Everything went LFC's way in this round, fantastic end of this run of difficult games for us.
Now to recharge during the international break, if somebody returns injured I'm gonna be so pissed.

Sitting on top with a 5-point gap and 6 goals conceded in 11 games is something nobody could hope for. Truly fantastic start from Slot, I feel like a parrot repeating it round after round.

The updated pool table after this round of fixtures (the top 10).

It is so close.

The pool is really close and it wasnt ever like this. All top 25 players have a shot at the top and things are changing always. I was able to reach top 10 but last two round knocked me down snd some really unlucky results for me and was only away 10 points away from first place now back to 15 Sad

@un_rank do you like the result?
We approach every match with the intention to win it so it is a disappointment not to come away with all the points especially when we took the lead, too many points have been lost from winning positions this season. A draw at the Bridge is a good result in the grand scheme of things, proud of the performance of the boys.

Disappointed with how we conceded, from controlling the majority of the game to conceding the opening goal. Our offside trap has been terrible in recent games; there is always someone who keeps the opponent players on at the far corner of the post. Arteta, with his regular five defenders on the pitch tactics, earned a good result to be proud of, whereas our boys were wasteful throughout the game. We deserved better, but we're glad we didn't lose and didn't allow snake Haventz score at the bridge.

3rd before another international break is a good motivation to come back stronger.

Ipswich punishing Spurs right now. That Ange ball thing is so difficult to understand, isn't it?

But Bruno getting 2 goals after not scoring since... I don't remember? Guess Amorim's coming to a prepped United.

The Angeball died after 7 games last season, we all enjoyed the hype while it lasted, now they're back to being Spursy again.

Manutd should cancel Amorim contract and give Ruud a chance till January, he's building something right there. It would be unfair to get him off the hook at this pace. This could be another Carrick to ETH situation.

Interestingly I did not notice anyone supports City in this discussion. I am sure there are many but I missed all of them so far. 5 points ahead. Can we stay motivated?

But strangely I see here that the Manchester City squad is not much injured except Rodri, but why Pep Guardiola did not play his important players?

Like I said, Pep's always known even his B squad is good enough, so injury is what they're prepared for. He plays it up so much.

Problem now is a confluence of injuries that absolutely includes Rodri as the key part. Rodri winning Ballon d'Or doesn't seem so strange any more does it? We all knew at least two seasons ago he was central to them winning. Their losses last season, I recall in the Prem was when he wasn't playing. If that doesn't mean that he's almost solely responsible for City being a winning machine I don't know what is.

My theory was that Man City plays much worse without De Bruyne, but he entered in this match as substitution and it didnt help them.
They miss Rodri more in my opinion and they also have a crisis in their defense without Akanji and Dias which leads to them conceding some cheap goals and not being able to control games in its entirety. They have bursts of brilliance but cannot maintain the same intensity throughout the match and hence, 4 losses on the bounce.

Manchester City in drought... the storm continues to hit this is due to many players injured is it possible due to the effects of a busy schedule?

Damn I cant believe Man City lost in this way after they scored the first goal  Shocked

Not the first time this is happening this season, last week in the champions league, they also lost to sporting after scoring first. Man city is crumbling before our eyes and this might just be the reason that Pep needed to end his stay at city. Do anybody think City is going to comeback from this bad form that they're on. Losing how many games now back to back, the confidence of the players will also be dieing off. Look how angry Haaland was today. I know he doesn't have a good character on the field but today owns was just annoying and it'll be due to frustration. He keeps getting the goal but one isn't enough to win games for city. More goals is needed from Haaland, he needs to step up more that the club needs it.

Brighton scored both goals right after De Bruyne entered the pitch, and Joao Pedro played a great match.
Everything played out perfectly for Liverpool to keep the top position now.

Aston Villa can be dangerous, they have pace and power on the break but I would expect 3 points for Slot’s Red Machine tomorrow. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t win.
You will not be disappointed, as Liverpool will win already leading 1 goal in the first half before halftime.
You'll be happy to come home from Anfield knowing that Manchester City lost and Liverpool will win. Cheesy

It's crazy that Arne Slot took Liverpool far away from Manchester City.

Pep must be melting inside. He said it so many times over the past seasons that they were in an injury crisis I think they really did start to believe in it and play like it. Subbing KdB in late also doesn't help anymore -- in fact, 9 minutes after he came on the lead they were trying to protect evaporated.

Who else is enjoying this blue meltdown? Haaland's on my FPL but I cheered on that final playground tustle yellow. Haha. Such a big shame we'll only get to meet them 3 weeks from now. Plenty of time for them to reboot, recover, and trounce Spurs.

P.S. City always do falter early season, so this isn't a surprise. Just perhaps been such a long time since I saw them lose 4 games on the trot. I don't think it's ever happened in Pep's time, has it?
Before game I was a bit surprised when I saw 1.80 odds for City, thought that's a bit too high. So, for the first time in whole career Pep suffered 4 losses in a row. Not that I'm happy for City meltdown cuz I love Pep, but their dominance is just boring. Break comes at right time for City, but most of players won't have much time to recover as they will play for nationals time.
Now LFC against Villa, should be good game and I'm jumping between this game and Torino derby.

Grateful for that Halaand's goal, disappointed Welbeck wasn't on the score sheet - EPL benefits.

When is Pep getting sacked? This is unacceptable results!!! Why are City fans not calling for his resignation? ETH didn't even lose 4 games in a row did he?? He's not the man for the job  Grin

City game starting soon. Not in the best form currently and I am thinking Brihgton will like their chances to take them on at this exact moment. That will also leave some space for City so i am expecting a really good game here.

We are portrayed as heavy favorites against Villa tonight, and no matter their offensive quality I feel it is a game that should suit us.
Villa is good, but their bench is short and they are already having issues with handling both Europe and PL.

This is the last game before the break, I feel we'll win it on energy alone if we have to.

I think Liverpool really have momentum right now. Aston Villa are in a little bit of bad form, I’m hoping Liverpool punish them with a commanding win.
As Liverpool has full strength at Anfield, Bayern Leverkusen class was slaughtered with many scores without the opponent scoring, but this time Liverpool can win to be even more superior.

This match is in my time zone at midnight... early morning. Sad

On Man Utd, I really don’t know what to think about them. Since Ferguson they’ve spent so much money. They have repeatedly sacked coaches and replaced them with winners, who then go on to flop. Is it the pressure of managing United that makes them all underperform? Louis Van Gaal, Mourinho, Ten Haag are all multiple trophy winning managers. They go to Man Utd and flop. Is Amorim any different, time will tell.
It's hard to think about Man United... This team is like a curse where every great coach comes always fails, whether now Amorin comes whether he can bring glory again? This is still a speculation... Amorin's road record is quite good but keep in mind the Premier League competition is tight any great coach will find it difficult here.
