Very true @trofo. They are in perfect form at home and the match is showing it against a weakened Barcelona squad.
It only took them 29' minutes to score their goal and leading in the match.

Can’t believe how bad Barcelona are at the moment. I guess they’ve had so much success over the last 15 or so years & every good thing comes to an end. They are a massive club though, they won’t be in the wilderness for long. There’s been a reliance on Messi for so long, obviously there would be a drop off, he couldn't be running the team there until he was 60. Maybe now he’s gone they can build the team around Pedri or something.

The main target this season is to get CL football for next season & at this stage it looks like even that will be tough. The Barca model wasn’t sustainable, the obscene wages & leveraging of debt, it was going to come crashing down at some point. They will be back though but it might take some time. As a Liverpool fan I have experience in long periods of mediocrity but just like Liverpool they can get back to the top, patience is required though.

For this very reason is why I stayed away from this game. I have Rayo to win in my pick for the La Liga Pool because from what Barcelona showed during the El Clasico over the weekend. Real Madrid dominated them the entire match. Even if the scoreline didn't show it.
With the unbeaten record at home (which I didn't realize while I placed the 2-1 final win), it is hard to go against Rayo Vallecano this match.

I am looking forward to Barca game tonight and I am quite sure it will be another tough game for them. Rayo is in a good form and I expect them to score, Barca should also be good for at least a one goal so my favorite BTTS is in play here.

That's not... nice, or logical. They ought to be harassing Barca's upper echelons, not the coach. Not that I condone physical harassment of any sort, but surely the know the true enemy. And yes, Koeman was the one on that famous Suarez phonecall, but he was doing the dirty job of someone else.

Thanks man! This time I was early into the pick, and damn! I knew Liverpool made a lot of money from Coutinho's contract, and Barca stupidly agreed to it (we've been making money from this dude long after he left Anfield)... but I really hope someone steps in to fix that clause or just get it over with and play him one full game. NOW I know why he hasn't featured often enough or long enough too... embarrassing how they've been treating their players over the years. How does that make a supporter feel like? At least you could watch, I was planning this weekend for over a month ago. Filled in all the work slots. Even made sure I did double shifts for a few weeks in advance so I could make myself free and watch my team.

And to top it off read the report about your team losing. Now I need Atletico to win again this season, better Suarez than Real.

it is a value odd for home win, Atletico is a favorite, despite Sociedad form, and now obvious CL qualification fight with Barca, so their motivation is through the roof, I am sure

regarding El Clasico, I would argue that it was a routine win for Real, and those two late goals brought me exact score in the pool, but burned my ticket for under goals

It wasn't most exciting El Clasico ever, but for me it seems that in recent years almost all games between these teams don't looks similar. It's pity that we had chance to make score 1:1, but got 2:0 on next attack. Agree about Coutinho and Aguero. But it's question about Aguero, how much time he is capable to play.
Atletico - Sociedad sounds interesting. So far Sociedad looking very solid, but Atleti should win tonight.

I think it was a borefest, happy for the 3 points tho, but that was the least threatening Barca i've seen in a long time, but still, I think they looked a lot better with Coutinho on the pitch and then Aguero in the last few minutes. Those two players in much better form with more game time + Pedri on the midfield will provide a lot of impact and positive results for Barcelona this season

Barca for me today too, and that does sound like a silly bet given the much publicised problems and Real having Benzema on his finest form ever.

But I like betting against streaks and I lost the last three with Messi... if Barca's old guard aren't incentivised to perform, or their youngsters to win their first major Clasico, then this will be the last I bet for a long time.

I would be going with Barcelona too, even though I'm not so sure about the expected performance, and I wouldn't be placing any bet on the match either.

Real Madrid aren't perfect too, but with Benzema in his terrific form, I'd hope Koeman has a plan on how to contain him, or at least make him less effective for the team.

Yeah and from what I read Granada should have won against 10 men in the end, but they did ruin my ticket for 12/1 (which I would have preferred to the 9/1 that I eventually won as needed a goal in second half.

One of my favourite teams in seasons past, but not sure where they're headed this time. I do want them to remain in La Liga comfortable.

Real's gotta be the clear favourite here but I'm still holding out for a home win.
