You were +8 points ahead of Manchester City at this stage in the 2021/2022 season and ended up losing the league to Citeh. I'm not saying it will be the same this season, but with the level of your performance this season, would you guys be able to maintain the lead for too long?

To be honest, I don't feel like we're ready for it. If we were playing against City from 2021-22 season, I would tell you that this LFC won't be able to sustain the challenge.
However - City looks terrible and if they don't win at Anfield the difference will remain big - if they lose it turns to 11 points. Arsenal doesn't impress me as well.

Therefore you won't need 90+ points for the title and yes - we can surely start acting like one of the main contenders. I really hope we try to go for a top-class midfielder in the January window though.

Overall, a terrible LFC performance. Usually we have some kind of idea what to do with the ball, with their narrow 5 at the back we simply crossed it in without any success or started shooting from 20 yards out.
Am truly disappointed with the level of performance (especially conceding twice), but the points are all that counts. Let's move on, City at Anfield will be awesome.

Big surprise to see Ipswich getting a draw against Manchester United, but this was important point for them in survival race.
Liverpool seem to be cruising with autopilot in Premier League and they are making bigger advantage from other teams.
My performance in superbru is not worth mentioning, but there is one more match left to play.
Any predictions for Newcastle vs West Ham?

All goals Southampton conceded were very silly and is not acceptable at this stage of the game. They are one team i am sure will definitely be going down come end of the season.

Yup, gave us a lifeline when we needed it the most. That handball for the penalty is ridiculous.

How in the earth I get so many wrong picks LOL
I don't mind not to have any point from the City match, Wolves were an upset but others! I always find myself with the wrong side. This pool is not going well with me for the last few years 😔

You are not the only one. Most of us missed all of the picks. I somehow improved by one position in this round. Was expecting to drop at least couple of spots but ended up improving so i think everyone in this round messed up and it pretty much even. So you didnt lose much points in this round

Well, might have spoken too soon about LFC, that hand ball penalty gave them the lead.

Is that right?  Just the two of us here?  That seems wrong on so many levels.

Honestly, the only reason I'm and gooners fan is because I'm American and they have a gun on their crest.  It's the coolest fucking crest in all of soccer!  I've never been to England, but visiting long enough to see a live match at Emirates Stadium is on my bucket list.
There may be some other silent ones, who knows?

It is the coolest one in the league and we got the coolest nickname too.

It is still too early but can we hope for the title this year 😂
It's very possible. We can expect another three points tomorrow against Southampton, can't we?

Man, don't ever, ever say anything about title hopes, definitely not in November, definitely with not half of the season gone. Remember, Liverpool are the only team in Prem history to lead by Christmas and not win.

We're a goal up, but it was a gift.

Edit: See, now Saints got a weird, weird penalty.
We did not give up. Full three points at the end.

Yeah but this time we need to have good point difference so that at the end of the season a few draw and a few lose does not make any difference. I City starts becoming strong as the league progress. That's where I fear.

By New years will be something remarkable, I will be happy if we are within 2-3 points off the top of the table.

You are the first other Arsenal fan I have seen here, nice to not be alone.

I would be nice to see Arsenal at the top of the table by New Years.  And even better at the end of May!

We have six very winnable fixtures coming up to finish off 2024.
Yes, if we are to actually push for the title getting all points available this year will be pivotal and is very doable. You are the first other Arsenal fan I have seen here, nice to not be alone.

Might be a good weekend for the goonerz.

I was just thinking the same thing.  Arsenal seems to have come out of their rough spell, City is deep in theirs.  Is it LFC's turn?  I would be nice to see Arsenal at the top of the table by New Years.  And even better at the end of May!  We have six very winnable fixtures coming up to finish off 2024.

Man City without Rodri is just bad. I think if they end up in top 4 they should be satisfied.
And losing Kovacic means they do not have any replacements and will have to use a makeshift midfield against Liverpool at Anfield next week. As an Arsenal fan, I hope they draw and take points away from each other.

Southampton looks to have learnt their lesson this second half and are clearing the ball out of dangerous situations more often and just as I was typing this, they have scored to take the lead. Might be a good weekend for the goonerz.

I feel hard done by. There haven't been good odds against City in any of those 5 games (not to me anyway). So I usually bet against them, but not on any of these, since they have been expected to face tough games. Shame!

City 5 straight losses in a row, what the hell is happening there?
The second clown is like Manchester United.

Liverpool goes 8 points clear at the top of the table with a win tomorrow.
Please God don't make us fuck this up, Southampton is by far the worst team in the league.
If we get a point tonight against Southampton, then the points lead will be 8 for Liverpool. We have to be ready to take it later.

LFC_Bitcoin is probably laughing at the Manchester City result. Cheesy

I'm not a fan of the EPL, but since I'm part of the Sportsbet.io pool, I stay updated on the standings, including Man City's performance. This current matchday delivered an unexpected result—no one predicted a 0-4 loss on their homecourt advantage. I feel like this isn't the end, and we might see more losses and upsets in Man City's upcoming games.

Man City without Rodri is just bad. I think if they end up in top 4 they should be satisfied. I dont know how they will get out of this crisis soon. To lose that heavily at home is just insane and i think i didnt see that in a long time from them. The question now is do we chase the Man City win or just push them into the mud and bet opposite.

I guess this contract extension didn't work to boost the morale, after 20 minutes they are down by 2 goals.
I guess not  Cry
Manchester City should be renamed Titanic City after losing today from Tottenham with 4 goals, they are sinking deeper with every new match and I didnt expect to see this outcome.
Poor results for my predictions in Premier League today, only 4 points in Superbru is not enough to keep me in race for top places.
I need a miracle exact predictions in next three matches.

You jinxed them  Grin
It is going to be interesting to see how they perform against Feyenoord in Champions League starting in just few days.

City 5 straight losses in a row, what the hell is happening there?

Things we never thought we could see with Pep managing man city, what makes this stats less exciting is that Pep just signed a contract extension, assuming this was his last season it would had been a justifying reason to call it a time in the premier league and go try something different. Pep has now lost against Tottenham the most in his career.

With your defense? I doubt you guys are going to fuck it up. Liverpool definitely winning with 2 or more goals.

Even 4 losses in a row was soimething what didn't happened in whole Pep's career. I expected that international break will help them a bit, but seems that nothing has changed.
Naturally a team of City's caliber isn't allowed to lose 3 games back to back, thats one too many losses...playing like it's a fixed match wtf...everyone has some explaining to do tbh!

Interesting thing that Pep signed contract extension recently and it happened during worst period in his career.
Am looking forward to hearing and seeing how City supporters will respond after this...whatever is going on with the citizens can be addressed by the coach alone...the 12th player has to show their support than ever before...

Btw that 1year extention tells me his time with City could be coming to an end, and that 1 year is time given to management to find their next guy, otherwise it's end of an era at citeh.

I'm not City hater, but I'm glad about these results, just because City dominance is just boooring.
Sometimes such results are good for the other teams to believe that the invisibles can be beaten too lol.
