What a jump for Jayce. I only wish I could have a round like this LOL
My position on the pool is still shit. It seems I am lost and can not figure out which team to go with, always going with the wrong side. However I have no regret of losing points in Liverpool match.
It's a crazy jump to second place for Jayce, especially since I'm still stuck at the bottom. LOL
But calm down the match is still long we can do in the next round.  Grin

Many were WRONG in the Liverpool match, there were still those who believed Newcastle WON especially with being behind and players out but the comeback was surprising from Nunez.

I was expecting Liverpool to win before the match. However I thought that they were over after getting behind and starting to play with 10 players right after that. We can predict from now on that Nunez would be in the starting eleven against Aston Villa next week. This 3 points is great for me as well in the pool that I started badly.

By the way Jayce managed to go up by 35 places by collecting 21.5 points. It is an amazing start, congrats.

Ohh Newcastle wtf, i see only the first half and i gave up because i feel like Liverpool cant answer so much, they were making time and hoping to find a goal to force a tie in his best case scenario, but, HOW you ended up losing, incredible.

Congratulations to Liverpool and also what a game to be a Liverpool fan, and we have one here, how do you feel?

Come on! Down to 10 men. 1 - 0 behind. Game has 10 minutes left, including the extra time 15 minutes to go. Then Nunez came into rescue. Two goals! Masterpiece. It's a shame I had Castle to win in the pool but this match changed everything. Absolutely brilliant. City has Haaland, we have Nunez. Salah was outstanding in the assist of the second goal which sealed the match.

Positive movement everywhere. I love it.

it's Full time with just 10 players liverpool able to make a comeback to 1-2 with nunez make both of the goals

Meh.
Newcastle, LOL. Such frauds, where's the sense of urgency or taking chances with one man more for nearly an hour? Could be an interesting season I suppose.

Who else felt the absence of Pep in the dugout affected Manchester City's performance this afternoon? He is always an animated figure in the technical area and tends to inject an energy into his team especially when under-performing. I wish him a quick recovery and hope he does not need any other medical break.

The Blades put up a very good fight and even though I bet on City to win, I will have been fine if they dropped two points to allow Arsenal remain on par after the third week.

Newcastle are a goal up and a man up as well. Jurgen Kloop has his work cut out for him to come out with a result today.

Haaland 3 goals from 3 match.

So far he's running ahead of schedule  Wink

I'm starting to regret not betting on the City title at the start of the season, the odds were super good at 1.73. After the end of this round, it is obvious that the quotes will change. I think it will be something like 1.6. It seems to be still profitable, what do you say? City have a series of 4 easy games ahead, maybe i should bet and then try to hedge it (before the game with Arsenal)?

Sheffield United is a team that comes from the Championship and we saw what happened to Burnley which is better than Sheffield also coming from the Championship in the first game against Manchester City, they were easily beaten and most likely this will be the panorama of this game too.

Sheffield were outstanding this afternoon. With this equalizer they almost gave me a heart attack LOL
But it did not last long thankfully.
I have a multibet where City was the only team who have a straight win and other three are either draw or win.

After the first half I had a bet of over 1/1.5, now I feel if Sheffield was not scoring that equalizer then I would have half win from that slip. I am lucky so far.

Haaland 3 goals from 3 match.

Try living in a different timezone, and only being able to catch a few games a month unless you're willing to loose sleep (and possibly loose your job).
Who needs a job?  Huh

But I agree of course. Even without watching all games live we follow teams and replays and duscussions. I love the chats on forum even. Without that it feels like the days go longer!
That will make up giving the situation. In reality you can only watch about 2 - 3 live matches a week, 4 at most and still try to catch up with the replays and highlights of the others.
The chats are awesome too, I wonder why the banter section on Superbru is not active, but I guess is cause the banter goes on here.

I agree though with those people seeing value at a Liverpool win at 3.55 odd.
An attractive odd, but I went for a draw instead, that seems more likely.

Another Sunday to enjoy unpredictable football. I sometimes wonder how I cope on weekends without football during the breaks and especially how we pulled through the early lockdown periods.

Two tricky games today in Burnley vs Aston Villa and Newcastle vs Liverpool. Both away teams are slightly expected to win, but the home advantage swings the balance of the game fairly even.

City would win easy at Sheffield, no?

In Aston Villa I agree that the favorite is slightly them but in Newcastle game seeing the performances of both teams I would say that the home team has a slight advantage over Liverpool during this game and I agree with the bookies in the odds that they have placed for both teams.I agree though with those people seeing value at a Liverpool win at 3.55 odd.

