Forgot to put my scores in for this round. I'm not gonna bother putting the ones in for the rest of the week's games and just take advantage of the default picks and see how I do. I think I'll probably do better with that to be honest  Grin. Got 2 points so far which is better than a handful of people who put their scores in and five other people are also on 2 points.

Superbru's website is totally a garbage put together Roll Eyes

I opened flashscore on two different browsers and my phone to double check if I was dreaming or some shit lol

Meanwhile Brighton is totally trashing Everton around. Lampard got alot of things to handle if he wants to survive the relegation zone by the end of the season

I wouldn't use Superbru for anything other than just putting in the scores and keeping track of them and it's perfect for that. It's definitely not for keeping up to date on the current scores etc as it can take a while to update. I just use Sofascore for that. They have an website and app. My only criticism of Superbru is like I've said before: I think you should get an extra point or two for an exact score but aside from that I haven't come across anything better or even close to it.

Considering they are free to use, Superbru is a great option. Things like these don't happen often - and get fixed quickly anyway.
I agree that the site is not perfect, but it would also be much more difficult to organize such competitions without it.

I agree, I like their simple interface and how they thoughtfully send reminders if I haven't made predictions ahead of time. For a free product, they are great.
As I understand it, in order to avoid problems, you need to make your predictions in advance (and not 5 minutes before the game when there will be an influx of visitors on the site) and check the results of the games after some time and not immediately after the end of the matches.

^  Yup.  I actually have high regard for Eddie Howe and I actually said I fancy him managing a club like Arsenal or a club in the same tier as Arsenal.  I think it was 3 - 4 years ago.  Some time before covid.

So yeah..  Just amazed how he's evolved.  With Bournemouth score lines would usually be 3 - 2, 2 - 1, mostly over 2.5 goals matches.  With Newcastle, the defense is just solid.  And with that oiler money backing the club, they're gonna be a force that's gonna be hard to deal with.

Superbru is a great way to organize the pools and I have been always against other forms of organizing the pools for the simple reason that it is super easy to use and they both have the website or the app if you are on the move.On top of that for people that want more like previews, insightful tips and other related information they can opt to become Premium Members which I think everybody participating in this pool can afford it at 2.49 dollars monthly.

Why would anyone pay $2.49 per month for something they only use four times a month? If the premium package's only benefit is previews and insightful tips, it's not worth it. Is there a specials package for the premium plan? We are driving traffic to the site, which is sufficient to keep it running. I was unable to put tips for the Liverpool game due to their shit

It's still a mystery how Ancelotti ended up at Everton; their scouting network is abysmal, and they keep overhauling the team every season. I don't think Lampard is the issue; they should give him more time to build the team, even if it means regulating the club for the first time.

I would've had Arsenal scoring a couple of goals and prolly a goal for Newcastle, for a 2 - 1.  But now looking at the stats, I didn't know Newcastle has the least goals against with just 11 goals scored against them.  It's far from how Eddie Howe played his squad at Bournemouth.  Lol.  Looks like he must have realized a thing or two after he got the sack.
Most of these mid table coaches are extremely talented; all they need are the right players and a good project to prove. Do you believe Pep can lead Bournemouth to 10th place? Nah

Yes, it's certainly convenient to have a platform like Superbru available to help organize pools and competitions. It can make the process of setting up and managing a pool much easier and more efficient. It's also good to hear that issues like the one you mentioned are not common and are usually resolved quickly.

Man United managed to score 3 points against Bournemouth's  last night, with 3 clean goals, to be my correct result in the pool. I think that Shaw is a perfect addition to the ranks of United, and Rachford's improvement is starting to find his way to the goal and score goals. And I don't know if Kane is able to score against Crystal Palace

I think that if Tottenham does not win against Crystal Palace then I can start to consider this as a failed season so far for them. They were beaten by Aston Villa at home in the last game which many say including me that they were caught by surprise or their players did a bit more festivities when they knew they would be playing in 1 January.

I think Kane is going to score as they know the importance of such game and they know that they should get the three points which I think they will do and they will help the best goal scorer they have to score goals.

Lol yup, the site kinda is clunky.  And now the app is acting up too.  Sometimes I can't connect and have to delete and install it again.

I am sure they will fix this as before they had it only when you locked the picks you could see other people picks but now I don't know,if the data is readily available without anyone locking the picks then it definitely needs to be fixed.

Superbru does not use external check for results unless there are problems. It just shows the results other users report. It is not meant to be used for such things. It is just supposed to be a place where you enter prediction and then don't look the tables at least an hour after the game finishes.

They are sort of victims of their success and now it is probably time to do some scaling and proper data fetching.

Brentford are quickly becoming our bogey team, although we've been awful all season. I didn't catch the game unfortunately, but it sounds like we've been absolutely awful since the world cup, just as we were before it.
We showed some performance against Aston Villa in the first match after World cup. Nunez's miss chances did not look that important because in the match we always was ahead. But the last two matches obviously were different. It makes me angry.

I am still hooked because of the position on the pool. If it was like the World cup prediction pool, leading from the bottom part of the pool then I would give up to follow the season anymore and scheduled my time for CL only, wast of time. But anyway, I enjoyed Utd match. I had a 3 - 0 to win for them and when Rashford scored the third goal, I was like don't score anymore boys, pass the balls to each others and spend rest of the 10 minutes maximum including the extra time.

