For me the most "shocking" thing in this season its the performacne of Luton Town team, man they are playing really bad, they look like shit, they start the game and put their ass against the goal, how do you want to stay in Premier League playing in that way?

Everton seems like they are again in the same mood as the past season, not looking good. And Manchester United its another disaster, saved by the referee against wolves and for bad decissions take it by  Nothingam Forest.

The Premier League is probably the strongest league in the world if you take the average level (or just discard the first 4 and last 4 teams), apparently Luton is not yet ready to compete at this level.

Yes, it's too early to look at the league table, but I always look at the club and its "deviation from the average", where the average is the place that is "fair" for it. At the moment, West Ham are outdoing themselves. So are doing Tottenham (especially with the loss of Kane), although Tottenham's cup defeat yesterday brought them back a little to average, so I added their victory over Burnley to one of my multis.

West Ham avrage must be top 10 but below 6, this for me is Moyes effect. He can even chase Europa, but nothing more, you're right. Regarding Spurs, Madisson maybe replace Kane? Manchester United is the problem. I see them play sometimes it's terrible like Chelsea but they still get top5 how?? It never averages for that team.

Even if Madisson replaces Kane, it's normal for Tottenham to be in 8th place  Cheesy United are lucky so far, even before the season I was sure that this season would be less successful for them than the previous one (although many began to predict a fight with City for the title) and judging by the game United is showing, it will be so.

I get you, the table makes zero sense if you look at it this early, except for City and Luton Town, even Everton being in their bad spot makes no sense to me but I see the odds as good returns when you make calculations of expected point return.

Anyway, I guess they got what they came for though which is those prize money for being promoted to premier league and all that revenue share or whatsoever on a whole year round

This is what I thought Smiley Biggest prize money they ever got in their history. Now they got a new stadium being built, they don't mind relegating if they use next few years to build and invest.

Well considering that this is the first time they are in 'premier league' and that both teams that they play against are far better in terms of players quality, I'd say it is kinda expected.

Luton will play against West Ham on the 3rd fixture so perhaps another L for them because West Ham was able to beat both Chelsea and Brighton that destroyed Luton. Maybe I will say irrational things, but this is how I see the situation: West Ham after 4 rounds 10 points and second place (along with Arsenal, etc.)? I do not believe. Tottenham is similar, although the bet on them seems to me more reliable (even despite the fact that their odds are higher). The rest of the picks look in line with their odds, and PSG even looks profitable.

I get you, the table makes zero sense if you look at it this early, except for City and Luton Town, even Everton being in their bad spot makes no sense to me but I see the odds as good returns when you make calculations of expected point return.

That to me is the beauty of draws (easy vs hard). PSG have Mbappe back, it will get lower and lower odds from now on.

Tottenham was eliminated by Fulham with penalties yesterday in EFL Cup which is an important cup in England,of course not the level of FA cup but still a good one.Everton will need the help of God if they want to stay without being relegated during this season after having 0 points and scoring less than 2 goals in the three games they have played. For West Ham I like them as they are the last winners of Europa Conference League and they are relatively in good shape during this season too so nothing to be surprised about them at this point.

It was sad seeing Tottenham crash out of the Carabao cup last night, which was their most realistic option of winning a title this season and at this stage of the club I think they will very much trade a title for a top four finish on the table.

Harry Kane ultimately made the best decision for his professional career. He will have been stuck and unmotivated if the only thing keeping him in the league was the possibility of being the highest goal scorer of all time, a record which he will not get to hold forever.
He now has a great opportunity to win titles and compete at the elite level of football along with other top strikers and Tottenham got good value for him considering his age and contributions to the club.

I'm surprised too see Liverpool's odds this high. Shocked  I think that they will win comfortably at the weekend.Tottenham started the season nicely despite losing Kane. They can achieve unexpected successes during the season if they can get efficiency from Richarlison. I expect them to win this week as well.If I'm not mistaken Luton are going to play their first home match. Therefore I wouldn't be astonished if there is a surprise. Besides PSG don't assure me at all this season.

Liverpool's present midfield and defensive options will make it difficult to play against Aston Villa's dangerous offensive options and current form. Unfortunately, Liverpool has not won a single game convincingly this season. Speaking of Richarlison he scored the lone goal for Tottenham tonight, but it was enough to advance them to the next round. Fulham won on penalties.

