I don't expect a high scoring game here and have 2-1 scoreline for the Chels.

interesting view, I thought about that but then Chelsea is struggling a lot this season, and I really do not see them as any kind of threat for City tonight, and @5 does not have value for me, since City is playing the same home/away, and it is more valuable to chase their loses at home (better odds, and pretty similar chances to see underdog taking points)

but, over goals should do well, Chelsea defense is far from great, and I do not expect a whole bus from them in front of goal
I am on the other side of those bets, I am expecting low scoring game and City to win 0:1 or 0:2 but now I have seen line ups and your posts I am starting to question my choices. I really like that Pep finally decide to let Foden play from first minute and I have a feeling he could do well tonight. Add to that constant threat that Haaland posses and we could indeed see more goals.

I have simple ML on City on a ticket since I believe City to be much better side and I don't even think Chelsea has what it takes to score a single goal tonight.

^  Yup.  I actually have high regard for Eddie Howe and I actually said I fancy him managing a club like Arsenal or a club in the same tier as Arsenal.  I think it was 3 - 4 years ago.  Some time before covid.

So yeah..  Just amazed how he's evolved.  With Bournemouth score lines would usually be 3 - 2, 2 - 1, mostly over 2.5 goals matches.  With Newcastle, the defense is just solid.  And with that oiler money backing the club, they're gonna be a force that's gonna be hard to deal with.

With only a few signings, the team already appears to be balanced and ready to compete for top four and six at the end of the season; when the oil money is put to use, they may well turn into title contenders next season; they have the resources and a good coach who plays beautiful attacking football. From being the poorest-funded squad in 20 years to one of the wealthiest in the world. How quickly time passes. Cool

Newcastle will be in the running but hard to day if they're def gonna be title contenders.  City is still strong, Arsenal seems like they're the real deal, Liverpool could find a resurgence and don't forget Graham Potter and Chelsea after a summer buying spree.  Lots of good teams in the EPL...  There's also United and the Spurs who are always there for a top 4 - top 6 scrap.

But would love to see it.  It's been a while since an English Manager won the league.

Newcastle is starting to look like the dark horse the season, their loss column is telling the most important story.  They, and Arsenal have only had one loss so far which seems rather impressive for any team that isn't named Manchester City.

Of course we were saying similar things about Brighton a few weeks ago, and they've been slowly dropping positions on the table since.  If you do want Newcastle in the top 4, maybe we shouldn't be jinxing them, lol.

This round is one of the worst weekly performance I've ever had in the current season Undecided

It's been a bad week of predictions for me too, but it looks like I'm not alone.  Nine matches into the week and the highest score is 11 points, so the saving grace is that I've only dropped on position in the table.  There's still time for me get hosed, so I'm still holing my breath, lol.

I think Kane is going to score as they know the importance of such game and they know that they should get the three points which I think they will do and they will help the best goal scorer they have to score goals.

Yes, Tottenham did manage to defeat Palace by four goals in order to earn three points.I am earned a point in the pool, and I moved up to the 18th spot, very close to the leaders.
lol Kane scored two wonderful goals, and fortunately he was in my fantasy team.

Been a true believer of Spurs getting the results in their favor and they have let me down in two game weeks already , and this time I feel kane and Team won't have it in them, before you know it boom they run riot and get 4 goals past crystal Palance like what the f... The premier league is just so unpredictable hope these guys get consistent results from now on.

Tottenham was able to win, and I am confident that it will continue to produce results that please its supporters and compete for one of the qualifying spots for the European duties. The first half ended without a goal for Kane and his club teammates, but the second half saw Tottenham enter the game and score four goals.

The City vs. Chelsea game is tonight. It should be exciting and worth watching, in my opinion. He is the captain of my fantasy team thanks to Haaland. He should get a hat-trick today, I hope.

Anybody taking Chelsea today @5 odds? They haven't been doing well but I really feel that they can complicate things for City.
I feel there's huge value there, not sure how to approach it though. Chelsea not to lose still pays out more than 2/1, but these odds aren't that attractive.

They do have a lot of injuries, especially in defense. City should be without both Dias and Laporte as well, so BTTS/over 2,5 look attractive as well.
I had been from the restart. Manchester City have not had their players click as they had before the break.
I always had a feeling in my bones that Chelsea will get a well improved performance from Kai Havertz as they did in their last match.
And if Sterling is well enough to dress upon game time then they will have a chance against the former season's EPL Champions this day.
And just pray that Haaland doesn't find his form again with another near hat trick he had been on before the World Cup break.
I don't expect a high scoring game here and have 2-1 scoreline for the Chels.

