Well, if only all games are like this when you are in a dry patch eh? Valencia outplaying Real. Then super Bellingham misses a penalty (leave Mbappe on PKs, please). Then Mbappe offside goal chalked off. Then Vini sent off (super soft drama from Stole for me but ref didn't have a choice. Might actually help them to solve their Mbappe problem to be honest). Modric starts the clutch "save the day" mode. 9 minutes injury time, and that's all they needed. After such a great game, Valencia gave it away against ten men. And it all started with such a friendly atmosphere Valencia thanking their visitors for the flood assistance.

Yeah, reading about all the Barca financial issues are a big headache and sadness for us for years. Selling our souls for 20 seasons, all our deals are taking money from the future and spending it now. I just prefer to break down now, and get sustainable. They are acting like teenager kids out of school getting 10 credit cards to wear the latest Nike.
Its so scary to see what happens in 5 or even 10 years.

Don't even read the articles, just the headlines but I can't imagine how serious club can buy a player without being certain they can register him to play for them.
Yeah, whole this situation looks ridiculous. But that happens when club still have big goals, despite debts and they need players like Olmo to achieve, you can't live with academy players only. But way how they are solving these issues doesn't looks good for club future. Like previously they sold big part of future income from TV rights, now they're going to sell rights to VIP seating at Camp Nou for upcoming 20 years. That's desperate moves without looking in future.And at the same time they're making stadium reconstruction for 1.6 billion...
Barcelona is one of the giants, and it generates a lot of money. I really can't understand how they are not able to better handle this financial crisis. They are spending 2/3 of what Real spends on wages and just a bit more than Atletico. That should be manageable by a club of Barcelona standards.
You will never guess who is the 4th club in that order. I know I was surprised.

There is news that Dani Olmo is at risk to leave Barcelona at the end of this year for no transfer fee and there are rumors that his agent is already talking to a club in Manchester since he has been seen there. Could be coincidence, but he is either talking to City or to United or to both.

As far as I remember I think this is not the first time that Barcelona has done this (you might remember the Lewandowski drama), but then I think that perhaps the media is cooking it hotter than it is because the headline sells pretty well I assume when it is about Barcelona being insolvent and newly purchased players can't even be registered. Maybe there is some truth to that, but maybe not. I think Barcelona knows beforehand that things will go well eventually. Otherwise, if it really becomes true once, it would be quite a spectacular disaster if one of the most popular clubs in the world signs a player but can't register it for financial reasons, but I think these clubs can never go broke. The talk about Barcelona being broke is, I don't know, going for a decade?

No, it's not deserved, that was huge theft from Atletico. For you who haven't saw game I will post two numbers - Barcelona xG 2.59 vs 0.26 from Atletico. It summarizes game very well how many chances we wasted again and how good Oblak was. And that Atletico goal on last minute is probably most typical thing in Simeone era.
We're actually 3rd now in league, while being above Real in Champions league isn't indicator of something, it's more about how Real performed in some games.

Didn't know about that stat, but somehow, numbers even out I guess when it comes to expected goals. But I can still blame us for not converting, and we know Atletico plays like that, we kinda allowed it in the end, and our high line is especially tricky with Atletico. Oh well.

So hard to swallow this honestly, and they are on top with still one game in hand so it could end up being much worse later on.
But if anybody asked us before the season start, say, we're number 2 in December, but above Real, and in CL also number 2 and way above Real?? With Lewandowski top scorer in both??
We would all take it 100%!
