"Koeman will stay" said FC Barcelona's president earlier today...

well, at least Barca will be the main favorites to win the europa league this season, so that's something to look forward to, am i right?  Grin

Who else is thinking about making the idiot bet on Barca? I actually saw it at over 5/1 at one point, but now more like 45/10. I might end up pulling the trigger closer to the game, but if they let in a goal first, they'll crumble like they have the last few games.
Barca moneyline is just a donation button to the bookie...imo, if you''re feeling confident about Barca, asian handicap 0 or +0.5 is the way to go

Personally I think that this time Griezmann will destroy us.
i forgot about him...Griezmann worldie to win the game?  Shocked  would love to see it

I wonder for how long Koeman would stay even when it's become obvious that's his tactics or so called plan isn't working. I really don't know what to expect from Barcelona so I'm definitely not coming close to the game (bet wise), I'll just be watching with utter disgust for Koeman being on the sideline.

Atletico have not be up and running with their defensive abilities which had been the core component of their success over the years, I'd expect goals at both ends, except of course if Koeman have other plans.

You all know which match I'd be watching if I could. But it's 3 am starting and I have a shift so maybe it's good for my health. No Messi to shake hands with Suarez, I still haven't got over the shock of Barca's downfall.

Who else is thinking about making the idiot bet on Barca?
P.S. I just realised I haven't been playing the special side bets, and I noticed quite a few of you haven't also, so here's my reminder to check out Trofo's ongoing challenge thread;)

Do you ever doubt me betting on my team? Smiley And thanks for the reminder. I will go and put in my picks now. I have so many reminders about so many things it's hard but I should make it a point to not miss out this!

Went for a tight home win on the early game, I know Rayo's been tearing up the league lately but this is my "return to mean" picks. So far so good on the stats at half time -- 3 yellows for the away team, something's got to give. Need to do a little bit better here to improve on Top 5!

@Trofo, seems that only @rdbase decided to go against majority and this time majority were right. Athletic win wasn't easy and Inaki Williams achieved impressive La Liga record with 203 appearances in a row. He haven't missed any single game since 2016 April. Or 4,5 years without missing game for injuries or yellow/red cards. Wow!
i have a feeling Suarez is gonna score a hat-trick or he's gonna be the MVP with goal+assist or something like that...this has to be his match, it's gotta be Suarez the one who puts the final nail in the coffin and koeman finally gets sacked...2-1 Atletico is my pick

btw, latest rumours say that Pirlo could be the next manager lol and this one came out just recently: "Laporta wants Tuchel in 2022"  Roll Eyes source: Mundo Deportivo (spanish newspaper)
Personally I think that this time Griezmann will destroy us.
Tuchel sounds good, but I doubt that he is likely option. I don't see any reasons why successful manager would want to got to current Barca. If Pirlo is an option, I'd rather stay with Koeman lol Cheesy.
Sure Laporta wants Tuchel and I want to win the lottery. Chances are about the same, even though I don't play lottery  Grin Yeaf right, Tuchel is interested to leave one of the top clubs in the world playing in the best league with the budget only surpassed by PSG and maybe City for a club with tons of debt where nothing works as it should playing in the league that is loosing it's major stars. And probably for a quarter of the wages he has now. While he is at it maybe he could also check Guardiola or Klopp, I am sure they are dying for a chance to take control of this Barca.

That Inaki record is incredible, just shows how well prepared he is.

during weekend, we have a lot of matches that could go on any side, and a derby ex-Barca with Barca, where I am expect to see ex-man win over those staying in Barcelona

We have a game tomorrow.
Atletico Bilbao playing home against Alaves.
~snip

yeah, I expect consensus in the pool regarding home win, it will be difference regarding results, from 1:0 to 2:1, maybe someone would put 3:1 and that is it
Bilbao is strong at home, but I would certainly skip betting on this match, due to Friday night and usual surprises at Friday night

Now when we all praised Bilbao here we will have unanimus outcomes in Superbru, here is a good chance for laggers to try and capitalize on upset  Grin

Some great games during weekend. I am also expecting  atletico to win over Barca. Much better form at the moment. Quite possibly we will see goals from both Suarez and Griezmann.

We have a game tomorrow.
Atletico Bilbao playing home against Alaves.
The game starts in less then 20hrs from now so get your predictions in.
Alaves just enjoyed their first points that came against Atletico Madrid with a win while bilbao have now 10 points from 7 game.
Scoring 6 in them and conceded 4.
For this match it feels like it's going to be a home win for Bilbao and I don’t think we are going to see a lot of goals here as Alaves looking to get a draw from this match.
So more likely to be 1-0 or 2-0.

Isn't it nice to have Champions League for a little while and enjoy some nice break from the bad news of La Liga?

Anyway, Seeing Barca tonight being at equal odds or even worse than Benfica tells you everything you need to know about what people think of our chances.

