It is going to be a really very exciting thing to watch Casemiro wearing Manchester United jersey. Manchester United are prepared to sacrifice this much high amount of money for a 30-year-old player. And this shows how desperate the team are now. If it weren't for the disastrous results in the last two league matches, Erik ten Hag wouldn't want a player who has a profile like Casemiro. Because during the whole summer Manchester United's name was being called with Frenkie de Jong.

Thiago is a key player for Liverpool, but we've been really hit hard with the injuries. If we had Jota, and at least one other midfielder right now, I don't think we'd be in the position we are in. Injuries are telling to story in these results, and having to rely on a new signing isn't always the best option. Well, if you look at how Klopp normally handles new signings, apart from VVD, basically everyone he has signed has a bedding in period before becoming a first team player. So, Nunes didn't have that option.

I'm still confident against United, I might have to adjust my scoring system as I wasn't expecting some of the dire performances we've seen as of recent, and I was looking forward to seeing Nunez play against United, but I guess a similar thing would've happened with his attitude at the moment.

So Arsenal didnt win the first three games of the season since the 2003/2004 season. Really impressive, because are not so many games.

I really miss the old Arsenal Stadium, i hate the new ones London stadiums, yes they have more capacity but their lack of the mistic and the soul. I miss Highbury, with the people really close and the red tipicall english bricks in some places. Also i miss saw the White hard lane another tipicall english stadium. Its like i know if im going to see Fulham i see that tribune what its like and old train station. I dont want to lose that for a shit same desing in all the stadiums.

In addition, the same thoughts can be applied to the third defeat in a row for United - zero points after the first three rounds - something unbelievable for what one may say is not the last team in the Premier League.

anything can happen in this match, but Liverpool is closer to a win, and odds @1.6 are value bets, no matter current placement for both teams
United is simply playing miserably, and you cannot hang on name to play against PL teams, all those are playing great football, and Liverpool is playing better than most PL teams

I would assume that @1.6 is on Derby status, if there was not a Derby status, it will probably be @1.4 or similar

At first glance I thought Liverpool was winning this one easy, judging by how Man United was playing their first couple of matches of the season.  But Liverpool will be without some of their key players like Nunez, Jota, Firminho and is Thiago a key player?  I think he's supposed to be this season...  He's out too.  And they're playing at Old Trafford.  So that shouls be a factor going to United's favor too.  I think there a slight chance that it could be a draw.  :/

I'd be picking Liverpool to win at the pool tho.  Bet from a betting perspective I'd be wary of picking them.
Maybe I'll get burned in the end but I see this as very easy match for Liverpool. I will have ML on all my serious tickets and probably some handicaps on just for fun tickets. I am also planing to take highest possible handicap that Sportsbet will offer cause United lost 4:0 and 5:0 last season and they were in better form then. Granted Liverpool was in better shape as well.

I don't see anybody writing about it but it seems United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for 60M, could get up to 70M with bonuses. He got double his current salary but I forgot the number. Memes are already flying around the twitter...good times.

Maybe you're right (we'll never know) but that sounds highly dubious to me. In the previous two games, Liverpool were quoted at odds of 1.22 and 1.20, but both games ended in draws. The difference between 1.2 and 1.6 is 20%. Do you think United are only 20% better than Fulham or Crystal Palace? And did you count those odds (1.22 and 1.2) as value?

Manchester United were giving good signals in the preparation phase. I was thinking that they would do a good work with their new manager Erik ten Hag. In fact I even bet with swogerino over Manchester United to finish the league above Arsenal (I'm totally an idiot 😂). Ronaldo's condition must be affecting the in-team atmosphere negatively as well. However I think they won't give up against Liverpool that easy this week.

I expected a lot more from Manchester United this season . When i saw the pre-season i was thinking they were gonna fight for the title but now when i see them they will fight not to get relegated. Teams like Brentford and Brighton destroyed them in the league and this cannot happen to such a big team

My desire to bet on United only gets stronger (with two bets already lost)  Cheesy

5.10 - 4.60 - 1.61

In my opinion, the odds are absolutely inadequate. United is not Granada or anything. Even in a crisis, United can beat a strong opponent simply because of the importance of playing against a historical opponent, and now Liverpool are clearly in trouble. I understand that in the pool I have to predict the victory of Liverpool, but all my intuition protests against this.

I think the opposite,I think the Liverpool odds are quite high because of them failing to win any of the first two games of the Premier League,if they had won just a single game I think the odd would be like near 1.40 or something like that considering the really weak form of Manchester United so far, despite being only in the beginning of the season.I think we should bet on Liverpool as I consider it a sure win because if Liverpool fails to win the third game in a row then it is bye bye for the title fight for real.

Don't you think that this is a kind of wishful thinking - "if Liverpool don't win, something that you don't want to happen will happen"? I think so, so we shouldn't take it into account. In addition, the same thoughts can be applied to the third defeat in a row for United - zero points after the first three rounds - something unbelievable for what one may say is not the last team in the Premier League.

Anyway, just curious.  Is Joao Felix really a flop at Atletico Madrid?

