The depressing thing about Manchester united opening game is that even the coach went out in public to say team is not ready even before the ball is kicked, like wtf Cry

Maybe it's ETH playing mind games to take away the pressure from the team, but imo that's the worst approach you would go for to try get the boys ready to have some fun!
All in all I see this game going in favor of United with less than 2.5 goals to happen.

Maybe best not to discuss what picks are, will give those yet to pick or yet to lock their selections an idea of what the majority is going for. That is fairly predictable for this match but may not be in other matches. This is just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just caught up in the excitement of rejoining the pool. The last time I did something like this on the forum was 2019 I think. Next time I'll be more careful, the picks will be taken out of the discussion especially what others picks will not be hinted here too, my bad. Apologies everyone

Ps: editing that right away.

I'm bored of refreshing News for Osimhen and Felix updates; if it were some random youngsters from South America, the transaction would be done by now. We created too many opportunities last season without a competent striker to capitalise on them.

Guess what, Todd Boehly isn't interested in these players that's why the deals aren't going smoothly, when it's a player of interest to him, he gets it done without anybody knowing anything. You'll just have to wake up with the news that, this or that player has been signed. The only reason this deals is getting more greenlight is because the coaching staff has given the greenlight and to make the fans happy, they're now going beyond their plans. Don't be surprised if the deal doesn't go through until the window close.

A win could be 10-0, 5-0, 4-0, 10-1 so it wouldn't help anyone since we're dealing with CS and not 1x2 formats. The thread is for discussion, banter and game analysis for those who want to place a bet. Allow him to cook.
Yeah, but if I wanted to take a risk with the underdog, I will feel safer knowing a lot of people are taking a similar risk, if it goes south I do not lose too much ground. But when I am in the <2% percentile, I may not be so eager.

I cannot wait for banter material Chelsea gives us this season  Grin

Osimhen would be a good signing for you guys, you need a top striker. Despite all the money you’ve spent you don’t really have an elite goalscorer. Jackson is crap but Nkunku should do better this season, he was very unlucky with the injury.

So yeah, I think Osimhen would be a good buy but I would stay away from Felix. That brother has been floating around, failing on loan for years.

Thanks for the reminder, just did mine too and looking at others pick, everybody seems to be giving Manchester united the win.

There's always a surprise with Onana;
He seems to focus more on stirring up drama than his job to keep the ball out of his goal.

ETH has a special spot for his Ajax old school boys; they do everything and get away with it. Onana made so many mistakes at Ajax and got away with it, so I'm not surprised. Since his arrival, Onana has done more clowning, foolish blunders and caused more trouble than Sancho ever did.

Onana to conceed the first goal of the season wont be a bad bet for today

I'm very excited that the Premier League is about to start again. Frankly, I have missed the Premier League very much when we think that Euro 2024 which was organized this summer was very boring as well. I'm quite curious about the performances of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea this season.I think that Manchester United are going to win comfortably tomorrow.

I'm excited for tomorrow's game; no more boring weekends. There's always a surprise with Onana; I expect them to win, but not easily; Fulham on the first day will make it even more difficult for them. I'm tempted to go with a 2-1 CS at @7.20; low odd for such a risk but it's worth taking. ....

I will have a very busy schedule with work and everything else, and I wish I could join all SB pools but this wont be easy, so I had to join this Premier League pool.
Entry fee paid and I already made my predictions for Round 1 on Superbru website.
Good luck guys and dont make mistake of waiting for last minute to make your predictions Wink

Thanks for the reminder, just did mine too and I hope my pick favours me for the points and not let me down by allowing a weaker team to win.
First games of the season aren't the easiest to predict correctly because we don't have present stats to look at and our judgement will be based on past stats that might not be relevant.
Pre Season performance isn't something to rely on either but then looking at Manchester united performance against City, giving united the win just seems right. Goodluck to everyone.

I see our skipper just destroyed our pool, redesigning things boss? 31 members have paid up, I think a few more promised already so we should still see a healthy number of people. Always needs some encouragement eh?

Oh and Sportsbet has delicious new EPL outright markets to win free money on:

Liverpool to win the title 8/1
City to relegate 17/1
Chelski to follow City into Championship 21/1.

