If United concedes more than one goal tonight I would sell their whole defense and buy a new better one for 10% of the cost Smiley
guess who's playing as a CB? Phil Jones  Lips sealed

literally my face when i saw his name in the starting XI

it's been two years since he last played a game with United...they could totally concede some goals tonight,, gonna be interesting to watch, hopefully no meme worthy performance today, i'd feel bad for him tbqh

Wolves vs Manchester United, probably the most confident I've been for a game this week. Wolves will either win it by a goal or two, or get the draw. I don't see Man Utd getting any three points from this game, been far too inconsistent, with a leaky defense, and Wolves have been the opposite, fantastic defensive record, and I think they'll find it easy to beat the Man Utd defenders tonight.
I am thinking United has this, they have to start winning in a row somewhere and while I agree that Wolves are good in defense they were terrible going forward. I watched them in couple of games and they had no plan how to score. Jimenez is not what he was before the injury and the rest are just not clinical in front of the goal. They miss that last pass or shot to finish the action.

Couple of us already wandered who is tumi but it seems like it will be one of those shadow players who are here for the contest rather then forum Smiley

I watched just first 30 minutes of Chelsea - Liverpool since I went to play football later on. It was one of the worst defensive displays I have seen in a long time. Before Mane scored first goal there were already 2 big mistakes that should have ended with goals. I heard that Kovačić scored a real beauty, will have to find that one somewhere to take a look at it. Our media is prone to overstatements regarding our players, both when something good or bad happens.

Maybe he'll check in when/if he claims a prize end of season. Would have loved to convert another person to the forum Wink

Kovacic goal? Yes, begrudgingly saying it was nice. He probably didn't even expect it to loop so beautifully. Like Welsh said: no keeper would have saved it.

I took Wolves at 6.66+ on Super Boost. I'm not sure there's anything left to comfort me this month except betting against United, Chelski, Citeh. Sorry Gooners, but we need to punish you in EFL.

It was a good goal, and we looked a little shell shocked after it. I knew something was coming, I just wasn't expecting that goal. It was hit perfectly, and while it was a slight bit of luck on it with him slightly glancing the ball, it was inch perfect. Made it impossible for Kellecher or any goalkeeper for that matter to save.

No, it was a really good goal unfortunately. I think a neutral fan would have really enjoyed the game. As a big red, unfortunately I did not. Only winner yesterday was Man City because both teams dropped points.

West Ham joining the fight for CL positions once again and they have an easy fixture vs. Norwich in couple of days. Crystal Palace was dangerous whole game but first half result was really unfair for them. I am glad they managed to claw two goals back but too bad they did not manage to that a bit earlier so we can enjoy some good football.

I think they were the favorites,,, but you are right, such bad luck to end up 3 goals down especially when you see the penalty. I saw the replay but how the hell can you avoid handball when you are jumping up (hands down and to your side) but the ball bounces in a weird way to your arm. No matter how his arms was up down behind the ball would have touched it. And no player near him anyway so what.

2-0 and it would be an even greater game.

That mistake by Alexander-Arnold was quite a scare, I was sure that was going to be a goal for Pulisic.  Excellent save by Kelleher but overall I agree, defense was abysmal today.  They seemed to look better coming out in the second half and I was sure I was going to nail my prediction.  I was even lulled into placing a ML bet on the Reds to take it.   Undecided

Could have taken the first place for this week for sure if leeds stayed 2-1 and they scored a late goal and kill my hope for this round. Same goes for Brentford ,was so close to winning that bet aswell. But again in top 5 for this round aswell and now pushed myself to 8th position and really happy so far with it. Just 10 points away from first position.

@tumi man, I thought I got the better of you with my 3-1 West Ham prediction but Palace HAD to get the other goal heh. Great win for most of us anyway, considering the odds.

~snip

congrats to both on West Ham win, I did not expect it from them
by the way, who is @tumi, did not catch his posts in this topic

regarding Chelsea and Liverpool, it finished worst for both teams, they almost inaugurated City tonight, since it is 10 points to Chelsea, and 11 with game more from Liverpool

After failing to get 0 points in the first three games of today I at least got a correct score in the Liverpool which made up a bit for me.I have been doing really bad during the tight schedule from December up to now and the one who does not get good results in this time usually ends out of the top 10 in the leader-board in the end.Mathematics permit everything though but things are not looking that good.

Speaking off, Liverpool are 3/1 today probably on the news that Klopp won't be at the game. Brilliant for me as it makes me go in even more on them. Need Villa to win first though on my biggest acca to remain alive. Can't wait!

I guess it would have been a different story case if the player (Pedro) had stopped running or lost the ball, but the fact we play go on for quite a while these days for a potential foul/offside made the call look really out of place.

