i had a feeling Newcastle and especially Saint-Maximin were gonna give Maguire and the whole defence some trouble but i didn't expect last night's shitshow lol Varane was useless, Trashford with yet another awful performance, poor game from Bruno, whole team was just crap

Norwich (20th) and Newcastle (19th) put up a good fight against United, can Burnley (18th) do the same? 🤔
Trashford  Grin good one

As you said, I knew Maguire would not be able to contain Saint Maximin, but I expected their attack to outscore Newcastle even if they concede 2 or 3 goals. Even needed De Gea to save them towards the end.

Every week I am thinking, no way United will be that bad again and then they manage. I'll probably skip Burnley game for betting.

Be careful about next Newcastle game guys, both Wilson and Saint Maximin got injured, if it is something serious I see Newcatle in big problems going forward, scoring maybe 1 goal in 5 games. Those two guys are by far their most dangerous players.

Damn you Spurs, get the winning goal!

You're not the only with the expectation, they're just so pathetic  Angry

I'm still finding a way to figure out how it is that I went for Norwich to win against Crystal Palace in the pool  Angry

Dude Norwich are turning out to be one of the worst PL teams ever. I see what you’re trying to do though to pick up clever points. I do it a lot too, it’s probably why I’m doing so badly Cheesy

Here’s hoping LFC batter Leicester.

I think its smart to bet only on favorites and just keep doing that.I would never now chase this teams that are in the mud and are struggling to survive. All bets should be just against them. But a huge win by Crystal Palace didnt expect such a big win from them.

And yeah good on you, Betwrong, and this is a reminder to everyone playing. Just play every week. Even if you don't win in the end, a yellow cap brings you $50 freebet. That's your fee right there paid up and you can win more than once every week.

rdbase: I see you doing well the past few weeks entire December. What you smoking?

I quite like the booking lines out there, can bring some good odds. Especially, when its a player like Milner who doesn't always play all the minutes.

I've only ever used them to pad up betbuilder type bets this season, though yes, there was a time I looked for red cards on some games, but typically the Ramos types, where outright reds were more common than others.

Milner yellow is also good at Sportsbet actually as they void bets where players don't start games. And when hasn't Milner not got cautioned when he started for Liverpool (the last game actually haha, against Spurs).

~Betwrong yellow cap at 10.5 points, not bad.

Thank you! I can't believe my eyes!

After so many weeks sitting at the 44th place, finally, finally something! Smiley

Since recently I've started to do more research before making my predictions, and it paid off well!  (sorry for so many exclamation points, I'm so happy and excited)

Being at the bottom of the leaderboard, I kept saying that we were still not in the middle of the road yet, that anyone from the bottom could go to the top, blah-blah-blah, but, honestly, couple of weeks ago I started losing my hope. And now I am pleased to announce that yes, everyone still has a chance.

is there a place somewhere where we can find out about the condition of absences due to covid in the teams? Man.City seems to have gone the best.

Its still feels pretty lame to not being able to get full 3 points from Newcastle though. They are titerally one of the worst team in EPL right now

last night just tried to find the proper title, you described it best. Trashford.
except for some little speed, which is its greatest quality? But all managers necessarily force them, like a mystery.

Surprise surprise nobody predicted United draw. Even rdbase and LFC_Bitcoin predicted wins for Newcastle but lost points. Betwrong yellow cap at 10.5 points, not bad.

In today games I think that Watford should have a win against West Ham.I know West Ham is the better quality team here if we compare the players individually but I also know that last Watford fixture if I recall correctly was on December 10 while West Ham is playing the third fixture in just 6 days today so the players of West Ham must be extremely tired and that is why I think we can see a surprise win from Watford today. From the other games of this round the stronger teams should win their games but we must not exclude surprise results just like Manchester United did yesterday.

West Ham have lost their faith already I think. They lost at home after drawing twice against Southampton and the odds were clearly against the Saints, yet they pulled off a victory.

I think on paper as you say Hammers have the quality and add it all up higher total team rating but Watford is very very fresh. I agree, they should get the win.

Hmm, I actually never considered this angle. Zaha's been consistently one of my favourite players in the past 4 seasons or so, always pick him for a goal or assist now and then, but never really considered his booking history.

