I'm going to do another round of weird picks. Absolute stunner of a race last one in terms of placing, and my gambles still didn't pay off. So I'll once more sprinkle some pixie dust and hope (other than Max) some of the unusual suspects get on the podium. Leclerc's got to be due a 2nd again no?

I had a strong belief that Norris will win the pole position and I got him right together with the EBP points,so I have the max starting points before the race.I know my other picks except Norris winning the race which still is not a sure thing are very weird and are not at all near the same order as they will start tomorrow.Nevertheless I am gambling it by leaving everything as is and hoping for the best, this track was difficult enough, now they have made it even more difficult by making the last corner faster and I expect some bad accidents to happen during tomorrow race. For sure the power of Redbull is only in downside,it is only the driver,Max who is showing his skill by winning in both Canada and Imola not with the fastest car.It looks like McLaren is one of the fastest cars now if not the fastest.

We have left qualifying behind and got interesting results. Norris managed to take the pole position from Verstappen in the last seconds of the session. I really thought of putting him on my pole after seeing how close his odds were to Verstappen's just before the qualifying. I wish I tried it.  Sad  I thought Mercedes would have issues and Ferrari would shine but it didn't happen as well. I hope I can get more lucky with my picks during the race.

that is what I’m thinking as well. Maybe LeClerc or Norris again at the top of the standing. I hope that there is an interesting race in Spain and maybe some unexpected whether or something could improve or make the race more entertaining.

I hope to see more of the Mercedes as well when the Qualifying starts and maybe at the top because it’s kind of promising now with their recent race results.

Upgrades for the week, as I told this is the last opportunity for Ferrari to compete.

If they will not be near or ahead of RBR I think they will start working on 2025 car.

Red Bull - x2 performance, x3 c-spec
Ferrari - x6 performance, x1 c-spec
McLaren - NOPE
Mercedes - NOPE
Aston Martin - x3 performance
Alpine - NOPE
Williams - NOPE
VCARB - x4 performance, x2 c-spec
Sauber - x2 performance
Haas -  x1 local load

...///... Bookies don't trust Perez at all anymore and I can't agree with them more.  Smiley

Everything is not as one would like... Perez is the guy from whom no one expects anything, but he achieves a lot... I think that despite everything he already signed for two years, Sainz better season (4th) and has no team, Leclerc and company deserve to be second, third or first, anyone other than Max would be fine Smiley, but PERez is going to finish second or third this year.

I expect Red Bull to step forward in Spain. I mean the racing pace especially. I won't be surprised to see Verstappen having a comfortable victory which he must have really missed lately. As a Leclerc fan, I would really like to see him winning more races this season. For example, why not in Spain?  Grin

There is nice to see Ferrari coming to Spain with some upgrades. But in the same way the other big teams are also said to have brought upgrades here.

Verstappen is given 1.44 for the win which is a usual thing to see. Norris (6.00) and Leclerc (8.50) follow right after. Bookies don't trust Perez at all anymore and I can't agree with them more.  Smiley

Rain is shown on Sunday, but now forecast shows in the morning and it shouldn't be heavy. Things still can change, but it's high chance that race won't be affected. But temperature shouldn't be high on Sunday.
Barcelona usually is quite boring track, but this time I don't really know what to expect.
Yes, let's hope for rain on Sunday because rain will make any race more interesting. Especially in Barcelona, where many fast corners are located, rain could make it very difficult to drive by creating a challenging and interesting race.

It can also happen to have rain a few hours before race start and a drying track will make drivers to go from wet tyres to slick tyres.

Yes for now it shows it like it will rain before noon but I hope we have some rain during the race as well. Even if it rains in some parts and stops it would be enough to make the race more interesting. That was why the Canadian Grand Prix was that enjoyable to be honest.  Smiley
Imagine having the Haas at the early laps of the race become 4th in the standings. It's really amazing what a single parameter of the whole race could happen into. It's something that doesn't happen often but it's amazing when it does.

By the way I have heard Mercedes has plans to sign Kimi Antonelli soon. He is going to be 18 years old when he debuts at the beginning of next season. I'm really excited about his potential.
Betting on a younger driver might be a dual-blade thing because they might get the best or worst result with that. I'm questioning again what will happen to Sainz.

Another race this weekend.
In 2023 we got a RedBull dominating here. This year should be the same.

Looks like for some reason Ferrari is competitive with high temperatures on tracks.

Early weather prediction suggest rain on Sunday.

Good thing that there won't be EURO 24 games on the same time and I won't have to watch at 2 screens Cheesy

I feel the same. This track is currently like a glove for RedBull and maybe it's time for Perez to actually deliver important points ? maybe even a podium ? because RedBull do need points for Constructor Championship and Max cannot carry this title on his own.

Ferrari hopefully will have a car that won't break and also will deliver a great strategy for both qualifiers and also the race.

Ohh it would be amazing to have another race on rain and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a difficult one on rain and anything can happen.  Shocked

It's Race Week meaning the Exclusive F1 Prediction Contest is LIVE @ 🚀 Sportsbet.io 🏎️🇪🇸 Spanish Grand Prix 🇸🏎️ Prediction Contest

Thanks for the next round, I've already submitted my tip, finally Formula 1 again this weekend.

Staying away from Formula 1 for even a year is also risky to be honest. Maybe Sainz might not return with his same competitive nature after that.  Sad  If he signs for a team like Williams he will need to be quite patient. But he can just sign a 1+1 year deal as well. There are Audi rumours at the same time. If they are planning to enter F1 strongly then Sainz can prefer them as of 2026.

Not racing at all for a year is very risky, there are some young talents here and there, and once you take a year off, it will be very difficult to come back, so Williams is certainly the better decision, in my opinion.

looks like Sainz could really end in Williams for the year 2025.
I don't think is a good move by him, it will be such a downgrade moving from Ferrari to Williams.

What do you think is better?

Stay 1 year without racing or racing but risk to be stuck in a  low performing cars for Years?

We are in a race week again after a break. I can't say Spain has one of the most enjoyable tracks. Except the start straight it is really difficult to see overtakes. There is no rain expectation for now too.

It is almost over, Max almost won the title once again.

We will have a decent fight for the second place.
The interesting thing is that RBR may not win the  constructor's title with this Perez.

Taking the title away from Max Verstappen will be very difficult as he already had a big lead at the beginning of the year, the second place will be really interesting and possibly even a three-way fight.

The constructors' title could be tight, but if Max continues like this, he will win it almost alone, Perez will also score a few points, but Perez is far behind the possibilities of RBR this year.

He was saved by the Safety Car during this race otherwise he would not have won the race as Lando said.I think McLaren is the team who has improved the most and most likely they will be the ones to fight hard for the title of constructors together with the drivers Championship, the tracks coming now favor somewhat Redbull yet nothing is decided, anything can happen as Spain is a classic track where mistakes are common occurrence in such a track so it is going to be a promising fight here, the same can be said for Austria and then Silverstone, these three tracks can say a lot about the outcome of the F1 season and of course they can say even more about our pool performance, who is going to take the lead and move away as so far is very tight.

I was already not believing that there would be a different champion this season. But it is still nice to see Verstappen not being able to get easy wins lately.  Grin

It was a huge disappointment for Leclerc in Canada though. Ferrari had big hopes from this track but nobody saw that coming. Perez started to mess up too much by the way. He might not even be able to finish the season behind Verstappen this time. I really don't understand Red Bull about signing a new contract with him. Just because Verstappen is comfortable they don't want to make any changes for now.
