Why only he got the yellow cap, what is different? whether it is on the principle of a lottery or what?
Not sure actually, maybe the reason he is closer on the one game you both got wrong? That criteria is not written in official rules though so I am guessing. This is a strange case since I am positive that we had 2 yellow cap winners before and it is definitely possible to share reward. Maybe they added some new tie breakers and did not update the tool tip. Maybe you can ask somewhere on Superbru site, if you do please share the answer.

Tie breaker tool tip from the site:
Quote
Tie-breaking
If players have the same score total, rank is determined by the higher number of correct match outcomes predicted (right winner or draw regardless of score), then higher number of exact scores, higher number of close scores and finally lower total closeness. Note that it's not your total exact or close points that counts, it is how many instances of exact or close picks you have: so an exact counts as 1, not 3. Players still matching are tied for rank.

Nothing to complain I think as this was a strange week. Most of us ended with that exact number of points, some with 5.5 points shared the yellow cap which is the yellow cap awarded with the lowest number of points,of course because of the circumstances.Just because this unusual week the standings haven't changed a lot and hopefully when we go to 26 December when the next week of Premiership will take place most players will be recovered from Covid 19 and very few postpone matches will happen.

I am curious here. Finally, I am top of the round table, it is true that there are only a few points and a few games, but...
certainly, what is the difference here, shipley and me, have the same number of points. we even had completely identical picks. Why only he got the yellow cap, what is different? whether it is on the principle of a lottery or what?

I'm not complaining, I've given up much before on any competition and results here.

I stand with Ukraine.
~I had Man City to win 3 nil, although I doubted the chance looking the time left when the score was 3 nil, It was 3 -1 win I had for Liverpool with the hope that Tottenham would continue that inconsistent performance.

I predicted Man City to win 1 - 3. Thought Newcastle could score one at home, but nope. And I bet on the same result, 1 - 3, for Tottenham-Liverpool, but Tottenham played unexpectedly well. Both teams did play great, actually, hence 2-2. Who could expect that? Well, 3 of us were really close

Good job, guys! Congrats! Smiley

I finished with 2.5 points, I don't think I can complain much, I've had worse weeks.

Same here. Not complaining. 2.5 points places me solidly in the middle of our pool. Good result for me.

This would be great. Imagine each team getting atleast two challenges for each game to review silly referee decision but instead of the manager's decision, perhaps the captain should have been the person responsible in calling challenges lol this seems like a groundbreaking ideas for me though

Well, it might be groundbreaking for football. The fact is that most sports already have it implemented in one way or the other - in NFL coaches can do that since I can remember, in tennis players can check decisions multiple times during the game, it would not be something not seen before.

I understand these that claim it would disrupt the flow of the game and I agree it would to some extent - but nothing disrupts the flow as much as incorrect decisions do.

I hope that changes soon and that coaches can challenge some decisions and ask for VAR checks.

I bearly finished with 3.5 points and how everyone finished this week i think it was positive for me.

3.5 is pretty much the average this time so this is good enough. I got 2.5 this week but I cant seems to move from the 40th place lol. Pretty bad overall season for me, I dont think Im going to make it to ITM place but atleast I'll try to get one yellow cap before the season ends

Well, well, well... Even predicting 3-1 wasn't enough to get close on Citeh, but Chelsea, really. I actually bet on Wolves for a 12/1 what-I-thought was value but I'm pleased with the draw still. I'm still not convinced Chelsea is down and out though, 2 draws in a row, we've been 6 losses in a row and still finished last season strong. Tuchel will be worried though, and their goal-scoring drought is finally here, as the law of average dictates.

I'm hoping for a big game now on the last one for Sunday. So glad no more postponements yet, but don't want to speak too soon.

It's been a crazy week. Spurs equalizer and Liverpool red card / draw took everyone by surprise. And all the yellow cards in that game trashed my betbuilder too (under 29.5 booking points 90 mins). Usually LFC and Spurs don't get much yellows by themselves. Against each other, it's a different story apparently. What the heck... even Klopp got a yellow. And City denied me an exact score at the dying stages of the game.

I suppose that makes two of us... I had Man City to win 3 nil, although I doubted the chance looking the time left when the score was 3 nil, It was 3 -1 win I had for Liverpool with the hope that Tottenham would continue that inconsistent performance.