Only other player I can sort of classify as the same is Shelvey for Newcastle, or Lucas Leiva for Liverpool/Lazio. They're useful for harrying and winding people up, but are somewhat liabilities as you say. I'll start paying attention now on that.

I always go for Shelvey, Zaha, and Milner when he gets some game time especially against faster players. He's quite clinical at pulling off necessary, and unnecessary fouls off. Another would probably be Xhaka when he does get to play, though I haven't put that bet on personally. Tananga for Spurs also looks like someone who might be quite handy at picking up cards. Yeah, Lucas did pick them up quite often, at the start of this season, and last season Thiago was also quite the liability for yellow cards, but has seemed to step off the peddle a little bit, and get better at the type of fouls that draw cards.

Newcastle done their part early on, but Manchester is failing on their part for now
I have put United to win on halftime, although they do not posses threat at the moment, but should score at least one goal, and than will be interesting

it was a value bet @3.4 then, but it is above 4.5 now

Around 5 minutes to go now and you know that its not really over until the referee blow the whistle when you have Ronaldo on your team so Im hoping that Manchester United will score a last minute goal and win this. Even if this ended up as a draw, Im quite happy that Cavani scored in this game. First game after getting back from injury and scored, more reason for Manchester United not to let him go.

@toma @Trofo you must be pleased with the early Toon goal.

I'm very disappointed in first half so far, I also had United to win but BTTS, though no bets on this one, just that the card/corner count is way too low for my liking. Thought United well rested, should get loads of joy, and Newcastle desperate and angry... Hope the match turns around in second half.

@swogerino Eh yeah, meanwhile, my City bet is so dead haha. And Palace killed themselves with Zaha sent off. Sigh.
Honestly, I was thinking about this a few weeks ago. Betting on Zaha getting sent off particularly in games against the likes of Sterling etc is a decent pick. Since, he is brilliant at winding opponents up, although in the process he usually gets himself wound up too. Great player, but cant be a bit of a liability sometimes.

Line ups are out for Newcastle - United game and all the top players are in for both teams. Should be United win in the end but I am expecting Newcastle to score one goal as well. My money is on both to score and United to win to boost the odds a bit since there isn't anything else worth playing tonight.

Jeez icopress if that was right, then it is practically impossible to make predictions or bets until a few hours before. [...]
Not that it bothered me a lot in terms of individual cancellations of matches, it's just that I practically don't make single bets, so every canceled match that was included in my express bets is a blow for me. Moreover, I am confused by the fact that the news feed does not yet feature the dates of the postponement of matches, since there is not so much time left before the winter break in the Premier League as it seems, (i mean january 24 - february 4). I just have no idea how the teams will be able to make up for missed games since February, March and April are very busy months, (currently 14 canceled matches)Sad

I won one freebet with Chelsea and Arsenal, and huge favorites in NFL so I at least made a little bit of money yesterday but without the freebet I would also be in red like Trofo.

Arsenal is heading to CL this season

regarding tonight, one should have caution with United, their play is really something unexpected always
Newcastle will obviously start their revival from Championship next season, but they are singing "we play bad, but we are richer than you", even to City

At who's expense ? I like how Arsenal doing this season to be very, they've been doing brilliantly except against the top guns of course, but I would be expecting them to make the UCL next season, Arsenal have been known to not always keep up to task as the season gets to it's third quarter, but we'll see I guess.
Let's not get ahead of our selves. Arsenal had a great run but they had really good draw in recent months. The quality of their opponents will take a change soon and we have to see if they are able to actually play against top teams. My opinion is that big 3 will win games against them easy. Liverpool did just that the other day with result like 4:0. They have City to open the new year and I expect similar result.

When they lost first 3 games in the season I said I expect them to finish in top part of the table and probably fight for 6th spot. Now I can maybe see them as high as 4th but I still think United will find form and climb the ranks.

Arsenal showed they can win against weaker teams, now they have to show that they can hold their own against top teams but I feel like they will fail on this test.

Goals galore it was yesterday, I earned only 1 point from all the ones I had, Chelsea's game was the only which I got 1.5 points from.
