Has anybody seen this? What do you think about it guys?

Pretty similar situation with Max vs Carlos and Max vs Lando.

I'm still not sure why nobody is penalizing Max if he was at the front, and he normally doesn't allow people to overtake easily. If he was at the back he doesn't allow people in front. I agree with @swogerino, he did it on purpose 100%. But you know, he's Max so nobody gives a shit.
What amazes me (OK not really) is that Verstappen should have gotten a 5 second penalty before the incident but the Stewards were... let's just say very undecided Cheesy
And I of course agree with you and buwaytress it is what it is - F1 will do everything to keep him satisfied.

^^ Anyone who thinks the Dutch boy has in fact become matured cheese after all these years just got proof served up that he's really the same old petulant brat deep down who can't stand being beaten.

Sure, other greats were the same, and to me it doesn't factor into how great an athlete is, but yeah, let's just accept he's who he is and move on along. No need to call him out and ask for apologies. He's a shit, but F1 has always liked little shits ;P

Qualifying session went amazing for me. My top 10 was nearly exactly the same with the qualifying results. But later in the race there were so many changes and I missed a huge chance to collect a lot of extra points.  Sad  If only Verstappen didn't defend extremely... He messed up my predictions by doing that.  Tongue

Anyways congrats to all yellow cap winners. Let's move on with the British GP. Silverstone is one of my favourite tracks and a good opportunity for Norris to win a home GP too.

Well...all I can say is that Lando Norris looked like the most likely winner  Shocked

What an incredible race with all the unexpected outcomes. We really see that driving ego and probably super defensive moves and great attacks by Norris and it just really didn’t pan out as it should be. I was looking forward that the end of the race to stay that way, but unfortunately it’s just what happens.

Hoping for another great and entertaining race for the next Grand Prix.

Congrats to notblox1, goodpunt, Koal-84, jayce and darxiaomi for winning the Austrian Grand Prix Yellow Cap @ Superbru

Congrats to Saint-loup for winning the Austrian GP Challenge

Congrats to you too for winning the wooden spoon  Grin, jokes aside the race was very beautiful in the last part of it after the second pit stop.Since most people got exactly 9 points and the yellow cap was 10.5 points this race was catastrophic for points when Verstappen crash into Norris, yes Verstappen intentionally crash into Norris no matter what others say, that is no sportsmanship behavior and I think now he knows that it won't be easy at all to win all the races, since the departure of Adrian Newey this most likely is the last year Redbull dominates or maybe will continue to dominate,in 2025 I doubt they will be dominating this good and in 2026 I expect quite a lot of performance from Audi, they may be newcomers to F1 yet they have a wealth of experience in racing so most likely it is 2026 when we will see great racing again.

We are only 15 minutes away from race start and I do have a feeling that a safety car will emerge after just 1st lap because that first apex on first corner is a tricky one and with Russel behind , no one is really safe  Grin Grin.

I also do expect to see a massive race from Piastri and finish in top 3 and maybe with a bit of luck he can overtake Norris and snatch that 2nd place from him because Norris has the fastest car on track and yet he fails to deliver race after race. ( besides Miami where safety car helped him to win ).  Roll Eyes

Verstappen seems to have woken up from some kind of stupor, eh? I even picked Norries to pole, like swogerino says, some kind of massive effort took that hope away.

Just when I think I get smart (me having Max on pole past races) and switch to Norris (even was toying with Russell), Verstappen kicks me in the groin. Giving up anyway.

The big question guys is that : Can Sergio Perez score a podium anymore ? because if he won't deliver in this home track of RedBull , I'm afraid his mentality to actually have confidence in himself will go downhill a lot and it's not fully his fault because we know for sure this car was not design for him at all but he also needs to realize that Max cannot win constructor championship by himself and McLaren might snatch it if they will perform with both drivers in top 6 most of the remaining races.