Manchester city and Arsenal players dominated the PFA team of the year awards - no doubt both teams had the best season, they all deserve it and Saka winning the PFA young player of the year award ahead of Halaand is commendable too. Well deserved.

 and PSG even looks profitable.

odds on PSG seem as good, but this team is far from last season team, although it could make something, because now they have real leadership on the pitch, not relaying on several stars, will be interesting to watch them in CL, Ligue1 should not be a problem at all, nevermind all transfers

back to topic, West Ham has done a really good job in transfer window, same manager as last season, and they could make good fight for European positions (not CL, but those below it), IMO, so would not be surprised to see them with 10 points after four rounds
only thing that does not look good for them is another Friday night for Luton, they can't lose each Friday

Oh I was refering to McAlister red in previous game, I meant like bad luck happens to all teams and evens out in the end. They needed 2 luck (but skill also) to get the chances which Darwin converted so all is fair.

Now Everton need their share of good luck as they played well and lost!
Oh, I read it wrongly that you were referring to the red card that was given to Van Dijk and bad luck does not always even out, some teams seems to get more of it than others over the course of a season.

Darwin Nunez has a lot to prove this season and that was a good way to start it.

That is because Aston Villa is on a great run both in the Premier League and the Europa Conference League where they come from 3 consecutive wins and the first loss against Newcastle 5-1 seems just a distant memory to them. However I agree, the bookies are trying to scare us because Liverpool showed a great spirit in the last game where they turned things around at Newcastle home with 1 player less. This shows that Liverpool finally is starting to get steam and what better occasion than this one in front of their home fans this upcoming weekend. The odd of 1.70 is really high for real based on Liverpool recent performance no matter that Aston Villa has done also good recently.

Maybe it was a really unfair result for Newcastle but if you think about it, Liverpool also unfairly played with 10 men in the match before but still won. Everything evens out later.
It was a straight red in my opinion. The last man and stopped and direct goal scoring chance. It was also nit an unfair result for Newcastle in my opinion, they played as good as they could and Liverpool defended really well and Allison was great in goal. A brilliant display from everyone in Red.

It’s Bank Holiday Weekend in the UK & it’s going great for me so far  Grin

What a win for the mighty Liverpool FC. Everything was going against us but we stuck in there and defended as a team, fought so hard. That performance was all about fight, passion and determination. There was very little of that from Liverpool last season.

We’ve had a really tough start to the season but picked up 7 points out of 9, we’ve got 4 points from two of the toughest away games in the league in Chelsea and Newcastle. Maybe just maybe we can challenge for the title, let’s see. I can’t wait to go to Anfield next Sunday vs Aston Villa, will be my first game of the season.

As for sportsbet.io sponsored Newcastle, hard luck guys. You really should have had the game wrapped up before Nunez came on to land those two sucker blows. You will be fine though, two back to back losses to Man City and Liverpool. You won’t face those juggernauts every week. Also to lighten the mood, it’s the Champions League group stage draw this coming week. Something to be excited about for Newcastle fans, back in the big time in Europe’s biggest club competition. There will be some crazy nights at St James against Europe’s elite. Eddie Howe will rally the troops, they’ll lick their wounds & fight again next weekend,  Brighton away up next.

@Jayce : whats up with you mate? 4 exact scores out of 6 games and another 1.5 points for close result, dang you are on fire this round !

Mighty impressive result from Jayce, especially in this round when it was quite difficult to get it. Yellow probably already in the pocket.

Thanks arall and Trofo, I myself also get surprised as well Embarrassed

...
By the way Jayce managed to go up by 35 places by collecting 21.5 points. It is an amazing start, congrats.

What a jump for Jayce. I only wish I could have a round like this LOL
My position on the pool is still shit. It seems I am lost and can not figure out which team to go with, always going with the wrong side. However I have no regret of losing points in Liverpool match.

It's a crazy jump to second place for Jayce, especially since I'm still stuck at the bottom. LOL
But calm down the match is still long we can do in the next round.  Grin
...

Thanks guys! There are still 35 remaining rounds so you have much time to get better position as well Wink Though it's just my cycle to get into best 10 in the early of season and somehow falling down on November until the end of season lol.

Many were WRONG in the Liverpool match, there were still those who believed Newcastle WON especially with being behind and players out but the comeback was surprising from Nunez.

I had 2-1 in the pool and I also had draw no bet for Newcastle and when I saw 1-0 for Newcastle with Liverpool with 10 men I thought that it was going to stay like this or in the remote case a draw.Liverpool though should a great spirit and they fully deserve the win,the fun fact,Nunez the guy who last season missed a whole lot occasions of goal converted to perfect goals tonight with Liverpool playing with one player less.

Liverpool is coming back strongly little by little and the first game against Chelsea which ended in a draw looks like a distant memory now.
