Just watching Barca against Osasuna and it doesn't look good. In 5 minutes I have seen really poor unnecessary tackle from Araujo that could have resulted with penalty for Osasuna and then Barca youngster Fermin defending Osasuna goal better then their own players.

My bet is as always on both to score, looking good even if it is still 0:0 in min 30. Don't see this Barca keeping a clean sheet.

Xavi joins Sven and Klopp in announcing retirements and stepping down.

Sven gets applause, plaudits, tributes because he has less than a year to live. Klopp gets it all because he says goodbye and is well loved anyway. But poor Xavi, announcing his and instead of asking him aboutall the details of why, he gets ridiculed and shat on.

Guys dragged you out of misery, made you win and improved El Clasico stats. And still he is too shit.

Fk football man.
Xavi arrived to Barca when club was in deep shit. Under Koeman club reached bottom and future looked so dark with all financial problems. Xavi stabilised everything, gave hope and even won La Liga. We have great new generation from La Masia, I hope that club won't turn into comedy like MU.
This season isn't going as planned, seems that Xavi failed to handle pressure and probably some changes is needed. But I hope that one day he will return to club.

Barcelona fans have already lost all the trust they had in the club before Xavi's arrival, and Xavi appointment was linking bridge that brought the fans and the club back together, Xavi have tried his best in my opinion and any coach would have faced similar situation, I mean when you your hand tied over transfer policies and you can't bring the necessary players you think the team needs rather the club keeps scouting for nothing but free agents and very your lads that they'll not be having a good contract for because of the desire of such players to play for a club like Barcelona.

Now. It's going to take long than expected for the team to get back on its two feet once Xavi leaves, you'll have the fans getting rebellious over the slightest of poor actions or inactions, Xavi leaving the club is lose lose situation for Barcelona.

4th of Villarreal is best summary of Barca defense this season - lack of communication between players, lack of confidence, bad decisions and everything just in few seconds.

it is already viral
lack of communication, but also does looks that players were not motivated enough

Unfortunately for you, football didn't care.

can't say that I am sorry about bet, Almeria did their part, trying, but wasn't meant to be
Alaves keeper was working full time last night
seems that Almeria can say farewell to La Liga already

What a match between Barca and Villarreal, First half was a bit slow but then it really opened after Villarreal scored second goal early in second half. Poised at 3:3 at the moment I am writing this and deep into extra time but I wouldn't be surprised if we see some more drama and another goal here.
Barca conceding 5 goals against Villarreal at Camp Nou Estadi de Montjuïc, in what reality we are living... Seems that Barca started to play when they were down 0:2 and their asses were already burning. But c'mon, making such comeback and still losing game, I don't even know what to say. 4th of Villarreal is best summary of Barca defense this season - lack of communication between players, lack of confidence, bad decisions and everything just in few seconds.
Not sure about Xavi future. But it's not ok when manager more talks about referees in Real game than focusing on problems in his own team.

in the shadow of more entertaining matches, Almeria just started their fight for a first win this season
and I believe they can do it tonight, against Alaves, although being down from the start, after good counter attack

good thing that I didn't catch it before start, so now can chase it on @5.9 to win, which is value, no matter what
last few matches showed they are improving their form a lot

I would have thought you made a good bet, I didn't watch but you only need to show their last games to agree with your assessment of big value.

Unfortunately for you, football didn't care.

Fortunately for me, I wasn't even awake to bet!

If this goes on like this rate, Las Palmas + Villareal multi looks tempting Tongue

Well that's it, no Clasico in Copa del Rey, not even Girona made it, so we potentially have some really surprising winner. But I don't feel bad. We need to focus on La Liga, fix our home, we are just not doing ourselves justice with the recent performances.

Napoli is the next hurdle, I doubt we go far even if we beat them, but well done to Athletic and Mallorca, may Sevilla be next to go out!

Even though I couldn't win the yellow cap this week it was a good round for me. And I have risen to 3rd place. This season I have found many chances to watch Barcelona and I don't trust them anymore. I can't forget about especially Barcelona's having difficulties against even the last placed team in the league Almeria. I think that their chance against Napoli in the Champions League is low as well.