That's an unrealistic outcome; we already know City will win the league, Chelsea won't be relegated, and Liverpool won't win any silverware next season. It's strange that you're donating money on those odds.

Liverpool should sack the club project PowerPoint presenter; the fact that players continue to reject club projects is a major issue. Liverpool offered X2 of what Real Sociedad offered.

Gallagher back to London - treating our assistant captain like piece of shit. Bad.

I'm going all in on Chelsea on opening day Ige.

Manchester city attack are rusty and raw without KDB in the midfield but our CBs are worse, none of those players learn anything from Silva, all over hype average shits.

I can trust our attack to score 1.5 goals @ 2.45 Odd

Zubimendi rejected Liverpool to sign a contract extension. Liverpool pull sucks - why do players reject Liverpool? Check my previous posts.. Grin

I hope your boss shouts at them with the same fervour as you. Sometimes I think some managers just don't have it in them to get stern with little boy wonders who then don't know how to put steel into their game. I'm gunning for a BTTS Chelsea win, but I'm more certain in Chelsea scoring over 1.5 as well. Might do a Betbuilder for double chance Chelsea, over 1.5 goals and scoring both halves.

Why do players reject Liverpool? Because they never feel it's prestigious enough for their resume haha. We've never been a Galacticos, we manufacture them lovingly from regular athletes Wink

I'm going all in on Chelsea on opening day Ige. I wasn't impressed with what I saw during Community Shield (but City are consistently bad in that fixture) and I know it means nothing going up against Chelsea, but I also feel you guys have got to start clicking at some point. No better game than this one.

The real match of the week for me though? Foxes vs Spurs!

The 6 year deals is the part of Chelsea's transfers I have never understood and it seems to be creeping into some other clubs as well.

I really hope they cannot keep Neto fit next season, he is a beautiful player. Potentially their best signing of the past 2-3 years for me if everything turns out right.
Also with the number of strikers available to them, why the hell do they still want Joao Felix?

Squad depth and  to make Gallagher deal goes through after Samu deal collapsed - Joao Felix at 40m and wage reduction is a big steal, he can also provide competition to the LW position.

Raheem sterling could also be going out if we secure J. Felix and Osimhen.

These are baby steps of pain, but I believe that when it all clicks together, Chelsea will be ahead of every club in Europe, and every top-tier club will have 1-2 of our players on their roster, just as it was a few years ago.
I think your management rates performances in the financial room over that on the pitch.

With some players that have left the club, that means Chelsea senior squad now has 43 players. And the list above doesn't really scream quality. I mean Neto is good player but not sure if he is that much better than what was already in the club. And most of those guys, I never heard about.

Only Neto, DBW, Jorgensen, and Veiga play for the main team; the rest are on long-term loan at their respective clubs. These are baby steps of pain, but I believe that when it all clicks together, Chelsea will be ahead of every club in Europe, and every top-tier club will have 1-2 of our players on their roster, just as it was a few years ago.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester city were all over Neto since last season and I didn't see such remake from you. Lol

Yup, it's getting ridiculous.
I don't understand Neto - why go there at all? Money is the only logical reason, and you don't want a player who sees you just as a milking cow.

Give it a break, when it comes to Chelsea, it's all about money, yet Caicedo chose us over Liverpool, Mudryk chose us over Arsenal and these lads are earning way lesser than what you lots proposed to them. We are a much bigger club in the 21st century, whether you believe it or not. Most younger players would always chose us over Liverpool and Arsenal, and this is a reality.

Please welcome me! lol This is my first time joining one of the sportsbet.io football pools. I've been seeing this for years here on bitcointalk, but it's only now that I've become interested in joining. I even considered canceling my sign up, but it's okay—I'll continue it. It's all about enjoying the experience, even though I'm not a huge football fan, especially English Premier League. I do place bets on the EPL sometimes, especially if I have some extra money to bet. lol. Anyway good luck to all of us who joined!

Meh.
It's like a kid playing FM - they have 7!! senior goalkeepers on their books.

This part is crazy, I wanted to pick up a Chelsea goalkeeper for fantasy but it's just impossible to tell who will be the first choice with rumors about buying more of them any minute now too. Insanity!
