I dont know what happen to Girona, seems like they run out of steem, or the last two loses are doing so much damage at the interior of the team.

Barcelona destroy Villarreal with so much ease, i was not expecting that at all. Real Madid, makes a acomeback look so easy, with 4 goals in the second half like nothing, well first time showing the super team they have.

And Sevilla.... is gonna be another bad season it seems.
It would be huge surprise if Girona would continue to perform like they did last season. Especially after selling one of key players Dovbyk. They're still looks capable to fight for spot in UEFA cups, though, not Top 4 and Champions league.
That moment when such Barca win doesn't gives much joy. It's all about Ter Stegen who is out fir whole season most likely. It will be very difficult time, Inaki Pena doesn't looks confident to be 1st goalkeeper.

Real Madrid drop points again today! Big news Tongue

Finally, I had a good round of the LaLiga pool. I have managed to get 22 points in round 5. KTChampions have also got the same points like me. BTW, who is the actual yellow cap winner of round 5? I can see the yellow cap beside my name when I'm checking the round 5 results only. But 'KTChampions' is the yellow cap holder on the overall leaderboard.

The leaderboard is always messing up, it shows past round usually but I saw sometimes it shows several rounds. You have to only check the yellow cap winners in the link https://www.superbru.com/laliga/pool_yellow_caps.php?p=12843575 and it is KTChampions. Superbru will always confuse us every season Smiley

Shocked I was upset with my failures in the first rounds and didn't even follow the results afterwards. I'm glad I won the yellow cap in the last round. But if I'm not mistaken, Mahdirakib also won it because he scored the same amount of points. I'm higher than him in the table because I have higher accuracy, but he has the same number of points and also has the yellow cap, right?

Damn, I thought Real was hitting it nicely, and then my Barca comes up and shows an even bigger showing. Nice goals, Pedri got in the assist, and we even only had 1 yellow card, away, I think that was the best outcome for sure.

Lewandowski even almost had a hattrick. I still don't think he is a good fit but Flick really seems to get the right tunes into his head.

Valencia surprised almost all of us except @Saint-loup and @mitchr4 I guess that's what makes leaders leaders.

Don't forget just because we had games throughout doesn't mean we don't get a weekend of games Smiley

I hate yesterday (or for me super early today) and need to forget it. Bounce back, win big, it's the only way to solve this misery for us Barca fans.

Bellingham days to come back soon, hope when he does come back he messes up Real squad even more Tongue

I was also surprised when making predictions in the pool, seeing that there are many matches spread out over an entire week, while usually they only take place over 3-4 days. Perhaps the matches scheduled over the full week involve teams that aren't participating in European competitions, so their schedule is more flexible. Or maybe it's due to television broadcast needs.
This week we have games where Betis, Real Sociedad and Athletic is involved - all these teams playing in Europa or Conference league, so, I guess it might be related with new format. Previously UEFA didn't allowed to play national leagues on the same time as UEFA Cups, unless it's rescheduled game.

Yes it was very strange to see that round 7 played in midweek and cut in a half, with some teams playing in this week and others playing in the following one.

But yes i think is like LTU said, is for this new format in european competitions and super tight calendars. I hope to not have any problem with this changes in my competition.

Ya it was because of Champions League and Europa etc. New formats = more games. So now those without UEFA football play. It's gonna get worse when teams qualify for more rounds and cups. We even had 1 game from 2nd match day already delayed IIRC.

Olmo was one of the most important key transfers that Barcelona could ever make. I like to watch him playing as you never actually know what his next move will be, you only know that it is going to be genius. He is an awesome defender and he is an awesome striker at the same time. A true allrounder with all the qualities a coach can wish for. No need to talk about Yamal, he is going to be one of the best in the world and if he can retain this level of efficiency, damn how valuable is he going to be for Barcelona?

The thing about Barca (usually or traditionally), every piece of the puzzle is as important to the team as one another. Messi for a long time was central, but he had a huge axis around him, and all of those were important. For us now, I think Lewandoswki is the weird one out, important but not quite part of the structure IMO.

Olmo for sure helps us build a nicer puzzle but we really need our Pedris, Gavis, de Jongs, and hopefully now Olmo to be the new axis which we never replaced once we lost of Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi.

Agreed no need to mention Yamal. Just see for yourself, self explanatory.

We haven't seen Real yet because of injuries, it's a collection of players for now.
Besides Sociedad there are also Atletico and Villarreal, Atletico should definitely not lose points in the game with Valencia. As for the games of Barcelona and Real, they are dangerous enough to make a money bet in my opinion.

Yamal is a great talent (it's hard to deny looking at the statistics) but from the games I've seen he hasn't impressed me at all (maybe just a coincidence). In any case, he has a huge room for improvement. Olmo is an undeniable monster, the only problem is his fragility. If injuries don't hinder him, he will be ahead of Yamal.

Technically these are games from other GWs, but I don't know why they were moved. Probably because of the new format of the European Cups?

My dream start can start tonight, if Sociedad can somehow win, they will give us the chance to open 7 points at the top. Not that I'm looking down on Girona at all, but they are not the same Girona of last year.

Actually almost no team is, we only look different because of returning players, Real looks SO different just with 1 new guy in the team who matters.

Hoping Vini lose his head Tongue

Well... I think it's a huge exaggeration to put Atletico in that category. Firstly, Atletico have been bad for two seasons, but now they seem to have strengthened their squad and at least they shouldn't get worse. Secondly, when we say that Atletico are a shitty team, we have in mind, for comparison, Atletico from the time when they were fighting (and even winning) for the La Liga title. Atletico are not in that condition now, but they are not in a position to leave the category of "right after Real and Barcelona".
Sevilla is a drowned club, everything is bad there and it is not temporary. Atletico is doing well, plus they have a trump card for the worst case - a change of coach (although it is already hard to believe that this will happen, since Simeone will coach them until retirement, it seems).

I know, I know, its bad of me to throw Atletico under the bus, but that doesn't stop me from putting a team into shit list (you can still end up Champions League spot but if you keep dropping points, its a shit lister for me Tongue

I recall Sevilla and Valencia even are teams that can play well, the thing is, its okay to lose games, but there are games a good team should not lose points 50/50 of the times, which was becoming the case for these guys.

2 penalties won Real their game, now for Barca to keep the gap.

I don't know how to look at Atletico this season, remember in this pool we used to call Sevilla and Valencia the shitbed teams, I guess they are always going to be that way for a few more seasons, I think Atletico should be added to this list as well.

But Sociedad are in danger of it if they don't start scoring goals. But it doesn't help they sold their main goal machines Tongue