I wouldn't say he's a flop at Atletico Madrid, his stats weren't great compared to the numbers he had at Benfica, but It could be Simeone's coaching style that's actually having an effect on him playing at his full potential.

If Atletico Madrid coach really do think he's a flop, I'm sure they would considered one of the offers they've received for him so far during this current summer transfer window, the last one actually being a £110million offer from Man Utd which was reported by mirror.co.uk to have been rejected by Atletico Madrid.

As for Elon Musk, why would he say something like that if it isn't true?  I think it's true.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1559760618537848832

speaking of Man utd, you guys seen their latest transfer targets? Casemiro, Joao Felix and Pulisic... hmm, a storm is coming. Be afraid, rest of the Premier League teams, be very afraid . . . . lol 🤣

Ah...  Trolled once again.  Lol.  It's too good to be true in hind sight.  But there's this guy called Sir Jim Ratcliffe who seems serious in wanting to buy United.  He had a last minute bid on Chelsea for around 4 billion or something that failed.

And yeah, Man United is getting really desperate.  They also got past acquisitions that turned out bad like Fred and the Wan Bissaka guy..  Ronaldo too but at least he's goal scoring threat.

Anyway, just curious.  Is Joao Felix really a flop at Atletico Madrid?

If Man Utd beat Liverpool next math I will make a personal donation to one of the United charities. Am sure a Red Devil in the pool can help me locate one...

Because whatever the problems we have, even if we were playing backups, teens and veterans, Elliott and Milner have got to be miles better than anyone in a United shirt now.

So yeah, I rarely put out silly ultimatums but we have to not lose to United. Many unthinkable things but I couldn't stomach that. The first Liverpool match of the season I can watch live cannot end that way... -D

Worth noting, that the Man United fans are planning a protest, and therefore the match might get cancelled. I hope it doesn't, and honestly I believe there should be penalties for the club if it does, since its their doing. If it gets cancelled we should be given the points, and United should forfeit, otherwise any club could stage a protest when their players are injured etc.

I understand protests, I just wish there was a better way of going about it. A lot of fans are having their first experience watching Liverpool/United, and it ends up getting cancelled, which might mean they can't afford to go for quite some time again. So, while I definitely do agree, I'd like to see them protest outside of matches too, and not just on match days.

If the game does go ahead, I'll probably be going for a 2-0/3-0 to us, considering we aren't firing on all cylinders right now, and have a few injuries.

It is a must win game for both teams - which will help Liverpool in this situation.

I do not think that United is getting this match, as must win
it is good for them to play Liverpool now, so even a lose can be taken as lost Derby, not another humiliation against some Brighton class team

however, they are going to lose it probably, no matter both teams having difficult times playing as season starts, two points so far for Liverpool is comparable with "potatoes" for United, when ambitions are leveled

United is currently the easiest opponent in the whole league, their defense is non existent and I am expecting Liverpool to went some of their frustrations here. If Liverpool is under pressure what to say about United? They have no team cohesion and look ready to burst. Clean sheet is probably sience fiction for them and I don't expect them to even be able to do much in attack.

Good thing thay play against Liverpool so it will be less embarrassing to concede several goals.

Yeah, on paper. That's exactly the thing, I can recall so many games when Liverpool was shit, United was flying and they returned home losing to a Danny Murphy screamer.

Derby games are never easy and while I do agree that United looks like they will concede in every attack against them, it is still a game I will be watching nervously. I do expect us to beat them - but individually they still do possess enough quality to make it difficult for us if we don't bring out our A-game.

It is a must win game for both teams - which will help Liverpool in this situation.

The main problem with Man United after Ferguson wnet out, was and is the bad transfer markets they have, they spend so much for players, and all the teams what trade with they exige so much money knowing Man Utd pays ever.

For bad players or good, they pay a minimum of 30/40 millions for nosense players.
While that might be true, they've got fantastic players. They actually had world class players in almost every position. Pogba despite the criticism he gets, was exceptional at what he does, but it seems he could never get going in a United shirt, and was never given the role he needed, regardless who was manager.

They still have fantastic players, but obviously something has seriously gone wrong at the club level, as we've seen multiple managers come, and go now. Players actively being vocal against the club, doesn't help morale, and while I always thought Ronaldo was a bad idea to bring back, he isn't helping the situation at all right now.

You're spot on with every points made, especially on the terms that most of the players those respective managers got were fantastic ones, but once there's a change in coach, there comes a new preference of players and some of these players gets played out of their preferred role which the initial manager got them for. Di Maria was a supposedly a flop at Man United but went on the to be back at his best at PSG, Pogba was also mediocre at Man Utd but that's what you'd expect when players have to adjust to a system entirely different after almost every 6 months or calendar year, I really thought when Mourinho joined the club, that he was going to be at least a 5-6 years deal at the minimal, and he was the best manager Man Utd had since Ferguson, and won them major trophies and that's because he stayed longer than other managers lasted at the club, I'm not a fan of his football tactics and ideology to say the least, but I think If Mourinho had remained at Man Utd till now, they'd be way better off right now.
