As for Atletico, I literally wrote the same thing yesterday - they are in the title race, that's a fact. And as a Real Madrid fan, this fact causes me some concern, since in personal meetings, Atletico often takes 4 points out of 6 from Real.

Thanks man, unfortunately I went with Monaco to win against Arsenal (I know, how dumb can I be) and then I put in some Turkish delights for accas but neither Gala nor Fener could help me out. Boo.
Atletico stringed together 10 consecutive wins now. Never really been a fan of Simeone's style but you have to say, it does serve up potentially more exciting title pushes than Barca or Real. Could be a lot of positions shifting by the time the next Madrid derby happens in Feb, though. Time for Mbappe to heal, Bellingham to get better and better, etc.

^^ These xG numbers (I'm not a stats person but I probably look at these the most) are only meaningful is you also count xGA (goals allowed), and then somehow factor in the difficulty of the opposition.
That said, I have yet to properly watch Barca this season but I must say I have never failed to find Lamine entertaining (plus I really like his character, which is somehow always important to me in a football player).

After all, 5:1 Barca win isn't something what we expected. 1st half was tough, but in 2nd we saw total dominance. Not often you can see xG almost 5. It shows how awful Mallorca defense was tonight. And it's strange, because until this game Mallorca were decent in defense.
Best part of this game that we didn't even needed Lewandowski and he got rare chance to rest a bit.

Damn, didn't even see the result until now. I was thinking what are you writing about and then I check and I see they managed to lose against Las Palmas at home. Really unexpected despite all the players missing. Barca should have done more while Real is in the slums, they will get better sooner than later.
Ya Flick was right when he said 3 games ago no way they are title favorites. Real stutters, all teams do. The problem is when they get back on track they are unstoppable and if we keep dropping points like this, we are not going to be even close in February.
Trust me even in Champions League they are not worried. 24th means nothing because its just an extra playoff game, which they'll win. Then Vini and everyone get fit and its all over for everyone.

Hmm... believe it or not, I was just thinking today that Liverpool should play Real with their second team to be as ready as possible to play City and give them a knockout blow. I don't think City can make up for the 11 points deficit. Liverpool have their biggest Premier League game of the season right now, if there's anyone sensible there they'll be focusing on the City game rather than the Real game. So I don't think Liverpool will distract Real Madrid from La Liga.

And you know what. Slot is just the kind of manager who would do this. Klopp will IIRC always play his best team available against Real, no matter what. But Slot is the real Football Manager we are all, who would only play for maximum optimal performance.

I also say this - if a football player from whom an agent receives money loses his health = the agent loses money. This is literally what I'm talking about - a footballer and his parents/agent have one single asset and they treat this asset extremely carelessly. I see rare exceptions - for example Mbappe's mother, who squeezes the maximum amount of money out of the "Mbappe" brand and defends his interests.
This is classic example of that old story about the Goose that laid the Golden eggs.
