Agree with pools. I don't bet like most people but I usually come away with nett wins (my record becomes terrible with unplanned tournament settings) season after season. Pools are far more erratic and have no weight system to show true value of correct picks. 2 seasons ago I was in top 10 for all pools for a really long time, last season absolute rubbish in all pools.

Too early to say about this season heh heh.

It doesn't even begin to explain how bad I was in EPL pool last season -- rock bottom until maybe final 10 games (below me were only people who'd stopped playing!).

Agreed, I suck at pools. I do them too fast, without even checking team's form and suspension/injuries and without taking into account whether they have european games they need to rotate because of etc.
Betting's different, I check everything for the few matches I bet on during that day.

Also - getting the correct results is fully luck-based and carries too much weight in total placements.

I picked Sevilla to lose first then changed it to Sevilla to win. Bad choice.
Lost money in gambling too.
When they were down I went for Sevilla to win or draw. while it was 1 - 1 it went all well. Several times I thought to cash out but for some unknown reason I was confident that nothing is going to happen Sevilla will either score one more or the score will stay as it was then.

3 lose in a row. Next time I will just play rock paper scissors and make my pick based on the result.

But here is the big difference, this pool has absolutely no similarities with gambling. I often do really well at gambling and terrible in prediction pools. For instance one of my favorite plays is both to score and I had it yesterday on Brighton - West Ham, that tip passed without problems and was paying a lot more than Brighton win. In PL pool I had 3:2 for Brighton or something like that.

Will probably take BTS on Barca today, so you know what to avoid.

What do you mean? I had Cadiz winning 1-0 and that goal ruined my chances to get the correct score. It looks like my luck is running out. It was good in the first season if the BSFL, but this season I'm not that good in BSFL or here. But hey, at least it's more fun to track the scores

Real Madrid managed to secure a victory tonight against the home team, thanks to a goal by Bellingham. I believe Vinicius's absence from playing for a long period will put Madrid in a difficult situation, and I'm not sure if his injury is serious or not. Real Sociedad's goalless draw against Las Palmas today was a miracle for me because I had predicted a 1-1 score. However, just ten minutes before the match started, I changed the result in favor of Real Sociedad. Despite that, I'm happy with the 1.5 points I gained thanks to Madrid.

was thinking to put a draw, but eventually decided to go with Sociedad win, and it ended-up being one-sided match with Las Palmas doing all the work, but missed on final touch and scoring

Celta vs Real will be also interesting, most going with Real, but Celta is always tough to play in Vigo, and started really bad
edit: Celta just scored 1:0, 3rd minute (no, it is not a goal, VAR to the rescue)

yeah, they are pretty unbelievable, but that is what it is
winning Europa league even when they can't win single match in La Liga, then play head-to-head against City, and they allow 4 goals against Alaves

but what is looking good so far is Valencia at position 3, Osasuna at home is next, it is an opportunity to continue winning strike, and maybe if Rayo and Real don't win 3rd match, be alone on top
