What a wierd round, all this matches that started at 16:00 went the otherway in second half. I had 7.5 points and the end barely received 1.5 points. No body expected that Leicester would lose this match especially after leading 1-0. Fulham barely won in the end for some points at least

It's been a horrible round for me so far.  I got close points for the Tottenham/Wolverhampton match, and goose eggs for the rest of the early matches.  If the Gunners and Bournemouth hold on to the current score, I'll exact points and win my bet on the match.  Fingers crossed.

It was the same for me.I first started with a close result for the Tottenham game and was expecting Everton first win but judging from their performance in their three games most likely they will fight for relegation together with Manchester United this season.I got 3 close results in total together with Crystal Palace and Arsenal, not the best week for me but I am happy that found 50% of the games correctly.

Totally different players Casimero and De Jong.  It just shows that Man United doesn't really have a solid plan when they're making these acquisitions.  It's like there's no short term plan, medium term plan and long term plan.  Can't sign De Jong?  No problem, let's acquire Casimero...  Wtf?  It makes no sense cos they're two very different players.  What was the real plan to begin with?

Oh and he's old.  Could be like the Varane acquistion who turned out to be not that good for United as he's riddled with injuries.
I don't think they are old. Varane is 29 which is probably just about prime time for defender since they benefit a lot from experience and don't loose as much if they are a bit slower than when they were 22, it is more than compensated with better positioning and reading of the game. Casemiro is 30 which is getting towards old but still in modern football players last longer so I am thinking 4 seasons of top football should not be a problem, probably even more.

So short/medium term plan should be covered and long plan is maybe a bit too much for them to handle at the moment. And I can't blame when they bring defensive midfielder after conceding 4 goals against Brentford  Grin

It is going to be a really very exciting thing to watch Casemiro wearing Manchester United jersey. Manchester United are prepared to sacrifice this much high amount of money for a 30-year-old player. And this shows how desperate the team are now. If it weren't for the disastrous results in the last two league matches, Erik ten Hag wouldn't want a player who has a profile like Casemiro. Because during the whole summer Manchester United's name was being called with Frenkie de Jong.

I think Manchester United got a much better signing in Casemiro then they would with De Jong. Casemiro has that experience and played for Real Madrid for such a long time and now he will play again with Ronaldo and Varane so this will be a good connection . Man Utd got an amazing transfer deal

@KTChampions indeed, if I weren't Liverpool-biased, I'd be putting United down all day any day for odds above 5/1 in the EPL. God knows I suckered myself into Manchester derbies (though I do remember a sweet 10/1 inspired win). They have never been this bad though... in my lifetime anyway. Might actually put a dollar on them for relegation if they lose heh.

@toma Yeah I'm doing a BB for sure!

i also expect a liverpool win and i would go a bit further and just go for the -1 handicap @2. worst case scenario it's 2-1 liverpool and you get your money back. But @2 odds without boost is very attractive

Ronaldo, Varane, Casemiro now...
friendly reminder that among those three players there are 6 champions leagues, several league titles, a few nations league, 1 euro cup, 1 world cup, copa america, tons experience in the biggest stages of football, etc, etc... oh and their captain will be Harry Maguire 🤭

The thing that is really wierd for me after so many mistake by Maguire he still plays while a guy who won the champions league so many time is on the bench. Varane must play infront of Maguire any day of the night. I dont know if Maguire has in his contract that he has to play but this is really starting to be funny.

Liverpool over 1.6 to beat United, value odds for me, so I placed something a bit silly, might even top it up on Monday itself.

Surely they can't NOT win for 3 games in a row, but surely United would say they can't lose 3 opening games in a row... something has to give. Football drama is just so wonderful isn't it guys?

Ronaldo, Sancho, Varane, Casemiro now... if that doesn't strike fear into our hearts, what will? Like Welsh says, he's brought in to stabilise the ship, much in sync with every buy thus far. But the ship's missing a rudder, don't matter how many great sailors you put on it.

