Well i think now FIA really need to take care about this issue. What issue? The tyre life.
Man, we have no strategy on the race, the compounds are really hard and lasts until the entire race without dropping so much in term of performance.
Verstappen yesterday only pit, because you have to do at least one pit stop by the rules. But also one pit stop its really low, and now that its the normal.
Pit stops and strategy are one of the most beautifull parts of the F1 without them its also more easy for a dominant car to win.

And why not get the Q2 fastest lap tire rule back again. It adds for some interesting tire strategies during quali in anticipation for the start of the race.

I have been hearing about some changes to be made by FIA in the future. But I haven't heard anything about tyre strategies yet. Instead FIA have some plans to reduce the weight of cars by making them smaller at the same time. They are aiming to make races more watchable than ever as we would see many more overtakes in number.
I believe that this is one of the positive steps they can take for the sake of Formula 1. However this means that Red Bull drivers can overtake others even easier than before also.
But even if they dominate the sport at least races can get more enjoyable to watch for us.
Not really... It makes for a boring season. I haven't really paid a lot of attention for F1 as I know it's gonna be another year for Red Bull. What F1 needs is a tough rivalry just like the one we had during 2021 between Verstappen and Hamilton. It brings some spice. Overtakes won't matter if we already know it's another easy win for RBR imho.

Congratulations @rdbase on winning the yellow cap in the pool for this round. You deserve the best. I also managed to climb seven places and I hope to continue achieving more good results. However, it seems that getting it in the long run is almost impossible.

Got my first yellow cap with only the fifth race of the season.
So I am surprised because the user with the name of Lemmings could of had the share of it. They had to only put their predictions in before qualifying, for those two extra early bird points which would of brought them up to the amount I had by the end of the race.
So got over that bump of getting that first cap.

Congratulations for the yellow cap. You deserved it. EBP points are definitely very important especially if we think that the two Red Bull drivers are dominating the season. The important thing this season is to predict the 3rd place. I thought Leclerc would be on podium as I thought it would be rainy. However Ferrari were very bad as a team.

As expected (or as I did anyway), Leclerc didn't have staying power (or Ferrari doesn't I suppose) but he still made points. My last-minute decision to put Tsunoda back in 10th backfired, had I kept in Leclerc instead, probably at least another point to get 16.

Is it just me or F1 getting more and more boring and the as you said, choosing favorites usually pays off. Due to this strict budget constraint, directives have been given from the teams to the drivers, they are racing almost without taking any risks, especially on the street tracks. If Max and Checo had started the race with the same tire strategy, today's winner would most likely have been Checo though. Because it took a lot of wear on Max's tires to climb. He stayed in the air corridor many times. It would be to keep a stable and adequate pace in the fresh air until the lap laps for Checo and to pit at the right time to maintain the advantage and the difference. Just like in Baku. Congrats to rdbase for this week yellow cap and the hoodie.I think that the guys who made 16 points were all to found the correct podium and that gave them 8 points which made them be in the top this week.I am extremely happy for myself though who made 14.5 points but without getting that 4 extra points that the top guys got from the exact podium prediction.I hope to continue the same performance throughout all the season to be able to be like last year always 2nd or 3rd in points classification in every race and I am sure in the end it will pay off with a winning place from this year pool,that is my main objective.
For the moment we are all near each other with a very small difference in points and that is showing that is pool is extra competitive.

it is simply odds, better reward for picking Perez betting-wise, than in Superbru

regarding the race, RB is so dominant this season, it looks as their cars are different breed from other cars, and especially Ferrari and Mercedes look slow compared to them, Alonso had another shine race, he is the only one to keep running with RB duo
with this kind of domination, maybe they could introduce standings without top2 from RB, so Alonso can be on top

Redbull making it 1-2 again and making everyone else look like GP2 cars and it is 5 wins that they do 1-2 to 1-2 I believe.I wonder why should we continue to see this season as this F1 race was very boring and the difference Redbull had on every other single team is devastating,be it Verstappen who won again thanks to his bravery to bring the hard tires up to 45 laps and doing super fast laps with them even after 25 laps and the tires were well consumed,this was what won him the race tonight and Perez could not do anything as Verstappen had a better strategy,anyway it is not this,it is that no other team at all is showing at least some signs of recovery against Redbull,this season reminds me 2009 with Brawn GP.

You are definitely right. However if it weren't for Leclerc's accident I don't think Perez would have taken pole position. Frankly I was a little lucky.

Charles Leclerc doing error after error during this qualifying which honestly with this last error we are seeing some really great starting grid for tomorrow,we see Perez first and Alonso second while Verstappen seventh,in between them a lot of unusual drivers for such high positions.The race tomorrow should not be missed based on this start that we have,we have an Aston Martin second and the other one in 18th place,we have a Russell in 2nd row and Hamilton starting 13th,it looks like it is going to be an awesome hell of a race and Leclerc saying sorry to the team in the radio means nothing for me.
It'll be a really interesting race and really comes down how overtaking will work tomorrow. DRS is shortened a bit here. I'm hoping for Perez to win, he has a real chance again, similar to Saudi Arabia, where he started on pole and Max only on position 14.
Perez just needs to stay in front of Alonso after the start and hope that no Safety Car will occur to maintain a gap to Verstappen, Verstappen will probably overtake a few cars quickly.
A bit disappointed from Lando Norris, McLaren really doesn't look good here. One of the biggest disappointments next to Mercedes. Hamilton only position 13, while Russell on position 6 seemed to be very lucky, not sure if he can defend against Leclerc and Verstappen or against Ocon tomorrow. Alpine looks quick.
Stroll having a bad day, too. While Alonso got 2nd place, Stroll will start on position 18 tomorrow.
