The game is void (odds 1) and due to the nature of free bet, ie. stakes are not returned it means that if it is only match on your free bet ticket you lost your free bet. If it is a part of multi ticket then it is voided like on normal ticket. In other words to get free bet amount back as actual money you need to hit odds @2 on your ticket.

yeah, the ticket is void, and you get back what you put into, and since it is a free-bet, than you get 0 Smiley
learned my lesson when tried to play "blackjack-to-21" once on Sportsbet, with free-bet, and yeah, lost it, it was below 21, and you get back what you put into, but that is 0, it is stated when you enter your bet, there is 0 in your bet amount, hopefully it is clear enough

so, basically, ticket is not lost, but due to nature of free-bet (you did not put any real money in), you get 0 back

Yesterday results were not that expected,I didn't expect Brighton to lose at home, the most correct result should have been a draw, also Crystal Palace screwed up yesterday and couldn't manage to win against Southampton. At least I got an exact score in the Arsenal game which showed they are coming back to where they belong to fight for the top spots.A few games today,City and Liverpool should have easy wins and asian handicaps should be a good choice to make some easy money by betting tonight.

I rememeber when the first game was called off I was telling my friends it is not just going to be our problem (Spurs). Now we have 2 games postponed, a Conference League game which will most likely end up as a penalty 3-0 loss,,, and apparently Conte says now Premier League rejected his request to postpone another game.

So the scenario is become that we will be forced to play with very young people.

I fear for the worse for my team Sad

Burnley - Watford has just got postponed due to covid. I feel like this is biggest virus problem in England and consequently Premier League since that first lock down when whole league was on pause.
Please remind me ... what if this match was included in my free bet? Is the free bet refundable?

Yeah, that's correct. I only just figured this out the weirdest was during last week when I used a freebet on a betbuilder (NBA) one of the selection was void which automatically voids the betslip, and I lost the freebet.

I'm getting somewhat scared that as the festive season approaches we might witness more games getting postponed, and that'd ruin the much anticipated holidays for me.

How bad is the situation in England actually? Is there realistic chance to stop the league? I hear Leicester is also hit hard and their games could get postponed as well.
If I am not mistaken, this kind of outbreak was last observed in May last year.

In addition, Leicester has a derby with Tottenham ahead, and if what you say happens, then Tottenham will become the record holder for the number of unplayed matches, (I hope this does not happen because otherwise I will not get points in the FPL for the third time in a row).

Christ, Man City really gave Leeds an ass whooping didn’t they Cheesy
Hopefully Liverpool do something similar to Newcastle. I was supposed to be going to the game but had to give up my ticket.

Yeah, it wasn't pretty. City could have easy got over 10 goals. One was disallowed, couple hit the woodwork and another couple were millimetres wide. Lots of good goalward bound blocks from the Leeds defence as well.

Am hardly worried though. We just need to match City every step of the way, and nice to have Chelsea pushing us as well. December heat is seldom our problem... We top Christmas often enough. It is Afcon and January that keep haunting us season after season. IIRC our six loss streak last season set off around that time... Though that was really more of an assembly line of injury bad luck that started with VVD.
AFCON will be though for Liverpool, even if they were just loosing Salah it would be devastating since he is in the best form of his career but loosing him and Mane at the same time could place serious dent in the attack. Especially if Firmihno does not get back from injury.

Arsenal - West ham should have goals in it, right? My bet goes on both to score in that game + Crystal Palace to win against injury stricken Southampton.

Yeah, I can see that, though 0-0 wouldn't surprise me either. I've gone for 2-2 cos I can't pick a winner and put a quid on the both teams to score in each half with 2 cards and 2 corners each.

Liverpool should do the same if they want to follow step by step in the fight for the title.I don't remember about last year but a couple of years ago when Liverpool won they did the escape exactly in this heavily tight schedule where games are played every three days.Newcastle although they are a rich club now, they can only intervene in the club on January when the possibility to transfer players will be open so Liverpool should have an easy win tomorrow night.

Hope it was worth giving up ticket for... I know we had two single goal games now after a string of high scoring ones but I saw those as blips more than running aground, we were still playing well, just uncharacteristically profligate (Jota especially).

CasperBGD spot on that City thrashes Leeds,,, and Trofo spot on for City clean sheet!

I guess even those of us who predicted an upset are not surprised however,,, because it really does seem like Leeds always plays like this against opponents who can score, but the problem is they could not crack the defence open and City is not known to have the best in the world.

Not they lead the league by 4 points and of course others have game in hand but you know how it is to play catch up Smiley

Yeah, it's been a bit sad watching them play and I've been trying my best to watch their games as I really rate them highly, plus it's a joy to watch Raphinha play now he's back in the team from injury. They're both unbeaten on Tuesday night Premier League football, for City a weird record stretching back to 1993 apparently!

