Nice McLaren drama in the end, I think the team shouldn't have meddled and just pitted and let both drivers race, they'd both have been happy. Now you have two possibly unhappy drivers. But this season has to be something of a record for number of different champions and maiden wins (that's 3 already if I recall correctly?). And we still have many races to go!
Nah, Piastri is without a win and he wouldn't have been happy with 'let them race' method.
I'm all for it, don't get me wrong, and I consider F1 to be primarily an individual sport and secondly a team one. However, the team decided to pit Norris first to protect the team from Hamilton, it was clearly told to both drivers that the order would have to be restored.
From a team perspective, letting Norris win would have been the right call - after all, he's got a theoretical chance of pushing Verstappen for the title. Piastri does not, so I was really surprised by the call.
