First game kicks off tonight.
Joined both competition and I sent my predictions for the first round.
I like UEFA Euro predictor better than Superbru, it has 2x booster and option of selecting first team and first player to score.
It takes more time to send predictions but predicting correct goal scorer can get you 8 points and change everything.
Good luck everyone and let the show begin.

I do as well. Quite bored of Superbru and this one seems more exciting. I only hope we can get everyone joined on there in time. If some people miss the first game we can just disregard the points from that one.

Citizens are threatening to reduce community service, women's, and youth football budgets if APT rules are not change to allow the team to compete financially. These guys have been moving like PSG throughout the years, with bogus sponsorship deals and all.
The hearing is almost here. We will have to wait and see how it goes, especially the aftermath from whoever losses the case.
If VAR were in place Arsenal would not have won any league titles. Banks of England, The Emirates - all the shitty bloody illegal money pumped into your club since the 80s. Pretend to be shocked....

They are suing the Premier League for discrimination and an incorrect interpretation of the rules. It's more like saying you're accusing us of breaching the rules when your rules aren't clearly stated and lack merit.
They are not saying the interpretation is wrong, but the rules are entirely wrong, using terms like: "the tyranny of the majority" making themselves out to be the oppressed minority. Although the rule was hurriedly set up after Newcastle got new owners.

If this rules were in place earlier, Abrahamovic would have not been able to spend money from outside the club to build Chelsea when he took over. We are removed from the list, I did not remove ourselves. It is you who cheekily added us in.

You are blocking us from conducting business with our third-party partners and so forth. This way, when the premier files a case against them in court, they can easily reply, "No, we have a case against you in court challenging your rules."
That is not the plan. The suit against them starts around November and this particular hearing starts next week, will run for six weeks and there is no room for appeal. This will be closed long before then, they have to win the case for it to impact the case against them.

Funny how your cheekily removed Arsenal from the list.  Grin

Edit; I did some research and the suit from City has nothing to do with any of the charges against them

Talk of the devil - Manchester City took the Premier League to court; now who is guilty? Premier League, or Manchester City? Taking the war to your enemies' lands before they do, holding them by the balls, and allowing both parties to settle out of court is a wise tactic in my opinion.
They are basically telling the Premier league, "we did not break your rules, your rules were broken from the beginning"

This suggests that they think the hearing will not go in their favor and they want to stay ahead of the proceedings, but I do not think they are the only club who have lost some level of faith in how the league is handling the legal part of business.

Edit; I did some research and the suit from City has nothing to do with any of the charges against them

Honestly I don't think they've done anything different from what Liverpool, Chelsea, Manutd and Arsenal has been doing over the years - undisclosed fees shit and all that... We're just jealous  Grin

Manchester City, even with a 10-point deduction, would still compete for the league title.
Yes they can compete, but I think it will be impossible for them to win it under such conditions. Only once have they won the league with over 10 points gap and that was when they finished with 100 points and United were second with 81. Everyone was so bad that season that Tottenham finished third.

If they're able to compete for the league with -10 points handicap then it further shows how far they're above all other teams. Assnal are only closest team to them , just lacking some fighting mentality.

I am tired of it as well. I hate it more when it is used to discredit what Pep has done in City or before then. It is a money spending sport now, all top clubs are splashing money on big players, some doing better business than others and City have been doing very good business in the last 5 years. Liverpool have also been doing very good business, their net spend is ridiculously low.

I do not even hold the 115 charge against them either and nothing will give more satisfaction than if we can win the league with Pep at the top of his game and zero point deductions. I would have loved Klopp to also be in the league at the time, but that ship has sailed already.

Yeah, Chelsea and Liverpool (COVID 19 trophy) are the only teams to win the trophy despite Pep's uproar; it wasn't easy, but it could have been worse without these two clubs. Imagine winning 4-5 times in a row. Manchester City, even with a 10-point deduction, would still compete for the league title.

Agree about moaning. I like that we won against City with Pep and money, I love when United finish 8th Igebotz. You excited about er, Maresca (don't know how to spell his name yet, just saw the headline quickly while out today)? Bayern getting a manager from a relegated team, Chelsea getting one from a team just promoted. We're getting a nobody in Europe. The world is funny, but hey, fresh managerial blood!

Arsenal are bloodthirsty, but it's difficult to dethrone Pep unless you're Conte or Klopp. Our managers are in beta mode, so I'm not too concerned. His performance would decide his fate at the end of the season.

Here I agreed with you about few things which are clearly saying if we have no Manchester City with their deep pockets then surely this Premier League is having more competitiveness and better place for the teams like Liverpool and Arsenal, but they ruin this all and won their last six titles with just all money. Even many are expecting punishment for them, but I am not positive about this all because they can bring changes as they wanted with this all case is taking too much time which is also creating confusion about this all.
Liverpool and Chelsea are going to be had interesting season which will be give how things will be work for them after having new coach, and we will have Arsenal and Manchester City again at the top spots as well.

The Pep money talk is becoming a pretty tiresome excuse because Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool have all spent more than City in recent years (Liverpool fans don't come with Net spend excuses, go and check City net spend), and City are still miles ahead of these teams.

It's about managing a successful project and making smart buying choices. Manchester City and Pep would never pay as much for Caicido, Enzo, Nunez, and Rice as other clubs did. Pep has been replacing outgoing players with less expensive ones over the last three seasons, whereas other clubs have been sacking and scrapping their teams every season and rebuilding them from scratch.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool (now) are all in rebuilding phase, which Manchester City finished five years ago. Other teams are far behind Pep; it is not about the money; if it were about the money, Chelsea and Manchester United would win or compete every season.

Nice prop to the burn, and I fell right into it.

Liverpool is an obviously more successful club than Arsenal, no debates there. But you have had your long patches of no success so you should understand better when we get a project like what Arteta has started and you are waiting for the results (trophies) to finally begin to show.

We are not celebrating being the second best team in the league, we want the title.

Arsenal are a really good team, much like ourselves over recent years if Man City weren’t breaking rules (115 charges) we might both have a couple of extra PL titles. Hopefully the authorities deal with them properly in the court case next season, Pep leaves in shame at the end of his current contract in 2025 summer, then the league will be more open.

In all honesty I don’t know what to expect from Slot. We have several areas of the team that need drastic improvement. Hopefully our cheapskate owners cough up this summer.

Me neither. I out of curiosity would have watched some clips of his former club play, but clips do not give the full picture, you have to follow performances over an entire season. Best of luck for next season.

Chelsea have made a mistake sacking Poch I think. He’d just started to get them playing well. The guy they’ve brought in is a puzzling one too, he hasn’t got the aura a club like Chelsea need.

True but the only positive aspect of it is that we won our last few games of the season with the new configuration, Enzo is well known for. ( Pushing the LB towards the midfield to push extra players into the opponent box. Worked fine with us. Knew un_rank was coming to your ass after that statement you made Grin

I think they do. Is that not how WestHam who finished 14th last season made it to the Europa league? I do not remember them playing any play-off matches.

Just found that out but we want CL football next season. Lol
