I blame Sargeant (as usual) he ruined my predictions... Norris was absolutely cruising before the 1st safety car.
Some mediocre drivers should stop driving better for their own safety and of course for others too...

Anyway congrats for the yellow cap Saint-loup.

Yeah, congrats Saint-loup!  Smiley  I wish I also put Norris in 2nd place instead of 3rd.  Tongue  I didn't expect Ferrari drivers to be this bad in Canada honestly. Still strategic mistakes by Ferrari...  They gambled with Leclerc's race for no reason while rain was expected. Sainz brought his end by himself though. I was so hopeful from Leclerc that I even put him in 2nd place on Superbru.

At least managing to keep my current place is a consolation. Anyway now we have a one-week break. After that, get ready for 3 races in 3 weeks: Catalunya, Red Bull Ring, Silverstone.  Cool

Maximalism wins the day, but at least we had an exciting race and a rather unique podium finish? Even Hammie must have felt some joy, but he'll be disappointed he didn't get more out of conditions he's supposedly prime in eh?

We are 2 hours away from qualifiers and to be honest I found it very hard to actually pick a winner and I think we are up to another surprise this weekend with another winner. Max and RedBull are falling even further beyond and if Perez won't actually score important points from now on , they will not win constructor championship because Max cannot fight alone.

Prescience. I knew it would be difficult for Perez to get points, but I was expecting a bit more of a fight. Ferrari were out of the way but Alpine surprised, even Yuki almost blew my chances on a bet (I had a No on both RBs to get points) -- said what I thought of Perez earlier but now even his hardest core fans have to give up on this guy.

It was a very exciting race this time, and once again good to see that three different manufacturers can win or drive in the TOP 3 (with Ferrari even 4 manufacturers), my tips were once again not really good, but why put on slicks yesterday when the track is still completely wet? And then there was a technical failure, Ferrari made a lot of mistakes this weekend.

So hard to keep up with pools, I just entered dumb predictons, and twice in a row forgot to check about qualifying results, so twice now missed the best chances to adjust my picks.

Fail of the year is Ferrari. Leclerc even didn't qualify, but was Ferrari the only one who decided to go for dry tires?

Norris words so humble. Hard to find nowadays.

Well done guys who won top places in Canadian Grand Prix.
It was a shitty weather conditions in Canada and that made everything harder for drivers but Norris was so close to win first place, only safety car saved Verstappen.
I was stupid enough to be late for making pole position predictions so I didnt win important points this round, and I predicted correctly first and second place.

Damn those Mercedes cars with their strategy, they got it right in the end and ruined my perfect podium,I had Piastri in 3rd place and I would have gotten a nice 14 points.Still I am happy with 11 points as I didn't lose compared to the top guys and in fact I recovered 0.5 to 1 point against them.

Now we have three race weeks in a row after 2 weeks break and these 3 upcoming races can make a difference for the standings although they will not be decisive as this is the longest ever Formula 1 season.I feel sorry for Norris but as he himself said,Safety Car helped him win in Miami and Safety Car made him lose yesterday.

Pole position for Russel with the same Time of Verstappen, but he set it first so he will start ahead.

Disaster for Ferrari and Perez, but atleast it will be a fun race.

It's amazing. It's a rare occurrence but the last time it happened was in 1997.

It's amazing to see the precise racing that Formula 1 has. Imagine those seconds even divided more into more seconds Shocked It's really hard to fathom how little those margins are even for the lowest-performing team but it's still a wow for me.  Grin

It was one of best qualifying sessions for a while. It's probably almost 30 years when we saw such thing last time - P1 and P2 had absolutely identical lap time and Russel took pole only because he made this time earlier. And Norris just 0.021 seconds behind them, damn.
Both Ferrari failing to get in Q3 and Perez again failing even get into Q2. Well, Checo got his contract extended right on time Smiley.

I think that Perez got it as they at Redbull are sure he is not a threat to Verstappen and opted for him when in the satellite team called RB Visa we are seeing Tsunoda making wonders in the last races and if they at Redbull were true to their tradition, getting the best driver from the satellite team they should have gone with him.Of course they will never do as clashes with Verstappen will be real and not like with Perez so they don't want to risk Verstappen with such move.Personally I would love to see some driver that does not care racing against Verstappen and fighting for the title rather than seeing Perez not making it to Q2 and like he himself said,it was a total disaster this qualifying.

I am thinking about changing picks although I am good with the places I have picked so far,it would be a good race for sure and although last 7 times pole sitter has won I still remember 2012 when Button from last won the race.

Why a big risk ? Verstappen had 17 years old as well when he was placed in an F1 car so I think Antonelli has the necessary talent to actually perform so in my opinion , Mercedes will do a great move by signing him next year. Who can replace Hamilton ? With Max refusing Mercedes , Sainz signing for Audi , there are no other drivers right now with necessary skills for Mercedes so it's better to take a young driver and develop his skills for future plans of Mercedes.

If Mercedes is targeting success in a short time then I see it like a risk. Otherwise there is no problem on bringing a young talent to a big team. It is even very good thinking about the future.  Smiley  Verstappen is a great example for that. We don't know whether Antonelli is as talented as Verstappen yet though. He will need to prove himself in F1 first.

By the way is it guaranteed that Sainz will sign for Audi? The only thing I know of is their interest in bringing him in 2026.

I still went with boring prediction and picked Verstappen pole and race win. Unfortunately, again missed Sportsbet prediction contest by waiting until last minutes to make predictions.
Seems that we will have dry qualifying session. There is some clouds around the track, but it doesn't looks very dark.

I don't know but I have gone for a Verstappen pole and a Norris with Piastri tailing him in the race,I will watch the qualifiers and change accordingly,I don't care anymore losing 2 points of the Early Brew Points if I don't get the pole position right and in this track I am sure we will see a lot of changing positions during the race, this track surely permit it and no one can predict accurately before the qualifying the complete 10 places line up in the points.

Of course problems have arisen for Max and the whole team with so many people leaving the team, that is why I don't believe that much that Max is going to have an easy win tomorrow, the Mercedes powered cars should be somewhat in advantage because it is a super fast track,of course Honda has great top speed too so it should be very interesting.

Hammie doing quite well in final practice. Anyone tempted to change up anything based on the Ps? I know I'm not. Enough of fooling around now and sticking to the odds, yessir. That means Perez not higher than 7th.

They already have Formula E where there are fully electric cars. Can't we just leave these cars be in Formula 1?

F1's been full of changes, it's expected, we get it, but for safety, for watchability, yes and yes. The electric thing doesn't jive with F1. It's a race...

Kimi Antonelli looks like a talented driver. But Mercedes is taking a quite big risk if they are really bringing him next season. They might need to be quite patient for him to become a consistent driver. He is a 17-year old rookie for now. If he makes an impact at least as big as Piastri then it would be a plus for Mercedes of course.

However if I were Mercedes I would prioritize a more experienced driver. Sainz is going to be available, why don't they try to sign him? He is a really ambitious driver and he can make a big contribution.

I am also pro the move to get a talented driver even at such young age.Of course he may not be the best in the race category where it races but you have to include also the team there, the aerodynamics if they all use the same engine,if not then engine difference is another plus.I think that a big team like Mercedes if they give him a great car like Ferrari did with Bearman this year then I am pretty sure that he will be doing just fine.So another plus is that the big team can make you to give out the best version of you and become an even better driver.

As for the race of this weekend,Aston Martin is some years in consecutive that do well in the fast laps of the qualifyings in this specific track.Let's see the qualifying of today, whatever happens this track is a great one when cars can follow each other even better and the DRS after 1 lap is a big plus to this race.