~snip

I like to play on statistics, where do you find this interesting ones? they are not beaten on Tuesday night Premier league football?
although I like Leeds, I cannot imagine them to prolong their unbeaten Tuesday, City is in good shape, they overcome bad match with 1:0 win over the weekend, and I expect them to trash Leeds tonight, and Leeds is not prone to conceive many goals, they are not playing bus game

hopefully they will score as well, and both-to-score seems as a winner
It is not often that Premier League is played middle of the week (maybe 5 game weeks per year), and then you have games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so I am not surprised that the record stretches long into the past. I guess every club plays maybe one game on Tuesday per year, could be wrong, is there stats for that?

I am thinking City keeps clean sheet tonight, Leeds is running out of steam and they need break. Too bad for them since PL doesn't have holidays Smiley

@LFC_Bitcoin @hilarious yeah I'm really at a loss these days on anything any government affecting me is deciding on Covid... but in the UK and where I am now it really looks like they're going overboard and overkill, certainly when they have pressing issues to fix first.

My annoyances are tempered, though, by what goes on back home on the other side of the world. Family travelling intra-town with police permits, school out for over a year, food shortages since LAST Christmas, people smuggling themselves to work to pay bills. A lot of the shenanigans going on are a lot less because of Covid than other internal factors, and the governments there are quite conveniently using Covid to not fix things. I could list out crazier things but I'd be veering from off-topic into off-planetary orbit...

Leeds played pretty well last week and deserved a point but not sure City will be as easy. I could see a lot of goals though. Leeds still have a lot of players out including some of their best. They have a hell of a lot of players of yelllows as well which could effect their performance or we might see a lot of them getting subbed off to spare them from suspensions.

If I were Bielsa I'd be saving his team as they're clearly running on fumes from a mix of injury and suspension as you say -- but still a great team to watch, and every one of them playing their hearts out for their manager.

I'd be happy for a draw, but would be sweet to get Leeds another big win. They need it bad.

We could have this conversation all day, I’m wildly annoyed by the UK Gov & how they’ve dealt with COVID. I’m unvaccinated & have actually recovered (easily) from a previous, mild COVID infection.
This isn’t the right place to discuss this but yeah, annoying AF.

At the moment we can still take a lateral flow test to gain entry to stadiums. I will not be happy if they stop that & change it to vaccination only for mass events, nightclubs etc.
As for the football, I suck this season. Still, my predictions are in. I can’t turn down the chance of a free bet. Good luck everybody.

Do they have symptoms or just negative tests? I can't believe how overboard the government is going over omicron. Wildly reported as much milder symptoms, but just shut the entire country down and force vaccine passports and masks on everyone again along with more boosters that might not even work against it just in case. Looks like we're one step away from vaccine mandates right now and the gov threatening a vague 'plan C' on everyone.
Looks to be positive tests that came in prior to these players being iso'd so they do not spread it to the rest of the team.

Think this is why Brentford vs Manchester United match was postponed today.

And yes. This new strain has clamped down to have the EPL go into these emergency measures once again.
"The Premier League has told its 20 clubs to return to emergency measures in light of new Covid rules in England.
The protocols, which include social distancing, were brought in at the start of the season.
Clubs with high vaccination rates had relaxed some of the measures but must now reimpose restrictions to help limit the spread of the Omicron variant.
Tottenham's Premier League match at Brighton on Sunday has been postponed following a Covid-19 outbreak at Spurs.
A number of Leicester players did not travel to Italy for their Europa League group game against Napoli on Thursday because of positive Covid-19 tests.
The Premier League has not said how many clubs had been able to relax the measures."

After checking out my next fixture on my betslip I had for the later matches today:

Noticed the Manchester match has been postponed when looking for more news about it found this:

I know right, I only just did my predictions for midweek. So many games this time of year, it’d be easy to forget to submit a round of fixtures & then if you’re at the top of the pool, competing for the money like yourself it could lose you money.

I kid you not I had a dream where I panicked because I put 3-0 for all the picks for every game until end of December. It's bad when you dream of work, even worse when you start dreaming of sports betting...

I put them as they come.I do a simple Flashscore check in the morning when I come at work and see if there are any Premier League games during that day,if they are I start putting predictions. This way I don't forget any game, most of us I think go to work daily and this can be done to minimize your chances of forgetting to put your picks.

A lot of games in December and usually is now the part where someone at the top start going away.

I'm free this weekend so yeah, only putting in every gameweek now but I have had to put in weeks ahead when I know I might not be at a computer... mobile access is not the best experience and I've already made a few mistakes in other pools when putting scores in from phone. Race at the top heating up for past 2 weeks, the draws will decide a lot of things...

@Betwrong @cygan: Leeds 19/1 to win, of course I bet on it. I've not predicted 100% with my bets in this season's pool though Wink
