Sevilla? Oh yeah, those chokers.

Definitely one of those trigger moments that brings you back to the past (my favorite moment is still Fati back on scoresheet),

This guy Fati's been my talisman every time. If he plays, Barca's a good bet. He just is. Stretching all the way back to the unlikely winner that I'll always remember in 2019 to clinch me my 23rd goal for the Sportsbet contest that brought me to Qatar haha. Yeah I'm never gonna tire of this.

I just hope he banishes his injury issues the way Dembele seems to have done. 1 year injury, then 3 months? And then another 2 months? That's such a catastrophe for a young player but?

6 goals from 9 shot, from 486 minutes, all right after coming back from injury. That's not bad at all.

Sevilla did not win at Villareal, but that was pretty clear from the start, and Barca will end-up second
I don't understand why Sevilla refuses to play football. I had Sevilla to score @1.5 on my ticket yesterday and they did not have a single shot on target or dangerous attack before they conceded the goal. Then after they were 1:0 down they played great last 10 minutes and created a couple of good chances and of course scored. Loosing mentality if I ever saw one. I was sure Barca will finish above them as soon as Barca found their stride even though Sevilla still had maybe 7 points lead at that point.

Ahhhh man i was going to cut a little the gap between me and the leaders, but Espanyol 1 Osasuna 1 destroy me.

In the last ball Avila shot and impact in the crossbar. If that b all go in i can maybe cut the gap not because i put the correct score but yes to denied the leaders sum 3 points.

But GG for me.

we have one more match tonight, Madrid city derby, not sure where this can go, but odds on Real to win @4 are amazing

looking at line-ups, Real is not putting much effort into this one, but Benzema can go in at 75 minute, and change everything

Damn, what a game. I think that only Alba can score such goals. And what a connection between him and Alves, like in best Barca times. Draw probably would reflect this game best, but football isn't always fair. I already didn't beleived that my bets on Barca win and over 2.5 will pass.
@tomahawk9, I tend to agree with Trofo that City had to go through and game at Etihad wasn't 50/50. But City can blame themselves for choking in such way. And as said above, Champions league is definitely Real playground.

Definitely one of those trigger moments that brings you back to the past (my favorite moment is still Fati back on scoresheet), but also I hope it doesn't tempt Xavi to revert back or lean on them even more. I won my Barca leg, thankfully, but all other legs I picked went to the toilet pick and choose from Juventus, Chelsea, United and Sociedad so I take 100% blame for it all.

I actually believe that 4:0 hammering by Barca is a realistic result and that most of those other turnarounds should have ended with result like this.

yeah we got our asses kicked by Xavi that day, but that game was the outlier of the season for both Barcelona and Madrid (although, losing to Sheriff was really something).

If we talk about overpeforming, then Barcelona's 4:0 totally enters the top 3 this season. Madrid dominated Chelsea in the first leg and had a close game in the second leg, we had an awful game at Paris but then we crushed PSG at the Bernabeu, we had a 50/50 game at the Etihad, then got outplayed by City at home but we still managed to comeback. Honestly, 44+ goal difference in the league and champions with a 15-point gap lead, Benz and Vini are at the top in both goals and assists, Madrid's 5th CL final in 9 years, can hardly call it overperforming, it's the bookies that keep underestimating us and everyone believes the thirteen-time european champions is the underdog  Cheesy  bookies are making bank thx to madrid, well played bookies, well played lol

Anyhow, went for a draw in Betis v Barcelona. I didn't put this game in any of my parlays/bets but i believe there's good value in BTTS and Over 2.5 as this was correct in six out of the last seven head-to-head, and in those 6 games the over 4.5 goals was correct... We could see a high supply of goals today 🧐
Not gonna argue Real's performances with Madrid fan. You obviously keep a much closer eye at all things Madrid, above was just my take from the games I have seen. I did watch both games against City though and I am quite sure anybody neutral would say that City had to win that with couple of goals to spare. Champions League really is Real's playground and it shows when things get close.

I agree both to score is the way to go in Barca game, should be quite a few goals in this one.

Well there are 4 dates left and everything is still open in this League, obviously taking out the champion.
Let's see how Villarreal focus on the tournament again as they need to enter Europe again after their magical participation in this year's Champions League.
Vilarreal current position now on 7th rank and they must struggle to up rank this position till end of competition so they could participate in Europe league next cycle. with 2 win 2 lose and 1 draw in their 5 last match, its risky enough because points differences with other club was so thin. team must focus on remaining matches and have to win to get their position to europe league.

I actually believe that 4:0 hammering by Barca is a realistic result and that most of those other turnarounds should have ended with result like this. I watched a lot of Real this season and they are playing like shit vast majority of the game and then they salvage it all in the last 10 minutes. Usually their opponent also misses a couple of sitters and that leaves them in touching distance. I don't know if it is luck, belief or something else but obviously it is working for them.

It was wonderful to get such big odds against Real in that match, and more weird, it was the worst odds in Clasico we have had I can ever remember. And we finally won and won big.

I have to say Trofo is right, stats wise also Real in Europe this season is the biggest overperformers, as in getting goals and points far more than they should.