Long live Glazers =D

In my opinion, in this match, the value bet is a bet on United. By the way, the arrival of Casemiro did not affect the odds in any way, which means that the value has grown. It's funny that this game will be the last one in the tour, and perhaps its outcome will depend on who gets the yellow cap. If the weekend goes well for me then I will bet on United - let it all be at stake - the pool, the money and the path of the clubs!  Cheesy

Shows a similar pattern to what they've gone for in the past. Even if Casemiro turns out good, which to be honest he probably will, he's still surrounded in the players they've currently got, which are under performing, and clearly don't want to be there.

By the time United ship out that dead wood, Casemiro their big signing would be at the tail end of his career. So, it's a lot of money for a player which will likely stabilise the ship a little, but won't completely save it from sinking.

Thiago is a key player for Liverpool, but we've been really hit hard with the injuries. If we had Jota, and at least one other midfielder right now, I don't think we'd be in the position we are in. Injuries are telling to story in these results, and having to rely on a new signing isn't always the best option. Well, if you look at how Klopp normally handles new signings, apart from VVD, basically everyone he has signed has a bedding in period before becoming a first team player. So, Nunes didn't have that option.

I'm still confident against United, I might have to adjust my scoring system as I wasn't expecting some of the dire performances we've seen as of recent, and I was looking forward to seeing Nunez play against United, but I guess a similar thing would've happened with his attitude at the moment.

So Arsenal didnt win the first three games of the season since the 2003/2004 season. Really impressive, because are not so many games.

I really miss the old Arsenal Stadium, i hate the new ones London stadiums, yes they have more capacity but their lack of the mistic and the soul. I miss Highbury, with the people really close and the red tipicall english bricks in some places. Also i miss saw the White hard lane another tipicall english stadium. Its like i know if im going to see Fulham i see that tribune what its like and old train station. I dont want to lose that for a shit same desing in all the stadiums.

In addition, the same thoughts can be applied to the third defeat in a row for United - zero points after the first three rounds - something unbelievable for what one may say is not the last team in the Premier League.

anything can happen in this match, but Liverpool is closer to a win, and odds @1.6 are value bets, no matter current placement for both teams
United is simply playing miserably, and you cannot hang on name to play against PL teams, all those are playing great football, and Liverpool is playing better than most PL teams

I would assume that @1.6 is on Derby status, if there was not a Derby status, it will probably be @1.4 or similar

At first glance I thought Liverpool was winning this one easy, judging by how Man United was playing their first couple of matches of the season.  But Liverpool will be without some of their key players like Nunez, Jota, Firminho and is Thiago a key player?  I think he's supposed to be this season...  He's out too.  And they're playing at Old Trafford.  So that shouls be a factor going to United's favor too.  I think there a slight chance that it could be a draw.  :/

I'd be picking Liverpool to win at the pool tho.  Bet from a betting perspective I'd be wary of picking them.
Maybe I'll get burned in the end but I see this as very easy match for Liverpool. I will have ML on all my serious tickets and probably some handicaps on just for fun tickets. I am also planing to take highest possible handicap that Sportsbet will offer cause United lost 4:0 and 5:0 last season and they were in better form then. Granted Liverpool was in better shape as well.

I don't see anybody writing about it but it seems United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for 60M, could get up to 70M with bonuses. He got double his current salary but I forgot the number. Memes are already flying around the twitter...good times.

Maybe you're right (we'll never know) but that sounds highly dubious to me. In the previous two games, Liverpool were quoted at odds of 1.22 and 1.20, but both games ended in draws. The difference between 1.2 and 1.6 is 20%. Do you think United are only 20% better than Fulham or Crystal Palace? And did you count those odds (1.22 and 1.2) as value?

Manchester United were giving good signals in the preparation phase. I was thinking that they would do a good work with their new manager Erik ten Hag. In fact I even bet with swogerino over Manchester United to finish the league above Arsenal (I'm totally an idiot 😂). Ronaldo's condition must be affecting the in-team atmosphere negatively as well. However I think they won't give up against Liverpool that easy this week.

I expected a lot more from Manchester United this season . When i saw the pre-season i was thinking they were gonna fight for the title but now when i see them they will fight not to get relegated. Teams like Brentford and Brighton destroyed them in the league and this cannot happen to such a big team