Wouldn't have made any difference for me btw, as my bet was on Tottenham to win at halftime.

Exactly, Pedro was literally through on goal when the whistle blew, I'd probably have gotten myself a yellow if it happened to me heh. And that's what I'm saying EPL is really good now with advantage and I always played thinking of advantage even as a defender, so that was an aberration. Still, I won the Spurs bet so of course happy with the result. Still makes me annoyed though.

But I have no idea why I come to Superbru website when I have their app on my phone Cheesy.

I am using only website, and it is doing fine, but I enter all my picks two-three days before matches
nevertheless, I was certain that my pick for Arsenal was 1:2, and it was 0:2, so just close, not exact, if I knew that would cheer for Arsenal to get a point

and they were solid today, City is really tough to beat, and 1:2 at home is solid for Arsenal, even without any points, they could see CL this year

Also, I think there could be arguments against the officiating in the Manchester City vs Arsenal game earlier in the day. Though, I probably agreed with most decisions at the time.

That challenge by Ederson against Odegaard in the 10th minute was a foul, in my opinion.  Ederson was playing the ball, but contacted Odegaard's foot before he made contact with the ball.  That should have been a penalty kick for Arsenal.  Then there was the non-goal in 59th minute that was barely saved by Ake.  It would have been a self-goal (a tie would have gone to the attacker?) so I can live with that decision.  But then the red-card for incidental contact by Gabriel?  WTF?
[/biased statements]
Arsenal was very good today, especially in the first half,  and they deserved to walk away with some points from this game. I would have given that penalty on Odegaard and that red card was 2nd yellow, not straight red so...

This might be the best day i had this season in predicting results and am really happy with how everything ended today. Got 3 points on City  and 1.5 on both West Ham and Tottenham. I hope that i get tommorow even better results, but tommorow is really hard as far as i see and i think we will see a lot of movement tommorow on the leaderboard.

Lol, fat finger fumble?
Oh shit Cheesy. After this game I went to Superbru and was confident about getting 1.5 point because I was sure that I predicted 1:3. Not fat finger this time. Today morning Superbru didn't loaded fully on my phone and was laggy as hell and this is why I made such expensive mistake.
But I have no idea why I come to Superbru website when I have their app on my phone Cheesy.

I'm usually not one to complain about the officiating, well not too much. However, the standard this season has been absolutely appalling. I believe the VAR has got better in some instances, and we've made some progress, but in other elements we've backtracked quite a bit. I also, don't understand the need to constantly change the rules every season e.g offside rule, handball rule, just make the rules equivalent to the most common sense opinion.

At the moment, teams are losing points because of the officiating, and its effecting games. I'll admit last year with the VAR disaster of calling stupid offsides when their hand was off side was probably worse, but something needs to be done about the personal officiating, as well as VAR. Something akin to rugby.

I felt for Watford, thought they were absolutely shafted by the ref a few times, and were unlucky not to get at least a point from the match. Spurs on the other hand didn't exactly cover themselves in glory. My accumulator is still on at the moment though, but I'm not exactly happy about how that game played out. Also, I think there could be arguments against the officiating in the Manchester City vs Arsenal game earlier in the day. Though, I probably agreed with most decisions at the time.

They're doing well but I don't think well enough to beat City. Got the exact score right on that one but it's probably the only points I'll be getting from today.

Yeah, I agree that as a whole they aren't as good of a team as City.  They are getting better every week, which is nice to see.  They did keep this game tight, and took the first goal, which again is a good sign that they are improving.  I still think they'll finish in the top 5, and hopefully in the top 4.  It's also good to see them in the EFL Cup Simi-Finals.

The Sunday games look hard to pick for me. I've got all draws in but I might have to change some. Maybe Leeds and Liverpool can get wins. I'll wait for the line-ups as that will be a big factor, especially for Leeds.

I've had a tough year with the predictions, then I got distracted the last couple of weeks and forgot to put in my numbers.  The season is a bust for me, but I just put in my predictions for the remainder of the week.  That Chelsea/LFC game is going to be a fun one to watch, but it's a tossup how that will turn out.

A very bold prediction from LTU there  Grin. I'm guessing he wanted to go for 1-3. Looks like the game is going to end 0-0 anyway so probably nothing lost.

A most definitely was mistake but still a funny one btw, and he's lost one point 😏

Dafuq ref in Watford game. Joao Pedro was through on goal, yes he was getting his shirt pulled all the way, but ref whistled for the foul and freekick but this is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen recently in EPL. Pedro took the freekick and blasted high but damn, English league's generally really good at playing the advantage and yet this one let down.

Yes, it helped as I bet on Spurs but was watching as a neutral anyway and it's really not fun to see that ruin the game.