They used up a lot of luck for sure, and it was supposed to finish in semis, but the Italian boss has sold his soul to the devil  Wink

Yeah, I think I recall putting Barca for a win with 1.5 handicap, thought it would be just enough but Real really have been playing poor.

In fact, among the "giants" of their respective leagues, Juventus, Real/Barca, Bayern have all been shocking in almost every game I've watched at least for the first half season. Barca really improved post Xavi and Real, Bayern also had their bright spots but in general, you switch on and watch and you're wondering how on earth these teams cost a lot of money put together.

The overperforming stats thing is also something I believe in somewhat, but Liverpool have now entered 5th season overperforming, (even last season with our lowest expected goals ratio under Klopp, and lowest expected points, we still managed to outperform). I used to fear the season when we "return to the mean" but with the squad getting stronger than ever, I think our "expected" stats rise, so it's okay to underperform a little.

Damn, you confused with Monday, but then I realized that in your time zone it will be Monday, while in Europe it still will be Sunday Cheesy.

Lol yes, we unlucky beings living 7 hours ahead of our favorite football games. The worst is the ones that play at "9pm" because it's 4am for us, so either you try to stay up, or wake up early, but for me I'm usually working at that time or finish work just before that, or start work 6am, so it's like God just wants to punish me for liking football.

And mostly, they always play the best games at this time lol

Ancelotti himself didn't seem too perturbed by the result actually. Funny that that was one of the last matches against a "big team" where they were the favourites and they got hammered pretty badly.

I definitely think the derby should be at least interesting to watch, and best thing is EPL's last game ends before that. Simeone's defence of the title was utterly humiliating this season, they may just want to take it out on Real.

A bit off topic, but last night just found a way to beef up their scores even more... getting to qualification against:
-  PSG at 78th minute of 2nd leg.
-  Chelsea 90+6th minute 2nd leg
-  City 90+5th minute 2nd leg

one friend said to me, but they were not able to turnaround Barca on 0:4, yeah, it would be too much, or not worth a try, since that game was practically just for their mutual score, nothing to decide on Championship
will be interesting to see their play against Atletico, title trophy is already here, they do not need points, but do not want to lose, and Atletico is fighting for CL spot, is this a better match than Barca vs Betis?

I've been thinking for long what result to put on Levante - Real Sociedad game. Levante recently had some good performances, despite that it doesn't reflects very well on results and now every game for them is do or die if they want to stay in league. Meanwhile Sociedad still fighting for places in UEFA cups, maybe even in Champions league, but their recent results isn't good. After all I decided to go with 1:1 draw, unless I will make last minute change. But since I already jinxed, most likely I will get 0 points for this game Cheesy.

I also look forward to Monday when Atletico will not give Real the guard of honor lol

It's going to be an exciting weekend in La Liga for sure. Betis having their little party, so well done there, Barca trying to confirm mathematically their place in next season's champions league (and fans like me wondering what would have happened if we went on to meet Rangers in final of Europa).

We have a great game in LaLiga this week, Betis vs. Barcelona which should give us a lot of answers regarding final positions. I am expecting a though game with couple of goals and probably a point for each team.
it's gonna be a cracking game! If i'm not mistaken, since this is their first game at home after winning the Copa del Rey, Betis will show off the trophy to the fans, so i reckon the players will be highly motivated on the weekend, wouldn't surprise if they stun Barcelona for a second time this season (they beat them at the Camp Nou in the first leg)

Note that if you analyze it coldly, Real Madrid scored 6 goals in the entire key without practically ever attacking. And he scored 6 goals against a team that receives almost no goals.
City conceded 21 goals in 34 league games. To score 6 in just two crucial games against a defensive juggernaut like City is such a massive achievement from Madrid, specially cos we were always coming from behind

Yeah I've got Barca on my sights too for a simple odds doubler, and will probably reup on them again tomorrow and Saturday heh, if my bets are alive by then. They're probably in UCL already but 1 more win takes them to 1 point away from mathematical guarantee. They'll want to do that and focus on early preps for next season.

Always thought EPL was the favourites of clutch players but Benzema has been redefining La Liga... Or Real.
yeah, I think that Real is getting their points by Benzema in last fifteen minutes
did not read or checked, but I have a feeling that within 75 minutes Real would be middle table, so many last minute wins that I remember, Sevilla was the last one

The semifinal was remarkable that City led from 2' of first leg til 89' of 2nd leg.

New challenge is up guys, go take your pick.

We have a great game in LaLiga this week, Betis vs. Barcelona which should give us a lot of answers regarding final positions. I am expecting a though game with couple of goals and probably a point for each team.

Thanks for the challenge again, nice to win something out of the blue and unexpected when you look at your own regular bets and wonder what went wrong. Big pity that I had Real on my ticket but missed some other cricket games (I have a wierd thing with putting 1.55 cricket odds).

Barca's got super good odds to win too, and you're right, we should be able to know how the top 4 will look, and maybe even with 2 games left not much changes for top 4. Villareal is the biggest winner if Barca wins Smiley