In the meanwhile Arsenal is being unpredictable and giving hearth attack to people that place stakes on them  Grin
They did indeed. I lost two bets where Arsenal was the only reason. My free bet was ruined for them too.
@Mouse, is this your champion team LOL. I think even before finishing the 30th round we will know your team is not is the race anymore 😉

I was on vacation and only yesterday night came back home so slept right away.I am shocked at the results of yesterday games, what the f*ck happened, did Premier League started weeks of huge surprises this early,we are used to see them near the end of the season here while I saw such week since the third one here,it means it going to be a great season.

Seeing Arsenal screwing up in their home against a really week team,Brighton losing 1-3 and Brentford drawing are enough to make this week full of surprises and hopefully the games of today come in as predicted. The only good I got from this week so far is an exact score from Chelsea.
My score in the pool is suffering LOL. Hopefully today it will suffer less. Like you I also had a good start from the Chelsea match.

Turns out there is a chance Chelsea is in the right track and just faced two hard oponents in the openings, after West Ham won away at Brighton.,while Manchester United might take their place as an expensive replacement that just play crappy  Grin

Notthingham Forest seems to be improving their away form but it seems they are not being able to get away points, but the goal dry is over.

In the meanwhile Arsenal is being unpredictable and giving hearth attack to people that place stakes on them  Grin

I was expecting Brighton to nosedive, put in the next round, this defeat was definitivaly not good for the pool and for my fantasy team, but let's see if I'll regret putting Salah in the team and how will Liverpool will perform away from home, last season they were good at home but kinda bad away and this will be a challenging game.

Anyone up for a side bet? 1mbtc or 2mbtc max.

Harry Kane will score more goals in this Bundesliga season than Haaland in the Premier League. Could be goals + assistis or 2 points by goal and 1 point or anything.
So far Kane has 1 goal in 1 game and Haaland has 2 goals in 2 games, therefore they are pretty much even.

Hmmm... I don't want such a long-term bet, I'm just arguing - isn't it obvious? It can be assumed that Kane will be close to Lewandowski's record (41 goals), and Haaland will be close to his record (36) at best. Also I'm not sure if Haaland's business will go as smoothly as last year, he's been criticized for not playing well in important games, who knows how that will affect his game.
I don't go for these type of long term bets where a single players fitness involves. May be Kane has better opportunity than Haaland to score more goals but one injury can change everything, Haaland included. There was another member who was offering Haaland to score under 33.5. Pretty sure if he is fit and can play all the matches, the score will be over 33.5 but I did not take the bet because it's a bet on a single player.

I'm not at all sure that Haaland will score over 33.5 since KDB is out. Plus, sometimes it happens that a player spends his debut season well, and then things go worse. Who knows if this applies to Haaland, but if I were to participate in such a bet, I would probably bet on Under. In addition, the Under bet can be hedged with bets that Haaland will score  Grin
May be you are right. It's only two games played by City so far and right now it's hard to predict anything for an individual player. Let's see what he does today. I always feel he will go over 33.5 goals.

Last night it was too bad for me in all pools LOL. I lost a few bets too including the free bet I had.

Everybody dropping points so far then except Man City so far I think. No surprises there really, they’re likely to win their 3rd game in a row, Sheff Utd are not going to lay a glove on them are they?

Hopefully Liverpool can get a win away at Newcastle tomorrow, will not be easy. Their fans always create a hostile atmosphere, can we survive the first 15-20 minutes in the pressure cooker that is St James Park?

Watched a lot of football today and I must say West Ham topping the league after winning 3:1 against both Chelsea and Brighton with possession around 20% is quite surprising. But you gotta hand it to them, they are very dangerous on counter attack, really nice ball control and finish from Bowen today. Something I don't think many players would manage to do.

Arsenal playing some really strange football. Seems like Arteta lost it a bit with all the formation tinkering. United turning 0:2 to 3:2 win could be the trigger to give them some confidence and better performances going forward. Rashford is definitely much more dangerous on the left than as striker, mini Haaland will be good for them even if he turns out to be a flop.

West Ham's attackers are clutch - they only need three opportunities to wreak havoc when it is least expected. I feel better now that we lost to the league's leader and title contender. West Ham are the true embodiment of "good games don't always win you games." How will Kudus survive this Moyes Haram football?

Arteta's attempt to justify Kai Havertz's spending while also accommodating Partey and Rice in the team is interfering with his game strategy. It doesn't feel right for Partey to play RB to make room in the centre for Kai Havertz. It's insane.

Great second half comeback from Manchester united - another reason why Erikson should be playing ahead of Micky Mount.