Great week for you Smiley

Well to be fair Real really needed Bellingham to get them out of Almeria alive too lol. We also needed a hattrick last night to get out of the Betis nightmare but I think we all agree that was way tougher to do.

Girona marches on toward the title I wish them all the best. Barca needs the cup, Champions League has too many obstacles but of course I hope for far progress.

We were close from bigger uspet this season. Almeria were leading 2:0 against Real at Santagio Bernabeu, but game ended 2:2, Real made big comeback. VAR really helped for Real today, like when one of Almeria's goal was cancelled because of of foul. Almeria is still without a win - feel sad for them, draw with Girona last week and great game with Real, but they take just 1 point from these games and stay deep last.

Almeria deserved more than a lose from Real yesterday
they were pretty good, and if they continue like this, maybe there is a chance for them to survive
actually, one of their players said after the match the refereeing was far from fair, and both penalty and Vinicius hand goal were at least strained

but Girona surprised me more, expected them to float against Sevilla, and early goal by Sevilla almost gave me a hand, but Dovbyk 6 minutes hat-trick and five goals by Girona in total are really something, they are not stopping this season

Looks that we have goal of the season in La Liga. Jesus Areso from Osasuna scored crazy goal from almost 0° angle :

Amazing goal and I love this commentary  Grin
I think nobody expected he was going to score from that position.

Girona is not joking this season, they demolished Sevilla with 5 goals and they are back on top in La Liga.
I am not sure who is going to win La Liga but Real Madrid is my favorite if they can balance it with Champions League.
This was interesting round with lot of goals, but I am still having issues to move up the table  Tongue

And this goal let Osasuna to win game 3:2 against Getafe.

Next is Betis - Barca, no chance that this game would end same way like when these teams met in beginning of season and Barca won 5:0.

Valencia is really kicking some asses in La Liga, and they are ruining my predictions again  Shocked
They managed to beat Athletic Bilbao at home and now they are seriously close to one of the spots for European competitions.
Good to see Valencia is back, though it cost me points on Superbru. Probably time to remove them from my betting blacklist.

I am hoping for better results in tomorrow matches, but this weekend was not good for me.
Interesting to see how Barcelona will play against Betis.

Tough, casper, really tough. Feel for you honestly.

all changed today, didn't expect it, but we won over Bilbao, that is in great form
Hugo Duro is becoming a great forward, day by day
and Giorgi is in form keeper, just could not make it against Celta

this brought us on level with Sociedad to fight for Europe spot, it was a settle spot when missing CL some years ago, but now we have to bounce to Europe spot first, CL is so far away

Tough, casper, really tough. Feel for you honestly. Needed a pen and still allowed another goal. And this from an equally troubled Celta who didn't even need to play Aspas.

Amid all that, news circling around Xavi's position. As usual, can't stick by a coach who got your identity back and title back. Football is so cruel to managers, less so to the collective inability of players to perform.

Is Atleti back?

but way to go for Valencia, 1:4 at Cadiz, third win in a row, and 3-points from Europe spot, Baraja is making waves, let's keep it that way (now Celta will reset us in CDR, after I raised hopes)

tried to jinx it, but doesn't help
Valencia is down 0:2 in cup after 20 minutes, and will be a really tough one to come back against Celta

can't believe how easy we let those two goals
still 60 minutes to go, hopefully, we will use it

edit: Pepelu from penalty spot 1:2

Damn, who could have thought that Girona wil drop points against Almeria - worst team in league which still haven't won any games. Highest scoring La Liga team against worst defense in league and game ends 0:0. They can't waste points in such way if they're really dreaming about La Liga title.
~snip

would say that Almeria is worst team, but have best goalkeeper, but my favorite keeper didn't do much in this outcome, Almeria was a way better team on the pitch, and deserved to win this, if I may say it
nevertheless, clean sheet for Maximiano, and he is looking better and better after lost season in Lazio, and lining mistakes in first matches at Almeria
maybe Almeria can even fight it out with other relegation fodders, two wins in a row could change a lot for them
