Despite looking rather not so complete as a team, it is actually very commendable how Barcelona have been defensively even when under immense pressure for majority of some games, they managed to stay well disciplined and organized, it's just very unfortunate to have exited the UCL early this season, it would have been a joy to watch them in knockout rounds, which commences this midweek.

There is no team in the top five leagues in Europe with a better goal scored to goal conceded ratio, or even an equal or lesser amount of goals conceded than Barcelona, while still looking far from being perfect.

I made the gravest mistake in the pool today, by picking Villarreal to win 2-0 against Barcelona, it clearly was a mistake, even in our worse days, I wouldn't have picked Villarreal over Barcelona, but there is no point crying over spilled milk now, I guess.

In the end Villarreal dominated, but there was lot of confidence that Barca will not concede. While in previous seasons, most likely that they would conceded in such game. +11 already with Real yet to play this round game.
Atletico win against Celta goes against logic because Celta played much better, especially after Savic got red card. It's unbeleavable how they didn't managed to score with all moments that they had.
Valencia suffered already 4th loss in a row and now they're in relegation zone. In the beginning of game Mestalla stadium was half empty, fans went to their seats only after 20 minutes as they made protest against club owner Lim.

Did badly in all my accas today, generally thanks to results in EPL and Serie A that didn't go my way. Sevilla would have been my replacement in those but would not have helped anyway since I would have needed more than one game.

So Sevilla pull out one game clear of danger zone. Time to start piling bets on them or?

Getting dire for Valencia, though, unless they score a quick one soon.

regarding Valencia, we officially entered relegation zone, team is on a really low level, and nothing good to be expected against Bilbao, match can go in either direction, but there should not be goals, one as decider, or goalless draw, at least I see it that way, and it started as that, playing in the middle

So I see most of us got to underestimate Cadiz yesterday, is it time to underestimate Sevilla also? Odds are as usual with them today so it seems like nothing changes regarding general estimation of them but Valencia on the other hand are almost same odds to win as Athletic, so I guess this is where form can influence odds.

Something no pool or competition on this forum ever had. Really curious how that one will look, especially in the future if/when we have full 3 leagues with 20 players each. At that point only way to enter will be 3 places in third league and 3 people will be out for season without guarantees they will ever have a space in competition again.

Should be super fun and competitive.

There was 1 very good thing the gambling forum never had that the World Cup contest introduced, which was a sort of interactive H2H contest, based not just on gambling but on skill/knowledge. The "problem" with all gambling contests is always wager amounts, which sometimes I can win, but usually you are never going to win when one whale has 1 BTC to make mistakes with and you have 10x less

And now, I see the other thing introduced is LONG TERM interest. Even with the pools, it's all over after 1 season and everyone starts with blank.

This time, promotion and relegation means you MUST be consistent, so it will attract the most serious players. I agree that the threat of never getting a spot again is very special

There will be a lot of disappointment though I wonder how to handle that lol

Well that was such a relief. I know Sevilla are always going to be tough so to see us get 3 goals plus keep a clean sheet is a big improvement, but of course I understand that we should expect more close games, this time it seemed we were not only able to hold out but sustain pressure to get 3 second half goals!

But as Xavi said, at this time of season with intensive calendar getting 3 points is most important thing, rather than trying to score as many goals possible. So, we can expect another game with 1:0 score, but so far in 2nd half Barca struggle.

Elche win had to happen sooner or later, but it wasn't easy to expect that they will do it against Villarreal. But it was deserved.
Probably worst round in betting for me. Backed Villarreal, Betis and Real Sociedad. BTW, wtf Betis 3:4 Celta, that's crazy.
I don't even talk about Real loss, but my money wasn't there and it's great result for Barca. Atletico draw with Getafe probably is least surprising thing last round.
