I'm supposed to be actually pretty decent in La Liga, considering I follow this league the most, but time and again my points don't match even my own low expectations.

How I finished in 6th in WC pool is mysterious to me when I can't even get middle of table for a league I follow.

Don't know why Superbru dashboard on La Liga pool is still stuck like before World Cup break, but I got relief when I saw actual table where I'm slightly above 16th place.

I might have exaggerated the reality with my statement honestly, but that's only because of how close I knew the players below me are, I expected that some of them would have gotten a number of points with those first two results, and Atletico Madrid was seeming to be another wrong pick but they later gave me an exact score with their 2-0 win, and when I check the rankings most users have just 6 points so far, so maybe it's not been a bad start for me anyways.

Real Madrid facing Valladolid later today along with some other fixtures, with an injury-free squad, I think Real Madrid at 1.5+ Odds is an actual steal, I might just go for Real Madrid to win and BTTS in Sevilla vs Celta Vigo where I expected goals at both ends, on a single betslip.

Opening game of round was great, my BTTS bet passed easy, butlater games were so disappointing and it burned my profit. I had 2:0 on Atletico, but literally few minutes before the game I changed it to 3:0. Another proof that such changes isn't good idea Cheesy

If it's difficult to expect something exciting from Atletico, even against Elche, then I had bit bigger expectations from Betis - Athletic game.

Its really strange to see Sevilla in the relegation zone, its like for ton of years they were on the top 7 in the league and a sure thing in the Europa League.

I think we can see a good comeback from them, but i dont know if that can be enought to reach the european spots.

I remember in one of the WC threads people were asking why Bono isn't considered for best goalie and as great as he did for Morocco... you cannot play 5/6 games and then say you're awesome. Can't believe I missed this one too, you're absolutely spot on for the game of the matchweek! Sevilla is almost 4x which really reflects the situation they're in now in the table, fighting for survival and coming down hard from such a terrible season. And yet it seems like a great bet considering they are meeting Celta only 1 spot above them.

Bounou really let me down in the World Cup quiz, I picked him every time he made the quiz and then he started letting in goals so funny he is always playing with so many defenders in front of him injured lol. Let's see how he does tomorrow.

judging by friendlies, Betis is far from top form, and Bilbao outscored all teams on friendlies
does not have to mean anything, and Betis has 5/7 home wins, but Bilbao has good season as well

Elche or no Elche , ATL.Madrid are not having a great year overall so maybe Elche can indeed speculate this situation and get a positive result even if it's very hard to achieve a victory vs ATL.Madrid so maybe a draw could be happening.

I'm more curious if Betis is still in a great shape and they will get those 3 points from Bilbao and get that 3rd place back in LaLiga.

Damn, good thing you posted that here, totally forgot that Spanish league starts early this season due to congested schedule. They are not usually even thinking about restart before New Year started and everybody gets back from skiing trips

This season we are spoiled for good football. I am thinking this winter World Cup is actually a good thing, we had high quality football all the time. Problems will probably start for some teams towards the end of the season when fatigue kicks in.

Yeah

World Cup really screwed with our brains, but in a good way. I definitely thought it was a good idea to do it right from the suggestion because of the high quality we can watch in clubs, with all the rest in between for most teams. End of season fatigue is better than mid season and end season fatigue I think!!

Yes i hope , they (FIFA) dont make again a World Cup in November December time, the worst league its the Bundelisga, they have the last match in mid November and the next one is in mid january for troubles with winter like always, its so much time without playing real level football.

I cant wait to this one to start and can have fun again.

If that rankig would be really important, then yeah, changes would be needed. But now it doesn't matter in general, same like FIFA national team ranking. It's only important for qualifying stages, seeding of clubs and etc..
But yeah, it looks a bit strange when clubs who haven't won CL like PSG and City is above Real.

Not very important detail - Valencia won't have to go anywhere because Villarreal is playing their home games at Levante stadium this season because of their stadium reconstruction. It should be interesting game.

glad to have La Liga back, Valencia is heading to nearby ceramic kingdom of Villareal to play last match in this year, not ideal time to watch the match, but if we end up winning there, it would be a great way to finish this year and open possibility for Europe competition next season

I think football lovers will need some time to concentrate on the national leagues again. By the way, don't UEFA need to make an update in their club ranking criteria? That was way too hard on him man, haha. The news took every one unaware, everyone thought the reason Benzema didn't play the world is because of injuries. From the announcement it seems their is a different story which no one knows about it. I think it is not the right time for Benzema to retire ,it is too early. The fact that Benzema and Deschamps have a bad relationship has long been known, but I would like to believe that when Deschamps refused the services of Benzema, he did it with good intentions and not settling personal scores.