In the Arsenal vs Newcastle match I was stupid not to change it to a draw. I had 1 - 1 in mind but since whenever I pick a draw which I hardly do, I find myself picked the wrong leg so I gave the advantage to the home team. Regret.

That was like vintage Brighton from this season's performance, they've struggled a bit in their last few matches but the trashing of Everton in such a manners is what I didn't see coming...

Arsenal vs Newcastle playing goalless draw is bad for me, due to my FPL I done have any Arsenal players and there a lot of team consisting of just Arsenal and Newcastle defense, that gives both side a huge point, 1-1 draw would have been a perfect result for me, and how was the handball in the dying minutes against Newcastle wasn't awarded as a penalty ?

Congrats mate. Frankly, I was expecting for a Liverpool match in which Nunez puts on a good show. If he was able to score a goal there at the beginning of the match then maybe everything might have changed. I was thinking that we could see the Liverpool of the recent years after the World Cup break. However there is a Liverpool that can't play an efficient game in even the matches they win. If they go on like this their job against Real Madrid would be very difficult.

Thanks, it pays to bet against Liverpool this season. We concede quite often, and basically to teams with the same playstyle - that play a lot of direct balls into the box.
Just look how many chances Brentford created from the same crosses. We could have easily conceded 5 goals.

We defended such teams way better before when we pressed higher and did not give them enough time to make quality passes - now we give therm plenty time on the ball and then struggle with clearances.

I am going with a big bet on Brentford not losing today. The odds are great, Liverpool was horrible against Leicester, while Brentford played a really good game against West Ham.

I even placed a bet on Brentford winning the game, the odds are @ 5.7. Looks like value, and if I lose I'll still be happy because Liverpool won Grin

I mean, injuries, and aging players sure, but I find it hard to believe a team that was on the top of the world, is struggling this bad. I would consider our team, despite a little light in areas better than a lot of the teams we've lost against.

I think I'm going to write this season off, and hopefully we get it together before the next season.

Damn, I should've taken Brentford draw no bet at 3.90 anyway even though I lost my Spurs and Chelsea parlay...  I just watched a bit of the replay and could say that it will prolly be Liverpool's worst performance of the season.  I think it's time for Klopp to go talk to the LFC brass and ask for a budget for a midfield upgrade.  Prolly even raiding his old club BVB for Jude Bellingham..?  Would love to see that guy back with a big club.  Wink

Anyway does anybody else have connection problems with Superbru?  It's being weird again.

Mmm no, works fine for me, are you using the app or the normal web?.

Today matches are really good, but Arsenal Newcastle caguht all the lights, no matter the result it can be a very important one for eachone.

If Arsenal lose can be a punch in their way, and Newcastle can close the gap and also finally say "im here". And city seeing all from outside waiting.

Newcastle wasn't bad in that game against Leeds, they just did not manage to score. Everyone here is talking about attack but these 2 clubs also have very good defensive records. I see the game today as low scoring draw. In other words 0:0 or 1:1, can't even play both to score on this one. I will probably skip it for high stake and play half time or full time draw on some low stake ticket.
They have conceded three goals in their last two games against a weak attacking team ( Westham and Fulham). Do you believe Arsenal's defense will be able to stop Newcastle's powerhouse? I've got 1-2 CS in the pool ( Arsenal to win)

Newcastle is showing good performance this season and is among the top leaders of the Premier League for this season. His match tonight will be a real test against Arsenal, who lead the standings by 7 points from last season's champions City. I don't think Arsenal will drop more points despite Jesus' absence tonight.
^^
That's why my expectation will also be like you in the pool.
The Arsenal team has nothing to prove anymore; this is just another game in which they will dominate. The team was not built around G. Jesus, so his absence has no effect on the team; there is no target man in the team, they have been playing as a team.

Although it is still early, Arsenal does not appear to be backing down, and Manchester City, the only team closing in, is gradually losing ground. Is it finally returning to North London?

All eyes will be on the Arsenal - Newcastle game today. After drawing at home against Leeds, Newcastle will feel a bit of pressure - they need a decent result tonight.
Arsenal was dominant against Brighton in a high scoring game, I expect the same type of performance. They are still without Jesus but their offense is really playing well without him.

I'm really interested to see Newcastle in a high pressure game like this. Today will be the first glimpse of how they will react at the end of the season in their top 4 battle when the stakes are raised.

I hope Arsenal win today, but Newcastle's unbeaten streak is also impressive. If we take the games among the tops, then Newcastle played 3-3 with City (then it was still an surprising result, since Newcastle did not play in the best way). Most likely today there will be BTTS Yes, and Arsenal will win with a minimal advantage.

I agree and I have gone with 2-1 most common result in the pool for Arsenal but I am afraid that Newcastle would play rather defensively as 1 point to them would do better than 0 and thus they know that if they try to attack Arsenal by leaving spaces behind they have no escape but they will concede goals. That is my only concern because Arsenal is a great team with a lot of scoring capability but most likely we are over estimating Newcastle just because of the results they have got so far without losing from a long time.