Real Madrid put out a bad showing last night, can Barca and Villareal take crucial away wins?

it is off-topic, related to sorare game, as per points earned per round

I didn't get what you mean by road to tier1 player reward??

it is off-topic, related to sorare game, as per points earned per round
in a league (D4 global) where I set my best team (that includes Maximiano), this week top 54th positions earn tier1 player (which is a good player, that is a usual started, but not a star, valued at $300-$600 or more if from best clubs), and between 54th to 200th is tier2 player (not a starter, but usually a substitute (valued between $100-$300), while between 201 and 600th is tier3 player (substitute/reserve, valued between $60-$100)

with clean sheet for Maximiano, I would enter top50 (and get tier1), and without it will be around 200, probably tier3 - almost same situation as last Monday, where Barca scored in last minutes, to deny clean sheet for Maximiano, and I end up 205th position, instead getting tier2

saying that Aspas missed penalty is diminishing Maximiano effort to save his goal, and that was a great save for him
with that penalty saved by Maximiano, I was on a road to tier1 player reward on sorare, but Celta scored in overtime, and send me back to tier3 reward, which is also good, but tier1 would be much better

Sorry I didn't mean to do that, I was just highlighting how difficult it is for Aspas to get back to his scoring ways, and that missing a penalty (or getting it saved if we want to credit Maximiano) is only going to affect his psychology more.

Granada and Celta Vigo both are playing way out of their usual form, even Aspas missed a penalty so he must be so angry at himself.

nevertheless, great play by Luis last night, can't wait to see him on Portugal national team goal

overall, shitty round in the pool, but had Celta to win, which brings slam point as well

I think that crypto business sponsorship in sports already become such regular thing that I'm not even surprised about it anymore. Besides all crypto sportsbooks, most frequently I see Crypto.com and Bitci.com ads. And as you said, it's not just football, it's also F1, UFC, basketball and other sports.
Yeah, Monday's game wasn't most exciting, but Celta managed to win after very late Denis Suarez goal. While Granada have very poor start of season, maybe not as bad as Getafe, but still very poor. And just last season they played solid both in La Liga and Europa league...

Crypto.com is an exchange I've always thought was a scam actually, but they seem to have overcome their old problems (they were called Monaco when they did their ICO and man they were like a big scam like every other project). But they bought crypto.com domain, and rebranded and all the old Monaco nonsense faded away. I believe they are one of the most successful forgotten scams in crypto, now they even got American basketball sponsorship!

Just watching Celta game and I saw another bitcoin connected service marketing on the pitch. I believe it was called bit2me. Crypto projects have started targeting sports sponsorships more and more. It all started with Sportsbet - Watford deal, and now just one season later we already have many more. It is also spreading on other sports as well.

Quite boring game by the way, switching back to PL

I will just bet against Barcelona today as this team really doesn't deserve to be on the podium right now as they produce almost 0 football but you can't blame them when this team worked in a system where Messi was vital piece for success.

Levante never had love for Barcelona as they have some friendship with Real Madrid so I'm expecting full force from Levante in order to secure at least a draw.

I fully agree with you and yes we won 3 goals to none yesterday but you are still correct. Is it ironic we didn't have Koeman at the game and they played better? I know it's only Levante but it has been a long wait of 10 months for our boy Ansu Fati to come back and play. Honestly at the point we are at now I was just happy to have him back.

And I'd also agree with your paragraph too, they should just let Koeman go already... It's not all hopes lost for the club tbh, Aguero would surely form quite an attacking threat with Fati and Depay, and Coutihno wasn't bad today too, keeping these players fit would just be the major hurdle imo.

Aguero I think a great finisher but he still needs the supply lines and this is when I hope Countinho finds his form and magic that we paid him for.

Ansu Fati returning to field was another positive thing to take home, he looked as though he's not been out for almost year without football.

Not the best week for me, so many upsets and unexpected results left me with just 4.5 points so far.
Week started with strange results but then continued with rather expected ones. It is looking significantly better for most of us after Barca, Sociedad and Rayo wins. Too bad I did not manage to snatch at least one more correct score from these three matches.

I am gonna be a little toxic and say Barca won this easy because Koeman was not on the bench Smiley Fati returning should help them significantly in the attack. Not cool to depend on Depay so much, especially since he just came to the club. Looking forward to see how Aguero looks on pitch after he finally gets back from injury.

Yes, the week is getting to a really interesting end for me quite unbelievably , I've been able to rack points from the last 3 games and I really could have easily snatched 3 points from at least 2 of them though, but seem Betis is going to hand me what would be my second exact point of the round, but I'm a bit about the 7 additional minutes being given in the games even though it's understandable due to series of injuries interruptions.

first spoon for me, as it looks at the moment, Rayo win is far from expected from my side, they are on fire certainly, but that will probably stop, since I do not see them this good
was outside whole day, so did not watched football at all, but Barca win and all comments looks that they were really confident in their play

left tonight is Betis, and almost all contestant in the pool agree about home, it is just goal matters, where nobody expects a lot, will be interesting to see Getafe win
