Real - Villareal's the Blackjack pick guys, I've put my money down on this match, sure to be above 15 points heh...

Valencia back to disappointing us, taking away points and not achieving much, while Sevilla's fine form continues... but not sure if stats equalled performance as my eyes were elsewhere in Brentford.

Well, it had to happen, didn't it?
they have most stacked squad and still lost to the worst team in the league. Pathetic. They also ruined my multi of the weekend, they had the lowest odds (1.51), FFS!  Roll Eyes

You and me both. Had two accas, first one lost on this game as the very first leg, with the lowest odds. Also had it on 1.51... though to be fair, my 2nd acca and other legs all started badly so would probably have died without even reaching Liverpool -1.5 which would have lost anyway -- but I really don't like dying so early on accas at all, feel so cheated when the odds were much nicer betting against them.

well, at least we all got the final score wrong in the pool

and yeah, massive game for Real madrid today. Staying 5 points clear of Atletico this early in the season would be fantastic

Well, it had to happen, didn't it? I thought Getafe would do it last week but it was the other bottom team who did, and now the path is clear for Real Madrid to win their game in hand and put themselves in the driving seat for La Liga. I think their momentum should carry them all the way through, the way it's going. And the Madrid clubs only meet in mid-December, so there's plenty of time to put even more distance between themselves.

And yes, I'm totally discounting Barca from the race.

I guess nobody is actually expecting a lot from Barcelona, but betting on them to lose or draw is just another thing entirely, and it's even tougher in the pool where you have to pick just one of three possible outcome...

I would like to say I've avoided placing any bets on Barcelona for quite a while, but it can't be avoided in the pool and the thought of picking against them in the pool is just like wanting to give the other participants a free edge even while you're still competing.
That was one of my better hits this week. I was quite sure Barca game will end in a draw but I expected a scoring one like 1:1 or maybe even 2:2. If Koeman does not get the boot up his arse I am betting against Barcelona in every match. They are totally without confidence at the moment and they need positive shock from bringing in the new coach since they can't change half of the team.

Even coach change is too expensive for them at the moment but I feel like it has became a necessity. Barca had rough patches in the past but they always had the game and were just missing the results. Now they have neither which is totally unacceptable for the club of Barca pedigree. They will also miss F. de Jong in the next game and he was probably their best player so far, maybe only Depay showed more.

Uhm they don't have hopes for LaLiga as Valencia really looks on their level right now and Atl Madrid and Real are over them but they did not crack under pressure yet and they might do in the next games.

I've read on social medias and I did a post on that as fans really hope for a Europe trophy this year and that would be Europe League as UCL can be achieved only by a miracle so bringing Europe League back would motivate fans as some of them are really depressed since Messi left Sad.

When you don't have big expectations, disappointment is smaller. Probably it will be my attitude on Barca games during whole season. Yes, it's still difficult to watch Barca games. If nothing won't change, probably we will say goodbye to spot in Champions league next season and will expierence how it feels to play on Thursdays. But maybe for current Barca it will be better thing than being humiliated by Bayern, PSG and other giants every season.
If Koeman will be sacked, Xavi and Roberto Martinez are mentioned as possible replacement. I would like to see Xavi in Barcelona, but not now definitely. Current Barca is fastest way for young coach to ruin his name.

I don't really know why bookmakers are giving just 1.45 for Barca win.
have a feeling it's gonna be like this for a few more weeks. Barca to win next sunday is at 1.4. I can see people going low on Levante +0.5 hc @2.9,, hell, even +1.50 is worth it @1.7

the H2H in la Liga over the last 2 seasons: 2W barca (2-1 and 1-0, both at the camp nou), 1 draw and 1W Levante.
Honestly, without Frenkie De Jong, their best player, this match is 50/50...

solid friendly reminder, Barca did not won yesterday, but as I saw you had 3:0 for Barca in the pool?
i expected them to bounce back, but they're just shit  Grin

anywho, Cadiz - FC Barcelona...friendly reminder that Barca couldn't beat Cadiz last season (1-1 and 1-2), and that was a much healthier Barcelona 🤔

shitty round for me, a lot of late goals that brought me down, really did not expect Granada to conceive three goals from Sociedad, that brought me down in Sorare as well, since I do believe that Luis Maximiano is one of the best young goalkeepers at the moment

there is another round on weekend, Atletico is playing again with "all loses" team Alaves, Valencia wait for Bilbao, a Barca plays against Levante at home, is it time for a win? Sociedad against Elche seems as easiest pick

Barcelona going to make us lose man points this season they are becoming unpredictable as at the end of the match in a goalless draw between Barcelona and Cadiz.
If they managed to score one goal I would have been up by 4points 3 for correct results +1 for slam
Now it's the third draw for Barcelona, who could not beat Cadiz in the last three games, two draws and one loss.
It was A bad match from the offensive side of Barcelona, and he appeared without fangs and completely helpless in front of the humble Cadiz defense, and if Cadiz was one of the worst teams this season,
A clear confusion in Koeman’s plans was chaos and lack of coordination throughout the team in the match, in addition to the lack of tactical sentences on which the team builds its attacks with a clear defect in the depth of the attack and an exaggerated dependence on penetration from the parties. Koeman still thinks that the team is incomplete and that he suffers from a lack of players, but I do not see anyone who could improve the construction of Barca's playing from the injured players, so are Aguero, Fati and Dembele who will save the club and change its shape overnight if they return to the squad?
Laporta will not find an optimal timing from now to announce the dismissal of Koeman to rectify the situation early and arrange the club and his papers before entering the Atlético match.

