You think spending all your time in airports and checkins is fun?
I think you are watching to much movies bro  Grin

No bro not movies but I don't see how spending only few minutes at the airport is going to be a problem. The current set of officials are so ass.

Lol if we get a ref in EPL from Bitcointalk, we would be so crazy yolo over that man.

@Igebotz if you are seriously considering it, we will raise funds for you. 100 satoshi from me guaranteed. I wanna see you show a red card to Pep. Just don't snort coke and let someone video it man seriously.

No man, My gambling records and habits would not allow it; I swear if I ever become a referee, I will make all of my friends richer by offering free booking odds every weekend.  Grin

Looking at the fixtures, this could be another week for Liverpool where Arsenal and City drop points with the opponents they are up against, we are both at home so that should count for something but nothing more than a convincing win will help the recent bad form.

You think Southampton stand a chance to get a point from Liverpool? We will be needing some impossible results to get back in the title race.

- Jay -

8 or 9 times out of 10 Liverpool will beat Southampton. You can never be totally certain though, football is played on a pitch, not on paper.

We only lost 1 game in the PL so far this season and it was directly after an international break (to Nottingham Forest). So coming back from an international break can potentially disrupt rhythm.

If I had a gun to my head, I would say Liverpool win but who knows. Arsenal should beat Forest, surely they have to start slipping up soon. Chris Wood is not Haaland, surely his purple patch will be over. I think Man City will win too to be honest.

Last few days of yet another international break. I’m kinda sick of moaning about it but it’s the third international break of the season which has only been going for three months, ridiculous really. Something has to be done about it soon, total disruption to club football.

Any way, the real action is back this weekend. Here are the fixtures -

I would assume they are traveling by a plane and there isn't that much difference if you are traveling from one side of England to the other or to some close by country like France. It's not like they are referring in their home town every weekend.
England and UK are not in the EU so there is a difference, and they dont always fly with the plane in Premier League.

If I could fly abroad for work every weekend and return to my family the same weekend, I would gladly take it. Not a big deal.

But if you like the job there is a guide how to become a referee with The FA:

Isn't it just better to swap countries? I mean if you are big United supporter and you hate Liverpool you shouldn't be refereeing in England but why not trying your luck in Germany or Spain.
With the quality of officiating in the league I do not think many referees will actually make it into other leagues very easily.

On the circulating video, it was not exactly about liking or disliking a particular club, but even if a referee has a favorite club, at this level of the game they should be able to stay professional and do their jobs. If they cannot do that, there are so many more events that can affect their decisions on a regular basis.

A ref having few mistake is no biggie but when it become repeated and a pattern then they have no excuse and should be punished. Maybe you're on to something right there, referee of other sports should ref other sports lol. I can't just imagine how chaotic this decision will be.

Right? But ya, it would be chaotic but it would reduce so much problems in ALL the sports.

If you ask me to referee tennis for example, I would be so super not biased as I don't support anybody. Or F1 lol

And I bet if you asked NFL referee to judge cricket, nobody would say he is biased towards any team.

All referees hate some clubs. All football fans hate one or two or more clubs. Its okay to say it, I hate Real Madrid. I don't think we should punish people so badly for having passion.
Hating some club and coach is not that important for him like taking drugs  Grin

Trust me 50% of these high paid refs, football players etc take drugs lol. 90% of my colleagues are taking some kind of drug when they party, and I know they see a lot of semi famous athletes at these parties Wink

Then if they get caught (its random testing so you are unlucky to get caught) they blame it on some tea or some vitamin supplement lol

Premier League is back this weekend; Chelsea and Manutd win against Leicester City and Ipwish are such a good odds. Best value bet this weekend.

Damn, I have a freebet from the Mike Tyson promo but I can't use it on that match! SB should make freebets at least 1 week expiry. So I went here instead.

You know refs have their work outside football right?
They are not going to travel to other countries each weekend just because they dont like some clubs.
But in case of David Coote maybe he finds drugs easier in Italy or Spain than in UK Wink

I agree absolutely but problem is it gets really hard for most people to objective about stuff they love/hate. just look at you and Chelsea  Grin Sorry had to take that jab

There should be some kind of way for ref to admit that and that doesn't screw with his career. This way nobody is crazy to do it.

The only difference between our two is my emotions and love for Chelsea will not affect outcome of our games. Thanks for the jab  Grin

The best way to prevent favouritism is for FiFa to rotate these officials every season. Italian and French referees go to England; Spanish and English referees go to the French league, and so on.

BUT at the same time, I would personally declare that I can't referee any game in Spain. Ask cricket people to referee football and football people to referee cricket. This is my final solution Wink

Referee aren't robots but are humans too so they're going to have their emotions get in the way sometimes but they're professional so they should try to keep things professional to the best of their strength.

But on a serious note there are things that can be done to reduced the ref bias that we see in games. All refs should be interviewed and they should get to know which team they support so they don't get to refs such matches.

Well here we are in another boring international break as I long for the return of club football. A trip to Southampton for Slot’s men upon the return. Should be another 3 points but this is a tough league.
There are no other matches besides the UEFA Nation League... We have to enjoy this match, because it's too boring with a two-week break.

Going to Southampton should not be difficult, this team is quite weak until now only collected 4 points, Liverpool should have no obstacles to get 3 points.

Did you hear about the news for one of the referees in Premier League David Coote and his drug powder snorting scandal?
He is known for hating Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool so maybe you know about him.
Yes I heard about referee David Coote in the video, he is suspended and under investigation.
Can't imagine if Liverpool win this season, maybe David Coote will be hot. Grin

He gets paid to keep matches balanced and to ensure that his decisions do not affect the outcome of the game; his emotions and affection for certain clubs are secondary and should be kept to himself; his job does not allow for that. BTW, he never claimed he hated Liverpool; he simply hates Klopp for reasons known to him, but Klopp is no longer with us.

Attack of super boring nations league, so let me try to break it with one question.
Did you hear about the news for one of the referees in Premier League David Coote and his drug powder snorting scandal?

Hehe yeah its been old news already.

Personally, I support what Roy Keane said.

So it seems the hearing for the Man City charges are concluding this month. Not that we'll get any decision as City are sure to appeal (the news seems to suggest they are about to be found guilty on a whole lot of the charges) to drag this out over the season end. I have a dumb bet on City relegation so heh, that's out the window.

Isn't it too early for title contention discussion? We still have Brighton and Nottingham forest occupying important slots on the table.

Always too early. Remember City even look in trouble as late as January and February before mounting a spree of wins. City, Arsenal, hopefully Liverpool are all capable of these 8/9/10 game winning streak so it's too early. Always has been in November, always will be.
