, teams are also taking engine penalties (affecting starting grid) which are announced over the weekend mostly before qualifying but sometimes also after qualifying.
Believe me, it's not. Last year I tried it in first part of season and I was completely in the bottom. Only when I started to leave my predictions before qualifying I got up a bit and got few yellow caps. Early Bru Point can be crucial thing. Engine penalties isn't that big factor if we talk about Top3 teams as they usually recover positions throughout the race. Things like crashes or rain is bigger game changer.
Alright, I've already tried to make a prediction only for pole position of Bahrain GP and I need to enter all predictions at once, so probably we won't miss it anyways (changed from last year?) and now, it's only possible to lose our Early Bru Points for changes made after qualifying.

There are only 2 races in March. I think this wouldn't affect you very much as you are going to be able to make prediction before. Smiley
OK than let me think, it would be fine for me even if I miss to make predictions for this two races, if I can continue in rest of the races.

Superbru name: Trofo
Favorite constructor: Aston Martin
Payment: as soon as some money lands in my hot wallet, latest on Sunday, probably sooner. If it is a problem let me know and I will crack open some piggy bank Smiley

And while I am here in another Sportsbet sponsored pool, I will use the opportunity to invite everybody to Sport fanatics league which I am running together with my buddy cryptofrka. There is no excuse to miss this one and better to get in sooner than later. There is no hurry since season 1 started but it will be short one and sign ups are always open. Now is good opportunity to check how it looks if you don't know anything about it.

Hey, lots of familiar faces here. Thanks for the friendly reminder via PM.  Smiley

Even though I have absolutely no idea about the F1, I would still like to participate, haha.

When does F1 start and how many days do I have to transfer the entry fee? I would do it tomorrow when I have access to my wallet, if that's fine.

Frankly, the thing that was carrying me in the pool last year was definitely EBP points. Therefore I will absolutely build my predictions on making them before qualifying sessions in this year too. Red Bull absolutely look stronger than their opponents. However if Ferrari don't make silly mistakes this year just as the last one they can compete with Red Bull.

Hey everyone, thank you for the invite Smiley I might play this but let me decide in a few days, it's not that I don't want to just not sure of what to even do with the lack of knowledge of my F1 lol

Make sure to put your predictions before official qualifying on Saturday so you get 2 EBP-Early Brew Points, you lose them if you don't put your prediction before that time or if you after the qualifying change your picks.

this is really important, since most rounds will bring between 10-13 points, so 2 points are almost 20% per round
maybe you will change your picks after qualifying on Saturday and lost it due to some unexpected result on qualification, but it will be a rare event (as I remember, didn't change it ever after entering on Friday)

will this be Ferrari season after all?