Probably there won't be easy games for Barca this season. And game against Cadiz away isn't an exception. I don't really know why bookmakers are giving just 1.45 for Barca win. I'm not so positive about our chances today...
Should be tough for Barca, especially since I have a feeling players are also unhappy and they could (un)intentionally play a bit below their maximum to help Koeman get sacked. Anyway my money today is on Cadiz to score @1.7. Looks like high value odds to me since Cadiz is solid going forward and they scored in both fixtures last season when Barca was much better.

Planning on watching at least first half from the bed to see how it is looking for Barca. Need 1:1 for correct score in the pool, so that is one result that is not happening for sure Smiley

The bookmaker are probably just misleading bettors or there's more to odds than the shape of the team.. Barcelona aren't above average as team right now.. I knew something was literally wrong the odds maker a couple of weeks ago when Bayern Munich were valued at over 2 odds against Barcelona in the CL.

Barcelona are down to 10 men, and it's still currently goalless so, maybe Cadiz might get or draw or perhaps all 3 points.

Another awful round for me. I feel like I will never get correct score, it is tough to even get close ones this season.
I'm not doing better. I'm struggling not only to get exact scores, but even correct outcomes.
BTW, I can't remember any other games when most of players went with 1:1 prediction like in Osasuna - Betis game. And with 10 minutes remaining, score is 1:1.
EDIT So, Betis had to score and screw up things for most of us Cheesy.

i've had some pretty crappy rounds too, the current round is the second one where i've been able to get 10+ pts, rest of the rounds were proper dogsh*t

tbf, teams like Barca and Villareal are not really helping us cos they keep underperforming while some underdogs like Rayo are outperforming everyone else

I expect goals tonight in Madrid, maybe over4.5 or even over5.5, seems as perfect setup, Mallorca is not so defensive and Real could fit into this day full of goals in Spain and Italy

I hope you did put some money on the line for that ? It's 4 goals already at half time with Madrid leading 3 - 1..

yeah, I did put some money, although when saw ease with which Real scored, should have put more, nevertheless, pretty happy with the outcome yesterday
Villarreal also showed solid football, maybe first time this season, and four goals against Elche

and yeah, Valencia was down against Sevilla, three fast goals (one own goal) and it was a mission impossible to catch, two loses in a row, fate must be changed on weekend

On the other hand, games are super entertaining and full of goals. Too bad I did not have time to watch Real yesterday it was stellar performance from whole team.

Pretty pleased with the results, even if I didn't get any exacts, Real remember how to trounce opponents, Celta got their first win, Villareal found their scoring boots too, and even Valencia reminded us not to bet on them!

Still 10 points off the top but I'm cool!

That is my take on Atletico this season as well. It seems like Simeone finally decided to try driving without hand break pulled up and let his attacking players play. Maybe they are conceding more goals but their games are much more watchable and results are also good. I really hope they will continue with this new look, it is sort of embarrassing for La Liga Champion to be totally defense oriented. That maybe passes in Italy but I feel Spanish supporters are spoiled with Barca/Real attacking football domination.

Yeah, I mean, I know he and his team loved their identity, and when they got Suarez it was like an amplification of that. It's great being the underdogs, I know how that feels like, but it's even better to be expected to lose but play like you want to win. I definitely am sure their fans would love them even more playing like this, and yeah, it's the Spanish league -- though now his team isn't Spanish much Wink

It's been a really entertaining 45 minutes from both ends, despite being down by two goal, Mallorca are posing quite a lot of attacking threat.

There surely should be more goals to come in the half.

Atletico Madrid themselves are not being at their usual best, especially defensively, they've conceded almost a goal per fixture so far, and they are nowhere close to playing their toughest fixtures.
Atletico have such big attacking potential with Suarez, Griezmann, Felix and Carasco, but they still struggle to score against underdogs. Seems that under Simeone these things simply can't be different Smiley.
And yeah, you have good point - conceding goals against teams like Getafe or Espanyol isn't good sign.

Yeah, I'd agree that they've got much attacking options than they do defensively, hence the need to switch focus to where their strength lies.

agree, that it is legit, but Getafe is my first pick to get relegated this season, and would skip it for now
Agree about Getafe. For me it's difficult to believe that just 2 seasons ago they were playing in Europa league and even kicked out Ajax. Their squad weren't much better than now and they wrre serious overperforming with their ugly football.
It impressive to say the least, Atletico Madrid last two win in all competitions have had to come at the hardest way, Suarez happened to be the hero today.

three fast goals by Sevilla, one own goal, but great first half and Valencia scored to make it interesting in second half as well
