This is the season for Arsenal. Especially if city gets points punished or even relegated due to FFP breaches.
I think this will only motivate Man City players to win all matches and score more goals.
Man City is too big club to get big point deduction, but they are going to pay big financial fee for sure.
Chelsea could face similar problems, they made mistakes in past also.

I follow the official Arsenal account on Twitter, but they won't publish the gossip, dirt, and speculations that I'm referring to.  Any specific hackette you would recommend?
Try @now_arsenal and @AFTVMedia for Arsnela news. For general transfer speculation try, @EduardoHagn, @David_Ornstein and of course, @FabrizioRomano.

It was a good enough strategy last year, obviously they came oh-so-close.  But having come so close and missing the championship by such a small margin, you would think they would be aggressively trying to improve the striker position since it's been vulnerable.
My exact line of thoughts. You also cannot depend on one single way of winning a match, we should always have the ability to change our strategy when needed. Sure we broke down defenses easily last season, but struggled to do so in the UCL.

...Current Relegation odds
City - 13
I was going to call that fake news, had to go and check first and confirmed it.
But they still have very low odds for City to win the league and finish in the top 4, maybe it is a precaution for anyone who wants to get clever. Could not happen, could it?

It hurt to watch Eddie leave our club along with ESR, those two have been Arsenal all the way through for so many years.
Yeah but they needed to leave to make progress in their careers. Young players need to play and they wouldn't have gotten enough minutes in Arsenal squad. It would have been just some league cups and maybe some cameo appearances here and there.

Feel like something big is cooking behind the screens. Also they sold Alvarez and not bought replacement with almost 100M just from that transfer in the bank? Suspicious.

I doubt it. The transfer window is closing and we are in no serious bid for a striker. Arteta looks to be sticking to the same game plan last season with Havertz leading the line from deep and Jesus as the backup striker.

Same old Arsenal - zero ambition, you can't compete against a team with a robot scoring 25+ goals a season with a 8-9 goals striker. The most pathetic thing about this is your manager and club is aware of their weaknesses and still choose to ignore.

I've been critical of Arteta's management in the past, but the last couple of seasons I've been tolerant.  This is the kind of thing that frustrates me.  If you're not improving you're failing.  Everybody else is being aggressive, so why would you sit back and employ the same strategy season after season?

Last time I checked we finished the season 2 points off the top last season, if that is not competing I do not know what is. I also think as a Chelsea supporter you have a lot more problems to worry about than genuine title challengers.

Chelsea submitted official bid for Sancho - he has given the green light, now up to Manutd- not sure what I should expect honestly.
You expect an average player to add to a fast growing list of average players.

I only heard today that Palace is looking to sign Nketiah, but what's going on with Rowe?  Any indication as to why they're leaving?

It pisses me off how slow EPL news makes it's way to the states.
Nketiah was being considered by Palace for some time and all parties seemed keen on the deal.

It is frustrating to see a footgun this early in the season.  I can't imagine they're putting all their eggs in Jesus' basket, maybe they have an ace up their sleeve.

Smith wasn't getting enough playing time and was not part of the project; he is too good to stay on the bench every season with such tremendous potential. A big shame Arsenal didn't include a sell-on-clause in his contract.

Jesus will always be Jesus disappearing when the team needs him the most as usual.

How are you selling Eddie without a replacement?? Jesus is prone to injury and cannot be trusted to play more than 15 games per season, and he is now the only striker available.

I'm not going to talk about the transfer fee, although I expected something around 40-45m, but that's the Arsenal way: bad at selling, as usual.

Big match in this round of Premier League, Manchester United is waiting for Liverpool in Old Trafford.
Usually I would say that Liverpool is total favorite but it can be tricky for everyone playing at this stadium.
Man United was unlucky losing last round in stoppage time but I dont know why Zirkzee was not playing from start.

It's going to be a blockbuster and not a one sided game that's for sure, Liverpool are the favourites but it's old Trafford therefore we can't take away the home advantage Manchester United will have. Liverpool hasn't conceded yet this season but that's not going to stay that way after this game. One thing for sure is we won't witness another goalless draws between these two but a draw isn't out of the picture as they have lots of those (I think about 9/10 or so). ETH is getting his formation wrong again, why didn't Joshua Zirkzee start but instead Fernandes was played as the striker I still don't understand the idea behind that. Burno Fernandes should be the one supplying the balls not being the target man. ETH should better use Zirkzee (to stand a chance against Liverpool) if he's available and not restricting Fernandes by putting him upfront.

It usually is but Liverpool has new coach and so fr they have been playing incredibly well unlike Manchester United. Our first home against Fulham wasnt really the best either way so that pose some sort of doubt in my mind. At the very least, not losing to Liverpool in Old Trafford is one of the better scenario that I can hope for

and here I will choose Liverpool to win with a handicap of -1. It is clear that it is far from certain that Liverpool will take revenge so confidently, but the odds of 3.0 seem to me to be excellent compensation for the risk.

Thats bold, most people probably goes with -0.5 if they want a handicap bet. Hey, Manchester United is not a fodder team come on  Cool

That is a risky one, and what is a good bet without a good risk?

By the way, bookmakers are not giving very good (in terms of profitability) odds for Liverpool to win:
3.80 - 4.10 - 1.87
Liverpool are 2 for 2 this season, yet to concede and controlling games from start to finish, I think the odds are very high considering they are the big favorites to win.

But still, my intuition tells me that I should bet against United.
A good bet considering the situation, I may parley that with one or two other matches.

Today I discovered that I have a free bet from somewhere (probably a bonus for participating in one of the polls), so I also plan to make a risky multi-bet (minimum odds of 10) and here I will choose Liverpool to win with a handicap of -1. Its okay, if we don't laugh at our own clubs, who else is right? Smiley Funny that I trashed Chelsea and they scored 6. But we all know it's a super capable team anyway, they should be scoring 6 for fun all the time AIR?
Now winning next week might be losing? Roll Eyes Chelsea are usually inconsistent at the start of the season but we never know the path of the season now whether it will go straight or turn.
And the win was lucky for Chelsea, I don't doubt the game.

This was Chelsea IIRC all the time last season, same as Manchester United. Win one game big, lose next game like clowns. This season feels very different already tho. City usually lose a game early, now they are winning both. Same as Liverpool, usually they draw early.

No scary team ATM, nobody knows what's gonna happen.

It's his fault that the club management still believes Ten Hag, at the beginning of the season his team was not fit, which means there was a mistake, right?

For sure! Manager fault if his team not fit for new season, who the heck is?

I checked his interview after the game... Everything is as usual: we controlled the game, we were unlucky, we conceded two "unnecessary goals" etc. It seems like he's delirious. I'm also irritated by how he reasons that: in attack we need to play more aggressively, in defense - more carefully, we need to realize scoring chances more effectively, etc. Who is he explaining this to? He is the head coach and he has to improve the game.

Thats exactly how I felt reading his comments about the season. He is like some weird guy that somehow managed to coach Ajax, and then looks like a dumbass explaining Manchester United. I feel sorry for you fans but don't worry I have a bad feeling Barca coach is gonna get it too.

And Liverpool is coming up next, pressure is already high after just 2 games, does not bode well for the rest of the season.

Exactly this. Last season United drew with Liverpool twice and knocked them out of the FA Cup and for some reason it seems to me that this luck will end in the next round, where Liverpool will be maximally focused on the result.