Same thing happened at the Tottenham - Liverpool game yesterday. Everybody is talking about Kane's tackle today, I'm a bit old school and would have probably given him a yellow for that, but the fact remains that Tierney did not check that tackle with VAR and after initially giving Robertson a yellow - went to check that one and changed it to red.

I agree that Robertson deserved the red for the kick - but I cannot understand why he did not go and check Kane's tackle too. As well as a penalty on Jota.

VAR is a great tool that is still being used without any rules and is influenced only by the referees - I hope that changes soon and that coaches can challenge some decisions and ask for VAR checks.

That Livepool game had referee who was not up to the occasion and he helped a lot with his decisions to make players more nervous and consequently get more cards. How is it possible that Kane did not get red card for start on Robertson and then Robertson gets it for less dangerous one?

The same happened in the Leeds Arsenal game. Xhaka nearly snapped Raphina's ankle in two with his studs and didn't even get a card. VAR didn't even seem to check it. Then Gelhardt went and did a similar one but in no way as reckless or anywhere near as bad and then got booked. No consistency at all and shameful that VAR isn't even asking refs to review them. Thought that was the whole point of VAR. Teams really should be able to request a review of certain fouls.
Did not see the one in Leeds game so I will not comment, but that VAR request should be made available to teams. Lots of sports already implemented that and I believe it helped make the game a bit more fair. Just needs to be implemented properly and not used as a excuse when you are leading to break the rhythm of the game and run down the clock. Not sure but I believe most of the sports that VAR review by request are points based instead of time based or if they are time based than the clock is stopped when the ball is not in the play.

It would be really easy to implement for cards though. You just let the play continue and then overturn the original decision if needed. It is not a big deal even if somebody gets red card and then cools of the pitch for 2 minutes before coming back in. No need to actually stop the play. For yellow cards it is even easier, every one of them could be silently checked or awarded later on. I would like to see yellow cards awarded like that for blatant simulation.

Yeah, I'm not going to whine, I think it was tough, and Spurs did expose us countless times at the back, could easily have been 4-4... but I wish that last minute Alisson punt to Tsimikas went better (I'd have asked him to shoot directly or pull back to an unmarked Firmino). I got thrashed everywhere I snuck this game into, but ok, the result could have been worse. We just now have to deal without Robbo, good thing our Greek lad's been doing his best to compete.

I thought I got something special with correct score on City but quite a few of us got it right, so meh. Wolves - Chelsea had under written all over it, I just couldn't decide among 1:0, 0:0 or 0:1 and picked wrong one of course.

Kind of kills me to see Wolves end up scoreless of 1 goal every game now, not too long ago they played pretty positive football. Feel like as soon as Nuno tried to evolve, and Jimenez got his injury, and Traore got overhyped (and okay they lost Jota too heh), they've become painful to watch.

I almost missed out on putting in my pick, I went with Arsenal and they've started out really decently, they've got an early lead which could have doubled, Unless we have a typical Arsenal scenario here, this should be an easy win for Arsenal.

Arsenal already destroyed Leeds in this away game and as i see over 90% of the players predicted that Arsenal will win,i think if Arsenal scores 2 more goals everybody will receive 1 point. I predicted 1-2 in this match so i think i o most cant get anything more then the 1 point so just hoping there are more goals in this match

I think most of us got just 1 point from this game.I had 0-2 and many had predicted with a 2 goal advantage, only 5 people got 1.5 points from this game and a lot of others 1 point.Tomorrow supposedly will be played 3 games so it is wide open for that yellow cap and most probably will be with less than 11 points this time.Let's see what happens as if from those 3 games 1 or 2 games are postponed again then with only one game left to be played everyone will be in the fight for the yellow cap and this is extremely unusual.

So many games postponed in EPL and this is not good. What is next ? another 3-4 months of pause ? Sometimes I just want to run away from the world and forget about everything. NBA and NHL are following the same path and the same scenario happened last year so I think we're going back to that but I do hope that spectators will have the right to attend to games. Stay safe and let's hope EPL is back in full force soon.

Aston Villa was postponed today too leaving only one game to be played and that is Leeds vs Arsenal tonight.I hope that doesn't get also postponed in the late minute just like it happened with Aston Villa game.I hope that tomorrow games will be played otherwise it will be a very unusual week here in the Superbru, most likely this week will the one with the lowest number of points to get the yellow cap as lots of games are postponed.
It is a sad weekend without Premier League action,we wait all week to see beautiful football but this weekend we won't unfortunately or it will be at a much lower scale.