I hope Halaand doesn't haul, but the reality is that our defensive members are in shambles, and the defense is easily exposed; we've had this problem since Kante was injured. Manchester City haven't found their feet since the break, but Chelsea is in a worse situation. We expected things to be difficult because the Chelsea team is rebuilding. KDB anytime scorer @ 4.4 is my pick.

That was generous from Sportsbet as always.
I am yet to have a cap. The last one was sometimes in the last season although I did not claim that free bet LOL.

Good luck bud, we still halfway to go so there is a big chance for you to win it. And after you get it, use the free bet directly lol. If none of big games play at that time, use it for less popular leagues Grin

What a game we have today, i hope it will be a enjoyable one with a lot of goals, and lets see if Chelsea recovers his memory because they are playing really bad and Graham Potter seems like cant find the solution to fix the team.

I think we can see a Chelsea in defense and making counterattacks.

Whoa hey I just saw my Superbru give me a wall of red -- don't remember the last time I got everything wrong, though of course, in 53rd position, I was just trying to get a round of upsets to get a leg up. Climb to 30th and then maybe change my strategy again.

Trofo doing pretty well at the moment, you going for a draw tonight? @cryptofrka 55/10 Chelsea win too good for me to ignore.

I would get the double chance as the best bet if they have the odds to win at 5 it means that double chance should be 1.7-2 depending on the odd provider and by doing so you have a 66.67% chance to win your bet.I think the best thing to do if you are seriously thinking of placing such bet is placing very little money on a Chelsea win and a substantial amount for Chelsea double chance.

I personally see no value in this as most likely Manchester City will win tonight because they have not been that consistent with wins lately and I think it is time to change that.

City and Chelsea are left to play, but Chelsea performance so far does not make it a derby, does it

Chelsea performance since the resumption makes a fair game imo, while Man City performance since they resumed the is raising a lot of eyebrows, of course that's Guardiola's fault of selection but until I see their best xi play, I really can make any conclusion as to what should be expected of them, I'll probably go for BTTS or Over 2.5 for the game, but I'm not comfortable with a Man City to win bet, although they're very likely to remain my pick in the pool.

I think that based on their last games City will have a problem to get that Over 2.5 goals in this game. That is because most likely Chelsea will play defensively and won't try to attack a lot as if they lose this game they risk a lot in their fight for the top 4 during this season,so I don't think they will risk and think let's beat Manchester City and go all in attack.Manchester City on the other hand needs to win this game at all costs if they want to go back to being 5 points from Arsenal otherwise if they get a draw or lose the game here they compromise further their title fight.

This round its really tought because two of the bigs plays against themselves. And Arsenal played against Newcastle one of the top 4. So you dont have so much room to easy results.
I agree and the same goes for the bottom teams. I thought Southampton will finally get some points and break their streak at home but I guess not this round.  Tongue

Currently, i'm tied with my worst round(13) as i'm sitting with 2.5 points and hopefully I'll at least get a point or more in the last two matches.

COME ON BAILEY!!!, That last ball good control, better dribling against he goalkepper and you miss the shot... it can be an exact score for me...

yeah, no easy matches in this round, agree
and I really don't know why I believed in Villa and Leeds to win, they were so obvious to blow

Tottenham scored four pieces on Palace is really surprising, their performance being low after WC, but close goals by Kane, and everything slides after that

City and Chelsea are left to play, but Chelsea performance so far does not make it a derby, does it

Man United managed to score 3 points against Bournemouth's  last night, with 3 clean goals, to be my correct result in the pool.
United are starting to come out of that shell of theirs despite winning some games in a scrapy fashion... But who cares, it's all about those 3 points that count..and am hoping CR7 doesn't find himself in this performance for pulling down the team when he was around Roll Eyes Otherwise boys are playing some good football Smiley

I think that Shaw is a perfect addition to the ranks of United, and Rachford's improvement is starting to find his way to the goal and score goals.
Rash and Shaw always put up a good show and I feel the manager needs to tone down with his so called punishments which really kill player moral at times. If he wants to see these lads put in a 101% on the field let the lads have fun out there.

And I don't know if Kane is able to score against Crystal Palace

@toke what are you following these days if not football? What the hell could be better than football??
I noticed the change when the covid lock downs started some time in 2020.  There was nothing on except the UFC.  So I got way deeper into it than I already did.

Didn't even realise that was still on. I sort of remember the onset and being a lot more occupied with work and family at the time -- even if football had been around, I'd have been too tied up to really focus. It wasn't even really tough for me in particular, but definitely some crazy time for the family back home.

Your post reminded me.

I have to say I didn't have your same regard for Eddie Howe, one has to see how long he can take that effect into his teams -- he is a bit like Klopp in that regard, can't seem to maintain success with the same personnel after some years.

My respect was for Potter but even then I think Chelsea was a step too high up.
