They're the best ones. A little money for a lot of fun (potentially at least - not that much fun when the first game lets you down haha). I don't mind throwing 5p at them as they can get quite exciting when the results are coming your way. Sometimes it's worse that with online bookies let you cash out. There's been a fair few times when they've offered me a cash out of £50-£100 from a crappy 5-10p bet or something but I've let it run because you could potential win thousands or even tens of thousands, but obviously you then go on to lose and wish you would have taken the cash when you can. With that being said, I'd rather lose out on that than thousands so that's why 9/10 I let them run.

A few years ago Skybet posted an accumulator someone had won. It was a 5 or 10p bet or something and I think they won 250k on a four team accumulator. If I remember correctly it was 4 lower league teams and the both teams to score in both halves, 2 corners each team in each half and two cards each I mentioned above. They love posting big wins because it just encourages others to do them. I've actually won quite a few of them on singles but I only put them on games I suspect can get a bit spicy with a lot of goals. Of course my bet on last nights game failed miserably with it being 0-0 at half time.

It changes a lot of things when some teams score in that 97th minute.I have been burned so many times by late goals but yesterday strange enough for me I got the exact correct score 2-0 and I did put it without believing Manchester United would have won.I opened Instagram and was scrolling today morning and first post was from Cristiano,stating that only with hard work we can achieve good results,checked Flashscore than and was surprised to that 2-0 result although it removed the Wooden Spoon from me.

Oh well, congrats to cls63! When I got the notification for the 90+7' goal, I expected it to be a Brighton last minute equalizer to make it 1-1 and give me a correct score - I was not expecting the lead to be doubled.

Gross, cls63 had United to win at 2-0 and he closed the round with 1 point ahead of you won the yellow cap. It could have been yours if it was 1-0 for United, too bad though.


Sometimes its gross especially when you are in lead to win already but yeah shit happens most of the time, getting 2nd was still great and he climbed 8 spots on the overall leaderboard closing the gap to top 10

This is a great example of why we all shouldn't publicly state our expectations ... because I was in exactly the same situation, (It seems that a huge number of points warms the soul, but due to the absence of a yellow cap, it becomes not so rosy).

In any case, you are not alone in your disappointment as the second goal in the 97th minute knocked my accurate prediction for this match off balance.  

It depends,if you are a fan of United you cheer for them but if not there is no reason to cheer for them instead of your yellow cap.Manchester United has screw up the last couple of games by getting draw as results in these matches against weaker opponent.I doubt they will make the turn in this game against Brighton so most likely you are going to end up as the yellow cap winner.I personally have them to win but I just made that prediction based on the name of the team and not the real quality they are delivering.

Hopefully it'll be my first yellow cap! Looks like two people can still catch up by getting a correct score and they're both going for a United win, while I picked a 1-1 draw

Yes, I know, and you are probably right. I will remember for a very long time 2021/22 because of the first starting game of the season, and all the hope that followed with 3 wins in 3, followed by everything Spurs can do to bring their fans back to reality.

But the point you mentioned is what I'm hoping for, the champions aren't playing well, they still are lucky without strikers, and Spurs, if you forget the crappy midfield and defence without ball, Moura and Son are very good, we just need Kane to click, which he has only done a few times this season.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that puts ludicrous bets down, and actually from time to time get close enough to start sweating buckets. Seriously, I've had some good horrible times just sitting there watching my bigger accumulators come close.

Manchester Utd definitely going to struggle tonight I'd say, Brighton have been good all season pretty much. You never know with Fernandes, and Ronaldo they can score even against play quite regularly. What I do find with Brighton is  they don't score enough considering the amount of chances they actually have, even against the better teams they generate chances like no tomorrow. So, I think a 1-1 draw is probably a good bet here. I actually forgot they were playing tonight, I thought it was Champions league only.

Might chuck a draw between the two on my accumulator if that's the case.

Looks like Darkstar will probably get the yellow cap this week. Tonight's game might be a tricky one though. United should win and most will likely back that but I can see a draw given both teams recent form. Shame I didn't have one more point this week as a correct score would probably give me the yellow cap . Not sure how I've managed to get myself into third place either. Only half a point behind second place as well.


I usually stick a little amount 0.5-20p on a few of the both teams to score in both halves, 2 corners each team in each half and two cards each accumulators on skybet. You can get huge odds on them especially when you combine 2-4. I was literally one goal and one corner away from a ridiculous sum fairly recently. I've put a quid on it tonight on the Manchester Utd v Brighton match at 101 odds so that will net me 101 but I'm only expecting 1-1 in the game to be honest but it's worth the punt. Could see a fair few goals and it could get a bit spicy if things aren't going United's way.