I had Lando on pole today and I really thought it to be possible until I saw the Q2 from Verstappen a monster of a lap, same on Q3 so things will be pretty difficult for him on the race as I have him as a winner too,I prefer to lose points and to have fun while fancying the team I am a fan of and since Lando usually drives faster than Piastri I have gone for him.Anyway regarding Perez he is again 7th or 8th don't know at which place he starts yet in here we have a hug DRS line in the big straight, kinda like Spain so most likely we can see some recovery. For the constructors Championship chances are much higher for McLaren to win it rather than Redbull as McLaren drivers are performing always better from race to race in the last couple of races.

We don't have the same Perez anymore mate. It is unfortunate of course because he wasn't like this before. Since the 2nd part of 2023 season he has been very inconsistent. In Austria, he hasn't surprised me so far.  Smiley  I guess the majority of pool participants would keep Perez out of their podium until seeing some progress from him.

Today we left qualifying behind. Verstappen won the pole position easily. For the race I'm wondering whether Norris will make difficulties for him again.

Biggest fail for me is Sergio Perez, he is driving the same car like Verstappen but he is now in fifth place overall, and he finished only on eight in Spanish Grand Prix.
Question is can Norris make a big surprise and overtake Verstappen in first place?

Yeah. I'm not looking to waste any more precious "upset" points on Perez. Sorry buddy! I gotta go more with the flow now. I think way too late to catch up with you guys but I can still go for Yellow Caps. Seems like the story of my life every F1 season.

Norris win odds finally beginning to look attractive now that we're about halfway through the season. I would wait a couple more races through the exact middle line... and then start a bit of staggered martingale. But that's just me haha. Bet against Max and get a payout on a win, or lose everything despite your driver doing really well?

The choices, the choices!

So Norris did get a pretty good result. Pole and fastest lap, yet still the Max effect takes place. What can one do? Leclerc failed to impress -- at least Perez more or less did what was expected, and got me some bonus points, alongside Piastri.

The past season has made Verstappen seem unreachable only because of the car. Many fans were bored last year but now we are seeing proper title fights. First with Ferrari (but they seem to be not doing well if the last two races are to go by) and Red Bull and now with Mclaren and Mercedes seeming to have improved.

With a real competition in the constructor’s championship, Red Bull needs to reconsider what Perez is still doing in that seat with more years under his belt.

I don’t think so. Mclaren’s car is a rocketship but Verstappen is too good. Even if you place Verstappen in a car that is not the fastest, he can still somehow find a gap and win. Norris is not the direct competitor of Verstappen even if he is 2nd now in my opinion. Leclerc has more chance if Ferrari just learns how to manage their car.

I also think the same. Red Bull is always different home. I don't have much expectation from Perez though. But Verstappen will be giving his best for the win certainly.  Smiley  Lots of Dutch fans would also fill the seats to support Verstappen during the weekend.

My weather source is also like:
~

At time the weather prediction looks good for the race at this weekend.

There are always a lot of Dutch fans in Austria and it's not just because of the fans that it's my favourite, Redbull probably has the most data from this track.

But I won't make my prediction until tonight or tomorrow, I'll wait for the practice sessions and the sprint race qualifying.

In reality, one may not obtain the expected results, in fact, even if one is  out the ITM, but in my case I always try to make the predictions with the same spirit as if I were in competition for the big prizes (top3) or not, I believe that the added value of The Freebet + F1 Prediction Contest is a good motivation to play with all your motivation until the end...

And... with so much football we are having, at least Austria plays on Tuesday... hence we will have an audience for this race.   Smiley

It looks very difficult for me to catch up with people at top from now on.  Sad  Because I can't make very good predictions this year and this is throwing me away more from those people. I want to finish the season in top 10 at least. Thankfully there isn't a big gap with there now. I mean the 10th place especially because after that I see there is nearly a 10-point gap at least.

Red Bull would get prepared better for a home race. They would like to achieve a convincing result with both of their drivers. But I also doubt Perez a lot.