Some other has 1.5 points from this round and to make it even better, I forgot to put my predictions for this entire round lol so thats straight 0 point for me because I dont have any of default picks left ( been busy grinding in discord server ). I have put in my prediction for the last round, United to win 2-0 but I got a hunch that this is going to flop so yeah that wooden spoon is pretty much reserved for me  

Brave bet. The best result I see Tottenham getting is a draw. Manchester City haven't been lighting the league on fire as of recent though, and I've talked about their frailties before, so who knows. I just can't personally see it since Tottenham have been rather inconsistent too. If anything though, and I was going to put a bet on someone scoring it would have to be Son. Tottenham will be looking to counter attack Manchester City who will likely dominate the ball, like they have done in every game this season. Son being quicker will likely run beyond Kane, who will likely hold the ball up, and look to lay it off.

I'd actually be willing to put a bet down for either a 0-0 draw or 1-1 just because of the odds it'll generate, and the fact I think Tottenham will be looking to sit back, and invite pressure while looking for the counter. Manchester City have struggled to score at times, which sounds odd when they've literally just beaten teams by 3+ goals, but that wasn't without a element of luck sprinkled in.

I guess no need for me to say more about my team Spurs. I feel like they just only know how to disappoint or excite. The 3-2 win feels like a lost memory now after these 2 bad games, I would prefer to lose that and win the last two, to be honest,,, but our next game is coming and I put my freeebet from Sportsbet onto Spurs to get victory against City.

Yeah, I have a habit of doing incredibly long odd accumulators which never come in. Think the most I've actually won is 1k. I seriously thought Aston Villa were going to make it look easy, not just win. Although, I didn't watch the game since Liverpool were on at the same time, I was somewhat following a live commentary, and I saw that there was multiple factors which slowed the game down. Plus, the goal they conceded was a deflection, so overall not a great day.

At the end of the day my view point is I gamble occasionally for fun, I don't do it expecting to win, I do it for incredibly long odds, which if they did come in could potentially be life changing. Seriously, I've had accumulators go up to the millions, obviously never came in, but I tried .

Though, these days I usually do bet builder accumulators, so not every gambling website allows that, so I've been forced to use fiat accepting ones since they have the best variety.

I guess I am the one with the wooden spoon for this round having fall down in the rankings from 16 to 25 after scoring just 2.5 points in my worst ever week in this pool.This also shows that a bad week can make things change pretty quickly and in these 15 rounds remaining it just takes a few really good weeks to climb up the ladder really quick or a few really bad weeks like the one I experienced to go down in positions pretty quick too.

@Welsh I've never had an acca worth more than $1000 except when playing MultiMaster then my record was something like 11 BTC for a 0.1mbtc outlay, maybe one of these days I should sit down and make serious ones. Problem with teams like Villa are the "value" odds. I thought Ollie would save us too...

But yep, shame on me. Betting on United AND Spurs. The writing on the wall, ignored. The silly players lolling about the field, ignored. Makes me mad to see guys like Pogba strolling about like they're on a 3-goal lead with 5 mins to go heh.

On the other hand, could Spurs and United be great for martingaling? Seems not as I recall odds on them always at 15/10. Spurs v City game coming up is ripe for a bet though. Odds at over 10/1.

I didn't have any bet on them today, and I think that's a nail in the coffin, and I won't be going back to them for the rest of the season.

From getting it almost all right yesterday, to not being a get one right today, huh.

Liverpool, and Aston Villa let me down today for 25k. It was an accumulator which had a few UFC fights sprinkled in, however I had Aston Villa to win, which if you take a look at how they conceded, and how their goal was ruled out, it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Although, I also needed Liverpool to win in both halves, which they didn't manage to do. Probably the closest I've every come to that sort of money.

I'm not betting on the West Ham vs Leicester game, but if I were I'd probably go for a draw. West Ham are probably one of the more inconsistent, frustrating teams in the Premier League, and Leicester are going through a real rough patch, but they probably have a good enough defense to keep West Ham at bay.

Edit: As soon as I typed that out, West Ham score. Still, I'll go for a draw.

These modern days players play too many matches. This league, that league then international matches. They barely have time for other things than football. It's touchar both mentally and physically. Without loving football it's impossible to be a football professional. Our boys are the same, they will manage the way they are managing.

We need few more goals, at least 1 to make it 0 - 2. Burnley are pushing hard for an equalizer.
